Our family of four had a wonderful time doing the trip to Shifen and Jiufen with Jessica. She is a great guide, knows a lot but not intrusive, we avoided crowds, got great pictures and learned so much. June is a hot time of year to visit Taiwan and the Yehliu Geopark is sun-baked and HOT. Be sure to carry an umbrella, not for rain but for shade. I asked Jessica to be sure to include hiking in our tour. She did. We had a great adventure and saw more of the geopark than most visitors, hiking out to the light house. Then by our request, she extended our tour by visiting Shifen old street and its waterfall. A great day and back in our hotel to nap before going out to the Huaxi night market. A bonus, Jessica was interesting to talk to about life in Taiwan. As valuable as seeing the sights and a big reason for my high rating.A Sweaty Adventure ;-)

The visit to the Shifen Waterfall 十分瀑布 was beautiful, the visit to the village Shifen Old Street 十分老街 was spectacular, but we missed the necessary help to find out where to eat. At the end of the day the visit to the Jioufen 九份, was very fast, looked all nice, but we were not able to enjoy it very much due to the short available time.Fast through the gold miner's valley

We are a family of four (kids 12 and 9) and are doing a 10 day trip in Taiwan. We were looking for options to visit Juifen and the surrounding area and got in contact with Jessica through this site. Jessica was great giving us a quick overview and cycling tour of downtown Taipei. I had trouble finding someone to arrange transportation from the airport as when you have limited time in a layover the last thing you want to do is deal with all the logistic headaches of getting to and from the airport. I found out after the fact, Jessica does that and wish we would have Avoided all the craziness of their subway system. From enjoying a night market tour, to biking into Tamsui and a visit to the National Palace Museum - my Intro-to-Greater Taipei couldnt' have been with a better companion. I travel all the time and I've never left the airport during a layover- but this layover was 8 hours and my friend and I decided to give it a try. We made arrangements with Jessica because we loved her profile and she made it so easy! She picked us up right at the airport, stored our luggage and we were off. Even though we only did a few hours, Jessica was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions (a big feat considering we are both professors!). She knew a lot about history and also contemporary things going on in the city. It was truly a great introduction of Taipei! We will definitely be contacting Jessica again when we return.Best. She took us around to some city highlights that we never would have found on our own and she explained the history of Taiwan as well as some of the culture and traditions in a way that was super engaging and interesting. I really enjoyed this multi-faceted tour! We strolled the old streets and visited one of the more ornate and older temples along the river and then pedaled along the scenic river stopping to explore the mangroves along the way. Our ultimate destination was a picturesque and bustling bay teeming with history, food vendors and activity. We arrived in time to enjoy some tasty treats and take in a majestic sunset. Me, my wife and our 6 year-old had a very fun layover in Taipei after a grueling 14+ hr flight from Los Angeles. We are so happy we booked this trip to make the most out of our 10 hour layover at TPE. Jessica picked us from the airport early in the morning, drove us to the center of Taipei to see some of the sights, explained a lot of interesting landmarks and historical facts along the way and took great pictures of our family. For lunch, she took us to a bustling small eats place near the the Chiang Kai-Shek memorial, and from there to Sogo for some quick shopping for Hello Kitty paraphernalia for our daughter. Then, she bought us boba tea, drove us around some more and finally back to the airport to catch our next flight. The price was very reasonable considering she spent like 6 hours driving us around and walking us to various places. Jessica is passionate and very knowledgeable about Taiwan's history and the tour is highly recommended for history nerds like me. She is also a very safe driver in her Tesla X. For our last day in Taipei we decided to book Jessica's 3 hour bike tour to Tamsui and we were absolutely blown away. This was one of our favorite tours and being Taiwanese, I thought this was such a cool way to see a new area I don't usually go to. Jessica's english was perfect for my fiancé, and she gave us nuggets of information around the Guandu Temple before we departed on the You Bike's for Tamsui. While we were riding, Jessica slowed down to show us cool parts of the nature preserve we were biking through. She also never hesitated to capture a picture perfect moment throughout the entire tour. Once the tour was over in Tamsui, Jessica gave us plenty of options to continue exploring in the area. This tour was so fun and I'd highly recommend not only this tour but also our great guide!A very unique and active experience!
