From the beginning, meeting her in the courtyard of the Louvre, she was full of energy and got us going. It was great to go the "back way" into the museum that the tour guides have access to. Fe had a set plan and route for us to see the popular and well known pieces but along the way she gave us interesting history and background of the museum and the history and development of art. She helped us understand and see the changes over time in how sculptors and artists changed their styles and forms. It felt like we got an advanced understanding of art history as part of the package. After our time was up, she also helped us get oriented to go and see other pieces that were on our list. While I like museums and the stories that art tells us through the millennia, I am no art history major and don’t know a lot. I just like learning. I usually don’t like tours. I’ve been on a few and have been very annoyed and disappointed— Until this experience. Julien had a strategy that met our goals. He was able to read us very quickly and understand how to tailor our tour with questions that made us think and build upon what we knew and don’t know. He was not pretentious yet incredibly knowledgeable, wise, and a seasoned Louvre fan! I learned about him via a friend who I trust. I, otherwise, would never have hired a private tour guide, or have joined any tour. You get what you pay for. It was AMAZING! I left with a new lense through which to view art and enjoy the museum experience without being an art history major. Highly recommend Fe as a tour guide of both these amazing museums. Fe is so passionate and knowledgeable she knew her way around both museums like they were her own home and was able to give us a progressive understanding of how things changed throughout the ages. Not to mention being able to avoid all the crowds and queues taking us to the best spots and seeing things we would never have found on our own. For 3 adults with no cultural background we walked away with such a great appreciation for the art and artefacts we saw. Highly recommend Fe as she is fun and easy to talk to and had a great way of including us all which was a tough task given we had two adult males in our party who had zero artistic understanding. We had a great tour with Bibiana! To be completely honest, the Louvre is a VERY tough place to visit right now. The crowds were unbelievable. I am glad we went because I wanted my kids to experience it, but I am extremely happy we went with this private tour. I can't imagine trying to visit the museum in its current state (in terms of capacities) without an expert helping us to navigate the space. Bibiana helped us beat a few lines. She was also very patient with my son (he is 8) who was struggling with the crowds and noise. Private tours are of course pricey, but in this case we definitely found the cost to be worth it. Great tour!

My husband and my aunt both needed wheelchairs for our tour through the Louvre in Paris. She came up with a Rive Gauche impromptu itinerary and helped us get BACK to the cathedral after the emergency. Julien was a wonderful guide through the Louvre for three adults and two kids - age 9 and 7 - who had never been. He took what would have been an incredibly overwhelming experience - as we only had 2-3 hours, and we were there at a very busy time period- and kept us on track to hit some famous highlights in that short window of time. We booked Julien through a referral from a friend and this was easily one of the best things we did on our honeymoon. Julien was amazing. He made the Louvre feel personal, approachable, and honestly kind of magical. I’m not an art expert by any stretch, but he made everything feel interesting and easy to understand. The way he told the stories behind the paintings and sculptures really brought them to life. We didn’t have a direction or focus we wanted and entrusted our experience to him. He also picked up on the fact that we were on our honeymoon and added these thoughtful touches throughout the tour. We wanted to book a tour to make the most of our Louvre experience both for us and our children aged 11 and 13 rather than be overwhelmed with such an huge collection of art and the crowds. We are not art experts and wanted to have a tour guide help us to get the most from the experience and enhance our understanding and appreciation of the amazing and notable pieces on display. We weren’t sure booking a group tour would keep them engaged and give us what we were after so we opted for a personal tour with Bibiana. We found Bibiana to be warm, friendly and fun and in our time together she covered the early history of the Louvre when it was a palace showing us the old foundations and taking us back in time in the history of France before helping enlighten us on the evolution of Greek and Roman sculptures and art. Both my husband and I felt Bibiana gave us a whole new appreciation for the more famous pieces by classical masters and by the time we parted we felt like experts and could admire the art in a whole new way. We appreciated that Bibiana also made sure to engage our children asking them questions and pointing out aspects to them throughout the tour as well. We were able to skip the line to enter through an alternative entry which was also a bonus and time saver given we visited during the Summer when crowds are at their peak. Overall I definitely felt touring with Bibiana enhanced our overall Louvre experience. A fantastic Louvre experience

We had the best time with Fe as our guide. She took us through the highlights of the museum unwinding the history of the development of impressionism, which made the art interesting to even my 12 year old who was not particularly excited about 2 hours in an art museum! Fe was enthusiastic and excited about art history and her knowledge and ability to explain about each work in a fun and exciting way was way beyond our expectations! This was the BEST way to tour a large art museum, especially with kids! Both kids, 10 and 12, thought it was fantastic and that she was amazing. We met the smiling Bibiana in front of the Musee D'Orsay, which had been unexpectedly closed for technical reasons. The queues outside were kilometric! Bibiana skillfully navigated us through the crowds and has us inside the building within minutes. Bibiana abounds with natural enthusiasm when sharing her knowledge of the museum and its art collection. Fe was amazing. We loved it. The tour was great and she was incredibly knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to book with her again. The only thing I would mention-which is a Tours with Locals issue, unrelated to Fe- is that the tour times listed aren’t necessarily available if tickets are already sold out through the main Louvre site. For example we booked a 9a-11a tour planning on hustling to the Mona Lisa with a smaller viewing crowd but even though she had us pre-book tickets, they were sold out at that time and the earliest available were 10 which allows for a 9:30 entry. Seems like not a big deal but changed our timing of plans for the day and made the Mona Lisa viewing meh. Fe was excellent, made the most of it, and gave us extra tour time so it’s definitely not a Fe issue. She was truly was an exceptional guide. Just double check the Louvre site when you are deciding on time and buy tickets early!! Great tour!
