We had a great tour with Cesar. The communication with the meeting point was all clear and Cesar was incredibly knowledgeable and proud of Valencia. He asked us what we liked and how much local info we wanted to hear, which was great. The food stops were places that were generally used by locals and his recommendations were great. He also explained why he’d chosen the dishes and their connection to Valencia. Cesar has a great sense of humour and it felt as though we were with a friend rather than a tour guide on another booking. While our guide was very nice and I think his intentions are great, as new visitors to Valencia we didn't feel this tour added what it was supposed to for a food tour for the money. We have done food tours in other cities and the advantages are usually the guides of knowing people and places as to expedite ordering and multiple local dishes- we didn't get exposed to many expected favorites like potato bravas, local ham, paella or even anything in the Central Market which felt strange because he kept saying everything was unusually busy. We also didn't learn many traditions unless we asked. Just felt awkward.

Family of five took a Valencia food tour with Cesar. We were difficult. Food allergies and some individual dislikes. The whole way he made us feel at ease, customizing the your and sharing his favorite versions of some of the region's famous foods. We did two tours with Maria: a general guide around the centre of Valencia taking in (amongst others): Central Market; Silk Exchange; the palace housing the ceramics museum as well as a number of churches. The second, foodie tour focussed mainly around the narrow streets of the northern central part of the city (Barrio del Carmen) taking in on the way the Cathedral and Basilica, Parroquia de San Nicolas and Torres de Serranos. We thoroughly enjoyed Maria’s description of the buildings as well as some of the city’s history. We had three food stops taking in, amongst others, a small former pharmacy turned into a barInsightful tour, lovely lady

En: it’s nice to have a tour trough Venice with someone how knows the ins and outs of this city. Thanks to her my mom could be able to rest in between the walks. NL: het was leuk om een tour te krijgen door Venecië gegeven door iemand die er ruim 40 jaar woont. Een echte reiziger die haar uitleg goed visueel weet te maken. An excellent tapas tour for 3 people. Danny took the time to determine our preferences at the start and built the tour from there. We have done the tapas experience tour with Velentín. He showed us around the great beautiful old city and told us about history, the typical things of the Valencia people but what we enjoyed most of all he let us TASTE València! It was a experience of tasting, with a begin and an end. He built it up from sweet to savoury and with the most tasteful drinks it was great! We asked him to talk in Spanish because we have Spanish lessons, but when he thought we didn't understand it, he explained more in English. It happend very naturally. Valentín is very friendly, calm and relaxed person to talk with. He gave us tips for the next day, so we went to the market, you have to see it! We enjoyed Valencia and learned a lot from Valentín. Die Foodtour war insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis dank des sympathischen Guides. Allerdings war ich etwas enttäuscht von der begrenzten Anzahl an Restaurants, die wir besucht haben. Es gab definitiv Raum für mehr kulinarische Vielfalt. Die Tour war etwas auf Alkohol ausgelegt, obwohl zwei von vier von uns nichts trinken. Es gab leider kaum Flexibilität - zumindest hat der Guide weder vor der Tour noch währenddessen unsere Wünsche abgefragt.Toller Guide aber zu wenig Stationen

let's get straight to it: Valentine had his work cut out from the start- torrential rain in January when some of his first choices for the tour were closed. he, however, rose to the occasion with great choices and interesting facts which turned what could have been a damp squib of an event into a fun and informative tour.a wet success

Our guide Maria was great and gave us a good introduction to a lot of features in the old town as well as being ready and able to answer questions on a number of topics about the city. The various food stops were all busy (proving just how good they were) but spaces had been pre-booked for us.
