We spent a fascinating half day exploring the Egyptian Museum with Maga. As an archaeologist, Maga brings great insight into the history of Egypt and it's pharoahs. However, if you only want to see and hear the usual stories, Maga probably isn't the first choice. He had taken on board what we were interested in and did his best to show us everything we wanted to see. He showed us many fascinating, and often overlooked, key exhibits, as well as the unmissable ones such as Tutankhamen. We had made the mistake of booking a Friday afternoon, so our time was limited. Thank you for Maga for taking us around the Pyramids of Giza, Dahshur (Bent Pyramid), and Saqqara! It was wonderful hearing about the pyramids through an academic perspective - Maga is an archaeologist who has worked on the pyramids and has a PhD degree (working on a second one)! We learned so much today and he answered all of our questions as best as he could. The Giza pyramids were grand, Bent Pyramid was a workout (although worth going to), and Saqqara had beautiful mastabas! He also had amazing food recommendations for us around town and the car was super comfortable. Highly recommended!Learned so much about the pyramids!

Moustafa was truly the best guide I've ever had. He went above and beyond, starting with a phone call in which we discussed my interests and what I wanted to get out of the tour. He customized our say based on my interests, and confirmed our meeting point. While on the tour, he made himself available to answer any question I had - I am a curious person, I asked a lot, he didn't hesitate to answer. He's incredibly articulate, can get deep into the history (if you're interested), and share insights into how what society was like in different periods of time and how things have evolved to where we are today. He opened my eyes into seeing the world from a different perspective - I'm incredibly grateful. Safety was a top priority, he ensured I was safe and felt comfortable. He was always looking out for me as I negotiated in the market. I felt like I made a friend at the end of the tour. I did this tour solo while my friends were working - They all regret not joining me. 10/10 would go on another tour with Moustafa when I return to Egypt. The best way to visit Cairo!

We recently returned from a wonderful bespoke holiday in Egypt with many highlights, from living like a king for two days at the Al Moudira Hotel in Luxor, to 5 days cruising the Nile in total privacy on the Dahabeya Aqua, to 2 blissful nights in the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan. We topped it off with three nights at the brand new Giza Palace Hotel and Spa. All fantastic. But what made the end of our trip really special was the two days we spent with Nesreen exploring the pyramids, temples and tombs of Saqqara and Giza, and old Cairo, street food included. Nesreen makes Cairo come alive, transferring a regular tourist trip into a deep dive into Egypt's and Cairo's rich and fascinating history. Her warm and fun personality certainly adds to the experience, as does her deep knowledge of both Egyptian ancient and modern society. We wish we would have had more days to explore Both Cairo and the region with Nesreen as our guide, and when (not if) we visit Cairo again, Nesreen will be the first person to call! We were in Cairo at the end of February 2021. We ordered 4 days of excursions for 6 people from Mohammed (Magamed). From the very beginning, we liked the guide's attitude to organizing excursions. We agreed on everything via WhatsApp, he responded as quickly and clearly as possible. Good, understandable Russian. For the six of us, we were provided with a minibus with a separate driver and a security guard from the tourist police (according to the laws of the country, groups of more than 5 people must be accompanied by security). Mohammed himself was our guide for two days out of four. This was the day when we saw the Cairo Museum and the Pyramids of Giza and the day with the pyramids of Dahshur and Saqqara. Magnificent excursions, conducted with soul, a lively, professional story from an archaeologist specialist. You can feel the love for his profession and the desire to convey this love to the listener. We learned a lot of things that you will not find in any guidebook, visited places that you would hardly get to if you visited on your own. Mohammed organized two other excursions (a sightseeing tour of Cairo with a visit to the camel market near Cairo and another excursion to Alexandria) with other guides, those who can show their hometown better, know every corner well. All the excursions were eventful. I also really liked the guide in Cairo, but compared to other guides, Mohammed is the best! In addition to his professional qualities, he is a very nice person, intelligent, calm, smiling. I can safely recommend Mohammed to everyone as an excellent guide and organizer. Before writing, I read the previous reviews with great pleasure. I am very glad that people speak so warmly about Mohammed's work. We traveled around Egypt for 11 days and we have something to compare with. Mohammed is the best! Let's start with the fact that he is an active archaeologist, a scientist, and this is very valuable. In three days spent next to Mohammed, we learned a lot of interesting things from the history of Ancient Egypt, which are simply impossible to find on your own. In fact, we learned the history of Egypt! We found this especially interesting, because these are facts presented by a person who has been engaged in science all his life. This helped us a lot, since the guide in Luxor was very unsuccessful, but we were armed with the knowledge put into our heads by Mohammed! I mean that if I could go back, I would invite Mohammed with me and would not spare any money! But, you must agree, not every person wants to be around 24 hours. Now I come to the main thing! In addition to the fact that I absolutely agree with the previous reviews about the organization: everything is very clear, not a single minute in lines, flexible attitude when planning excursions, Mahkhomed is simply a very good person: intelligent, smart, educated, with a great sense of humor, an intellectual. We had a great time on our food tour with Mohamed! We had a large group, ranging in ages from 10 - 70 and everyone enjoyed it. Mohamed truly went above and beyond! We had booked the tour on an Egyptian national holiday and one of the restaurants was going to be closed, so Mohamed offered to meet us there the night before for no extra charge. He ordered us all the best options and showed us around the restaurant, only to take us back out to complete the tour the following night. Definitely someone who is skeptical of going with a guide, but Nasreen (Nana) was super excited, knowledgeable, and accommodating for our unique pyramids itinerary. We started in the morning and traveled to Giza, had a lovely breakfast at Khufu’s, and checked out the Sphinx. You should go inside the pyramids, but be warned it’s physically demanding and not visually spectacular inside- the most in tact Egyptian burial art is in the valley of the kings in Luxor. Overall, definitely worth going with Nana for her encyclopedic explanations of ancient Egyptian history, and larger context for the country’s current culture/identity. We got lucky finding Nesreen for our trip to the pyramids in Cairo! She made our day so much better than we expected. After reading horror stories online about pushy guides and tourist traps in Egypt, I was pretty worried. But Nesreen was nothing like that. She kept things fun and interesting for all of us - even managed to keep our teenage boys engaged! She never rushed us or pushed us into any shops, which was a huge relief. Her English is great, and she knows her stuff about Egyptian history. What really stood out was how incredibly trustworthy she is - we felt completely at ease with her the entire time. Her kindness and generosity showed in everything she did, from taking extra time to explain things to my kids to helping us navigate local customs. We went on the food tour in Cairo just before starting a Nile cruise. Mohammed was a great guide…puntual at picking us up at our hotel, and a joy to be with. We visited 3 separate establishments to taste a variety of foods, including Koshary, Hawishi, Kofta and more. His contacts where we ate gave great explanations and offered us much information. Would definitely recommend. It lasted 3 hours from start to finish. Our only complaint was that there was too much food!Wonderful experience!

Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit mit Nana in Kairo. Sie hat uns ihre Stadt jenseits der Touristenmassen gezeigt. Sie ist toll auf unsere Kinder eingegangen und wir hatten einfach unglaublich viel Spaß. Wir sind wirklich viel gereist, aber das Erlebnis mit Nana war eines der besten aller Zeiten!Es war großartig! Mido was very helpful and knowledgeable, he make sure all 16 of us were happy and were able to enjoy our time in Egypt. Tido also bought a yummy cake for one of my friends daughter's bday too... he is very understanding onto knowing our need of time at the museum. Over all a great experience with him.10/10 review

Abdou was absolutely amazing during our time in Luxor. We visited the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, and the Open-Air Museum—all stunning places made even better by Abdou’s incredible knowledge of Egyptian history. He explained everything in such a simple and interesting way, and we never felt overwhelmed. What really impressed us was how much he went above and beyond. We needed help arranging a driver for another destination and advice on hot air ballooning, and Abdou handled it all like a pro. Honestly, he’s better than most hotel concierges!
