While on our cruise, we realized we had 3.5 hours after we disembarked in Barcelona before we needed to check in for our flight. After an awesome Barcelona pre-cruise food tour with Vicky, we decided we wanted her to pick us up at the Cruise Port, see some more of Barcelona and then drop us off at the airport. Vicky developed an itinerary with the cost, emailed it to me for approval and then she and the driver picked us up at the Cruise Port. Another awesome tour of a wonderful city with a rich history, culture and food. We stopped and toured around the Olympic Village and walked along the beach. We stopped at a noted Paella restaurant for a very tasteful lunch. After taking a post lunch walk and visiting two Chocolate stores, it was time to head to the airport. Highly recommend that you engage Vicky in any tour that she leads! She has become family and we can’t wait to visit Barcelona again to have her show us more highlights. We loved the walking food tour with our guide. We were a family of 4, with an 11-year-old child. She made it fun and interesting for all of us. We learned about the history of Barcelona and saw some interesting things along the way to the restaurants, like a folk festival with dancing and a band, and a parade as well. The tapas we got to pick out at the restaurant were enough to count as a meal. The dessert we had at the restaurant next door was heavenly!Great food tour in Barcelona!

We went wine tasting and to Montserrat with Elvira. It was a really cold day, but I can't blame that on Elvira. Despite the cold we had a lovely day. Good wine and interesting conversation with both Elvira and the young owner of the winery. The monastery was also nice, and I think we will come back on a warmer day. Elvira knows a lot and shares her knowledge in an inviting way as she is also clearly interested in what we said. Very interesting to hear about the history of Catalonia. We did the 10 tastings of Barcelona with Elvira. As a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 kids (10 and 13), we had very different preferences for food. She adjusted quickly and made sure we had a great tour. As it was our first day in Barcelona, and we were very jet-lagged, we were not as hungry as we should have been for such a tour, so she quickly pivoted and included some walking and historic tour of the City. We had the best day with Elvira - she was so accommodating and knowledgeable. She took us to the usual parts of the Abby but also to the newly opened museum that no one seemed to know about - it was like a private showing! From the Abby to the winery she took us on back roads so we could see more of the areas natural beauty. The winery was fantastic - small, intimate with amazing Catalonian wine.
