I did a 5 hour walking hour with Elvina and it honestly felt like much longer. Elvina is patient even prior to our tour and accommodated all the changes I had to make. I saw so many places, learnt so many things and ate the most delicious apple pie. She share alot of information in a clear, systematic and witty manner at an eas pace which I really loved. She constantly checked on me to see if I needed anything. I laughed alot with her and she helped to take very nice photos which I most grateful for. I literally passed many houses with little secrets which I now know about, thanks to Elvina. There were also a couple of surprise locations. What an absolute treat and delight to spend the afternoon with Helena. She knows how to get around the town. From contemporary street art that I would never have found to the inside story of some of the classic portions of Old Amsterdam. Helena had it all at her command. Great trips on places to dine or grab a beer. There's no way to describe what a wonderful opportunity it is... The best part is - she will customize the experience to be exactly what your group would like for it to be. I've been on a lot of walking tours in many cities around Europe as this one is Tops. Helena met me at my hotel lobby at the prescribed time to begin our tour. She took me to so many places I wouldn’t of seen ordinarily. She’s very knowledgeable, and the kind of person that you feel comfortable with. She becomes much of a friend! We had an enjoyable lunch at a quaint restaurant that she picked out that had excellent food. Helena definitely knows Amsterdam. It's often hard to please 8 people, especially when those 8 people have varying degrees of interest in art. That was not a problem with Marten's tour of the Rijksmuseum. Martin set the stage by telling a brief history of the Netherlands. He continued the lesson with a walk through the museum providing historical context to the painting styles and content of the art we viewed. Marten was very knowledgeable. He encouraged questions and engagement by the group. By the end of the tour, everyone in our group was a budding art historian. Tommi was a very good guide and he knew a lot about the history of Amsterdam. He had an excellent way of explaining the history. The only problem that we had was the extra walking that Tommi took us on to see a park that was outside of downtown and really didn't pertain much to the Dutch history. This was our first withlocals tour, but we both think it's very great if the tour guide speaks your native tongue. Sebastian can speak Dutch, English and German. He welcomes you very warmly and is very interested in getting to know his guests and accomosates for their personal background. It was a real pleasure to have chats with him, learn from his past, walking his tour through seemingly the whole of Amsterdam – in retrospect we were impressed on how many places we've been. His approach was structured well, e.g. he introduced topics at the beginning and showed us them in reality in the course of the tour. We tasted some specialities, got recommendations and loved his future-oriented approach and that we could really talk about different topics and not just get oberwhelmed by information. Only at the beginning he told us three dates which could be repeated to really remember them ;)Very personal, open and generous

Arun was great in taking time to understand what we needed. He was patient and took us round explaining the Dutch history and architecture, the canals and the history between each, he took time to take us to picturesque places where we got amazing shots. Elvina was super punctual and in fact was waiting for me, and I was 5 mins early. I had someone else take me through the city earlier and booked the Red Light District tour with Elvina. She was super knowledgeable about the history and new the area really well. Guided me though the are explaining how things worked and more importantly the culture and dos and don't when it comes to the Red Light district. Very educational and I enjoyed the tour.
