Santiago was really a wonderful guide. Being a basque himself he showed me the most important towns of the Basque Country, i.e. Bilbo, Gernika and Donostia, with great enthusiasm, excellent knowledge and absolute motivation. My wife & I experienced a wonderful private pintxos walking tour with Laura. We came into the Port of Bilbao on an Oceania cruise ship and met her in the old city at a specified meeting spot. She asked us our food preferences and adapted the tour to them. We sampled at least the amount called for of pintxos and drinks. The pintxos were all excellent! Prior to heading back to the port, we wanted to visit the Guggenheim Museum to check out the architecture and dog topiary. My wife and I did a 3-hour walking tour with Santi and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Santi was funny and engaging and shared a deep knowledge of Bilbao and the Basque Country both as a native but also from the outside as someone who lived abroad for 7 years. His English fluency is near-perfect, so he is able to articulate and communicate his knowledge in a deep and nuanced way. We really loved Bilbao, and taking a tour with Santi the first morning we were there was a very big part of that. We recommend him wholeheartedly. Enjoyable and informative

Rune took us to a good mix of pinxtos bars, each with a variety of options. He pointed out the typical local, and the "don't miss" options. Between stops, he was also very knowledgable about the local area and provided a good and interesting city tour. He was a great guide, and the personel introduction we got to Bilbao and pinxtos was well worth the price. Due to a late arrival in Bilbao on our part and the end of a 10 day long fiesta in Bilbao, we rescheduled our Pinxoa tour to the Monday lunch at Laura’s suggestion. This was brilliant as the massive crowds had well and truly dispersed and even though some of Laura’s favourite bars weren’t open we still had a wonderful experience. We did a bit more exploring, up to the cathedral on the hill after our first Pinxos and then back into town for a couple more bars. Laura is a warm and friendly host and it was lovely to talk to her about her experiences in moving to Bilbao with her Basque husband 6 years ago. We would thoroughly recommend Laura as a host as she is also very accommodating in switching plans if need be and she also gave us a great recommendation for dinner on our first night. Traditional Basque food cooked in a lovely low key restaurant in the Old Town. What a magnificent host Laura is!

We had a wonderful experience with Joseba in Bilbao! He was a local and also deeply knowledgeable. It showed in the way he introduced the city to us, locating it in history and geography and crafting the walk accordingly. We chose the 10 Tastings in Bilbao in order to learn more about the local culture and foods. Laura was our guide and could not have done a better job. She treated us like family, taught us about the local foods, and was very patient with our slower style of movement. She thought of everything as our food tour progressed from breakfast type foods to more hearty dishes. She even brought an extra umbrella for us to use since we were visiting from a cruise ship. Realizing our time was limited because of the cruise, Laura took us to the Guggenheim and assisted with a taxi back to our ship. My wife and I recently took a 3 hour guided walking tour of Bilbao with Endika. It was a fantastic way to get to know the city and it's history. Endika has both a passion for travel, and a passion for Bilbao. He was in communication with us before we arrived in Bilbao to ask if there was anything special we wanted to see, and also on the day of our tour to make sure we knew exactly where to meet. The logistics worked out perfectly, the tour gave us a very good feel for how to get around the city center, which made shopping, dining, etc. much easier. After our tour finished we decided to take a river tour as well and Endika was helpful in finding out the time and location to catch the boat. Overall, it was a great tour with a really passionate and informed tour guide. We highly recommend Endika for any tour your are thinking about in and and round Bilbao and the Basque country!!!!!Awesome Tour with Endika!
