Overall, we were disappointed with the experience. While the tour guide was friendly and we were able to see parts of the city, the interaction often felt awkward as the guide never made eye contact with us. This lack of engagement made it difficult to start a conversation, and large portions of the tour were spent in silence. In addition, the advertised theme of the tour was unfortunately not delivered. We had booked the Hausmann Tour, which promised “stories of transformation, architecture, and design,” but what we received was essentially a standard Paris city tour, including explanations of basic concepts such as a zebra crossing. Overall, the tour did not meet the expectations set by its description, and the guide’s skills appeared to be, at best, average.Paris Tour

We booked the tour and provided our detailed food interests to Isabel, however no shop regarding food and snacks was recommended during the tour. Isabel is friendly and very knowledgeable about historical facts however the brief wasn’t really followed. The emphasise of the tour wasn’t based on our interests, but the history of the Jews and especially during the time of the Second World War in Paris. We didn’t choose the neighbourhood of Marais but asked Isabel to recommend a neighbourhood due to our food interests. We specifically indicated our interest for macaron, croissant and cheese and charcuterie and wine. We spent a good 3 hours and received historical and Parisian facts but had to walk into several random shops without any recommendation to get something to eat ; the only food recommendation we received at the end of the tour was for falafel which we didn’t request or were interested in. We ended at a lovely wine bar which we did request but felt it would have been better if this was done half way through. If you are interested in the history of the Jewish population, this will be your tour otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it. A better follow of the brief would have been appreciated. Isabel is a really great guide and a wonderful person to walk the streets of paris with. We did the latin quarter walk and the montmartre walk with her across two days. She is very knowledgeable about almost anything related to Paris history. She was very sweet and it felt like we were walking with a friend in Paris. She stopped for some interesting bites of food as well along the way. There wasn't a single question she couldn't answer. I highly recommend her for your paris trip. Amazing 2 days with Isabel

Although we have been to Paris several times, Anukool still managed to surprise us with his excellent knowledge and enthusiasm for this wonderful city. We did a walking tour of The Marais with Welly and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. My partner and I have been to Paris about 9 times between us so on this trip we wanted to try something different so decided to go with a private tour to get learn about the history of the area and also see things we just wouldn’t see on our own and that is exactly what we got. Welly tailored to tour to what we wanted to see. He was an absolute wealth of knowledge about Paris and the Marais area. We learnt history from the inception of Paris right through to WWII and the more recent history of the Marais region particularly. Welly was so wonderful at communicating with us before our tour to ensure we had exactly the day we wanted. Our tour went at the pace we needed (slower after many days of walking) and focused on sights and history according to our interests. Anukool helped us get the most out of our time in Paris. Our group spent 6 hours him during which time he showed us major historical sites, lesser known attractions, and some hidden gems of Paris. He is timely and polite, charismatic and accommodating. He demonstrated encyclopedic knowledge of world history, art, architecture, and French culture. I have visited Paris on another two occasions but this visit was certainly the standout and most memorable and I think part of this was because we kicked off our time in Paris with a fabulous walking tour through the streets with Welly as our tour guide. We really loved getting to hear more about the history of this wonderful city and have a local take us through some of the notable but maybe less touristy and less well known sites that were local to Saint Germaine where we stayed. Having a tour flexible to our preferences and from a local gave us a whole new perspective and insights into Paris we personally found to be valuable and something we got more from than a standard hop on hop off tour that is more touristy and covers the sites everyone knows. Welly was also great at sharing information and planning a tour that engaged our children ages 11 and 13 and answering their questions. He was patient with them and his English was easily understood by us Australians with limited French language skills! Lastly he really took note of our interests and preferences during the tour and afterwards sent us a lovely bunch of recommendations crafted to our personal interests that were convenient to where we were staying in terms of restaurants, shopping and places to visit. We found this personalised touch very thoughtful and useful. I am so glad we booked this tour with Welly and believe it really helped us all fall in love with Paris. We will be back again! Everything went extremely well and he customized our tour just as we asked taking us around to "hidden gems." This tour was satisfactory but didn’t blow us away. Our guide, Anukool was friendly and had some great historical knowledge. However, we had to put him back on track a few times as he would drift into conversation about sports or travel elsewhere, we really wanted to learn as much as possible about the St. Germain area and the tour was a bit loose / not structured. Anukool also arrived 15 minutes late and we ran almost an hour over time. Which was fine but might’ve left people who had later plans not getting the full experience. Walking tour. Latin District
