We took a bike tour with Annet as a family (two parents and two teenagers) and it was honestly one of the top highlights of our whole trip. It took a minute to get used to the back-pedal brakes, but Annet's positive and enthusiastic energy helped us get comfortable quickly. She made something that might have felt intimidating—biking through a busy city—feel totally doable and fun. We saw parts of Amsterdam we never would have found on our own and felt like locals weaving through the streets and canals. Best of all, she also happens to be an incredible photographer. She captured some of our favorite photos from the entire trip—honestly, she’s both a tour guide and a professional photographer in one. We did a walking tour with her and her in-depth knowledge of Danish history and culture is astounding. We than picked up bikes and went on an exciting ride to the park and the Rijksmuseum. Sebastian took us on a large loop where we saw a variety of neighborhoods and architecture. He was able to weave historical context into much of what we were seeing. We three adults had a great time riding through various roads and backroads around central Amsterdam with Annet. We’re reasonably accomplished riders but it was most helpful having a guide through all the pedestrian, car and tram traffic! Also the bike had back-brakes instead of hand brakes which took some adjustment for starting and stopping. Annet was informative and very helpful with photographic tips and finding photogenic spots. My husband and I recently did a bike tour with Sebastian while visiting Amsterdam. The whole experience was great from start to finish. We met Sebastian at a bike rental store (a tip about that later), and then our journey of about three hours began. We were brought to the banks of the river, great architectural buildings, must eat restaurants, and various local parks where we eventually stopped for a coffee and great conversation at a coffee house. (No, not that kind of coffee shop for those who know what I am talking about!). The tour ended in the canals area which brought different sights. I specifically enjoyed this tour with Sebastian because he brought us out of the city itself to see other parts we would not have done so without it. As a guide, Sebastian is very knowledgeable about the city, and is super friendly. The bike tour itself is not strenuous, as it stays mainly on flat roads, and starts and ends at the same location. Ok, now for my tip: book bikes in advance with hand brakes; it’s negligibly more expensive versus the pedal brakes, but worth it. This is a great tour for a traveler’s first full day in Amsterdam to get an overview of the beautiful city, and I highly recommend you book Sebastian for the experience. A great tour with Sebastian!

We were nervous about our Amsterdam cycling tour. Cyclists are many and seemed to own the roads. Roads are tiny and crowded. We did not know how we were going to fare. All went well. Carolina gave us a nice tour in a city full of bikes. The day was not the perfect one because it was heavy raining all the time of the tour so that made the experience not that easy, but Carolina worried about taking us to a place to buy ponchos for the rain and made all the efforts to make the experience enjoyable. She even offered to change the date to another but the weather forecast those days was not very encouraging to change the date. Our family had a delightful bike tour through Amsterdam with Anna. Since we were first time visitors, we didn't really know what we wanted to see. Anna took us to see many of the main attractions, sharing interesting and fun history along the way.
