Our Tour of Brussels with Eric was fabulous! His knowledge of the city he calls home is amazing. We had a fantastic experience with Eric. Our meeting spot was easy to find, and we began our tour by ascending to the rooftop bar of a nearby building, where we could see the whole of Brussels from above. Eric was truly a wealth of information. He is a native of Brussels who obviously loves his city and is eager to share its history and unique charm. Over the course of our 3-hour tour, we covered much of the central part of the city – all the major highlights, as well as a few “hidden gems” that were off the beaten path. And at every stop, Eric explained the history and significance of what we were seeing and thoughtfully answered all of our questions (and we had plenty). We especially appreciated his extensive knowledge of the demolition and reconstruction of many parts of the city that occurred throughout the centuries, and where the few remaining medieval sections were located. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Eric is amazing, and we will definitely book with him again on our next trip to Brussels – maybe even for a guided day trip to Bruges or Ghent. We had a blast with Cristophe. He has a great personality and knows so much about Brussels. He took us to the classic buildings and points of interest that you need to see when you visit Brussels, but then also took us to unique little gems that we would have never been able to find on our own. For example, he took us to all three of the “P“ statues and also to a small part of the canal that still exists that used to go through the center of Brussels. Eric is a true expert in Brussels. He has great insight, great wit and really listened to our questions and added in a new venue based on my love of Art Deco. Eric’s chocolate tasting was the first item on the agenda in our first day in Brussels, and it was absolutely perfect. He has incredible knowledge that encompasses both the history of Brussels and the history of the fantastic chocolates we were eating. We were a group of 10 Wales football fans who were visiting Brussels to watch Wales play Belgium and we were keen to learn more about the city. At very short notice Christophe took us on a very interesting walking tour around the main sights - and lots of “off the beaten track” sights and viewpoints that we would never have found without his local knowledge. His English was excellent and we learnt so much about the history and architecture of this beautiful place. Christophe was flexible and accommodated all our requests in a friendly way. We had a lovely walk around Brussels with Christophe. He clearly knows a lot about the city and is proud to live there. He showed us the main tourist sites plus a few places we would probably not have found ourselves. Shanthuru is an excellent guide! I took the tour 5 months pregnant and he was considerate of me when I needed to stop and buy water and even asked if he was walking too fast which was not necessary but very much appreciated! He is very knowledgeable of all things Brussels and gave us great recommendations for sweet and savory snacks, food and dinner. My partner and I recently had the pleasure of taking a walking tour of Brussels with a local guide named Eric, and it was truly a highlight of our trip.
