Cristóbal is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He toured us around the city and gave us lots of information about things we would not otherwise know or find out easily. He took us to local places to eat delicious food and told us about the history of the markets. We walked through parks, cultural areas and we saw beautiful buildings. More than that we fun with him because is a lovely person. Nothing was too much trouble and he continued to give us advice on how to get to our next destination and what to watch out for. The bar and restaurant recommendations he gave us for our evening were also excellent- now we have a pisco sour headache 🤣 He’s a really awesome guide and we totally recommend doing this tour with Cristóbal! Cristobal went out of his way to plan an amazing day out for us to fully experience Santiago and Valparaiso. We had a short stopover and Cristobal managed to cram in a food & history tour of central Santiago followed by an afternoon exploring the alleyways and street art in the hills of Valparaiso finishing with a lovely evening meal in a backstreet restaurant. Cristobal has an extensive knowledge of Santiago/Chilean history along with a true foodies love and appreciation of everything edible to be found in the city (including a few sweet highlights from the south). We asked Cristobal to show us some of his Santiago favorites, a bit “off the beaten path” - and he delivered! We saw some beautiful plazas and learned lots of history, enjoyed a classic cafe, and ventured to the fish market for a delicious lunch. Claudia is very knowledgeable and she doesn’t just give you the historical story but includes recent discoveries, and opposing opinions. I felt much more informed about Chilean history and Santiago after the tour and had a few good laughs with Claudia. The only reason I don’t give it full marks is because the tour could have been a bit more personalised - especially the first hour that we spent on the same square.Great guide. This was my first time in Santiago (first time in Chile, at all) and honestly I didn’t know what I should be doing/seeing or even much of the history. Travel websites weren’t very helpful bc they all suggest excursions that take you out of the city, but I wanted to SEE the city I was staying in! Patrick has an absolute wealth of knowledge ranging from history to architecture to nature and even the weather! We had great conversation and he was extremely friendly/helpful. My favorite way to learn about a new city and country is a food tour. Food = culture. Pablo was the perfect guide to lead us on a food tour where we ate with and like locals. Pablo provided us with a view into local Chilean food, culture, music and architecture. We went places we never would have discovered on our own. We talked for hours and learned so much. The Vega Central market experience was a highlight. I would highly recommend. Eat like a local!
