I spent two days in the Atlas Mountains and surrounding regions with Brahim. What could have been a standard sightseeing tour became an extraordinary journey, thanks to Brahim’s professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of his homeland. Our trip began in Imlil, a picturesque village often considered the gateway to the Atlas Mountains. Brahim organized the perfect balance of adventure and hospitality. After I hiked a beautiful mountain trail with his best friend Mohamed; Brahim welcomed me into his family home where he and his wife Aïcha prepared a traditional Berber lunch. The following day we crossed the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest major road in the Atlas Mountains at roughly 2,200 meters. In Ouarzazate, we explored Atlas Studios, famously known as the “Hollywood of North Africa,” followed by the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou. On the way back, nature treated us to a surprise: a sudden haboob, a swirling desert sandstorm that turned the journey into yet another unforgettable memory. Brahim stands out not just for his organizational skills and knowledge, but also for the personal care he brings to his work. We had a last minute change of guide to Kamal, but his tour was excellent. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and spoke flawless English. He took us through the souks and down the side alleyways that we otherwise would've ended up hopelessly lost in. Hassan was a great tour guide for our family with three children 4, 6 and 8. We specifically booked him because he had lots of experience, and were able to list what it was that we wanted to do (or not do, hoping to avoid feel pressured to buy). Hassan has family connections in the Medina and knew a lot of people which meant that we could enter certain mosques, tunnels, community kitchens and local-spots which we would never had found on our own. We felt safe navigating the warren of streets in the souks that we've got lost in before and would recommend his tours to other families and those wanting to see a different side to every day life in Marrakech. It was also super helpful to us that he was able to organise for pick up and drop off to our hotel, and delivery of a rug that we'd bought.Family- friendly Medina tour

Marrakech a 40 grados en Agosto y con una niña de 5 años, no es destino más sencillo...calor gente por todas partes, tú intentando a llegar con google maps a los lugares, y una niña diciwndo que no quiere caminar, se puede hacer cuesta arriba. Por lo que un tour guiado para nuestra primera noche en la ciudad era lo que niestra familia necesitaba. Nos decidimos a hacer el tour con Lhoussiane con algunos miedos, ya que casi no tenía votaciones en esta plataforma, pero acabamos pasando una tarde/noche única. Nos presentó a su guía Mohammed quien habla perfectamente castellano y nos hizo la parte cultural y explicativa de tour, y Lhousiane nos hizo la parte del tour gourmet y nos llevó a probar cosas que jamás hubiéramos hecho por nuestra cuenta. I am so pleased we found Ibrahim for our trip to Morocco, I can not speak highly enough of him and the team he has. I was in Marrakesh with my two teenage kids, and finding things they both want to do is always hard! I decided to hire Ibrahim for 2 full days, and it was the best decision I could have made. At such a hot time, it was great to be picked up in a very new air-conditioned car, the comfort makes it so much more enjoyable. We hiked in the Atlas Mountains, had lunch at Ibrahim's house in his lovely village. You literally can't get a more authentic experience than that - we felt very comfortable and privileged to be there. And of course the food was amazing. We also went quad biking, had a massive tour of the medina and the city, ate at amazing local food places - all in all a great experience. I see these tours where you are part of a very large group, but I can only urge you to pay a little more and take a private tour with Ibrahim, everything is tailored to your needs, your time frame and there's no waiting around for anything. I couldn't recommend it highly enough! Thanks for making our holiday Ibrahim ❤️ Complely made our holiday!

The tour with Lhussaine was fantastic. He showed me the authentic Marrakesh, away from the usual tourist routes. We did the fabulous food tasting tour with Omar and had a really great time! We are a family with two teens, 17 and 12. I made the mistake of booking a tour at 3 pm and Omar contacted us beforehand to politely ask if we would like to delay the start. We were very grateful for his common sense! Omar is a knowledgeable and ethical tour guide. He took us to some lovely places we would never have found and gave us a great insight into Moroccan culture. The food was lovely and we were very full by the end. Our boys are foodies so that part of the tour was always going to be appreciated, however they also enjoyed all the other information. The Herbalism shop was a big hit with all of us. The presentation was educational and no pressure at all to buy anything. We did because the products are lovely! Hassan and his able assistant showed us a great time round Marrakech visiting the non-tourist side of the souks and old Marrakesh. He adapted the schedule to suit our needs and coped with 10 of us no problem. Essential trip, even if you’ve been to the main tourist parts of Marrakech before. C'est Adil qui nous a accueillis sur la place Jamaa El Fna, nous avons fait une belle visite du centre de Marrakech. Il a été très prévenant et nous a fait bénéficié de sa large connaissance de l'histoire de la ville, ce qui a donné un intérêt tout particulier à cette visite guidée. Il nous a indiqué un très bon café lorsque nous avons voulu faire une pause, nous y avons dégusté un délicieux thé à la menthe et des pâtisseries. We did the street food tour with Lhoussaine. Our tour was adjusted instead of private it was in a group. We were informed about this in time. It was a great guide who really let us enjoy the tasty things in Marrakesh. Super friendly and nothing was too much. Even more information about other things you wanted to know. Our family (2 adults and 2 older teenagers) had a fantastic day out with Omar exploring the Ourika Valley. Omar was lovely company and a very safe driver, negotiating the winding and sometimes tricky mountain roads. Our guide walking up to the waterfall, through the brightly coloured cafes along the river, was also great. We got a feel for what Berber life was like, visiting the local market and one of the village homes for mint tea and a beautiful view. Highly recommended.Fantastic day in the Atlas Mountains

Hassan was super !!!! We originally had booked with a different tour guide but at the last minute were switched over to Elhoussaine. We didn’t think too much of it, but when we chatted briefly I had requested for recommendations on where to purchase certain items from the souks. What we did not expect is for the majority of the tour to be through the souks. Other than Koutoubia Minaret, we didn’t see any of the sights (Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou, etc.). The rest of the tour was focused on the “back routes” of the souks. While appreciative of his taking us to a couple of shops to buy the items mentioned, that is not the tour we signed up for. Not what we expected

We had booked the tour "Djemaa El Fna Square Market Tour & Tastings" for the first evening on the day of arrival. It was simply fantastic with Lhoussaine and Kamal, who guided us through the many narrow alleyways around Djemaa El Fna with charm, wit and friendliness. 5 carefully selected restaurants and food stalls gave us a perfect insight into the culinary diversity of Moroccan cuisine. We had the best day with Elhoussaine! He showed us so many beautiful places and gave us in-depth context as to their history and place within Moroccan culture. Having him take us through the Bahia palace was a huge highlight. Omar was an interesting and informative guide, who showed us parts of the Medina that we wouldn't have found, and gave us the confidence to return and explore by ourselves. However, he rushed us through the souks and seemed frustrated when we stopped to take in the sights and atmosphere. We were 20 minutes late meeting him due to our bus being late, but I had forewarned him that this may happen. His food choices were not the best for us sadly. Firstly we had a delicious savoury msemmen and herbal tea cooked by a wonderful lady, but the main five tastes at the next venue were greasy, cold and totally unappetising. We were then rushed on to share a mere six tiny sweet treats between four of us. We declined the soup offer after that☹️ The herbalist was good fun and entertaining, so all was not lost!memorable experience

Sadly our guide who I had chosen based on reviews, didn't show. We had an enthusiastic guy but apart from a stop at a bakery which felt interesting and special, there was not much en route that you couldn't have seen from a taxi. To have much more information about the city, its people etc. would have made this tour really great as well as stopping to see things you would not see ordinarily. Could be better

We met Omar as arranged and he was very helpful he showed us some places we would never have known about and we tried some interesting food. I would recommend this tour you get taken through parts of the Souk that we would'nt have seen. Omar was an excellent guide.Excellent Food Tasting Tour

Atlas mountains/ Berber diner show in the desert. 🐪🌅 WithLocals ‘Your way! Day trip from Marrakesh- Amazing. Message Omar our long list of wishes.. Ibrahim our excellent driver, guide pick up from our hotel and looked after us till late! Great hike to Imil village & waterfall with our guide Mustafa. Toukal National park. We had requested lunch at Kasbah Tamadot -Richard Branson. In the afternoon Ibrahim drove us through the desert to Al Camar Camp, for a relaxing time at the Pool followed by diner & show! Highly recommend- felt safe, great guides. Your way! Day trip from Marrakesh

We had an absolutely amazing time on this local food tour in Marrakesh! From the very beginning, Elhoussaine was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about sharing the city's rich culinary culture. He took us through hidden alleyways and vibrant markets we would have never found on our own, introducing us to delicious street food, traditional Moroccan dishes, and even some sweet treats to finish it off. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the personal touch— Elhoussaine went above and beyond by helping us book another tour to the beautiful Ourika Valley. It wasn’t part of the original plan, but he made the process so easy and seamless, and that day trip turned out to be just as memorable.Amazing experience

Our experience with Omar was just perfect for what we were looking for at that point of our trip. He is very relaxed and chill and from the first 5 minutes he makes you feel like you know him for a long time. Speaks perfect English and it is clear that he knows Marrakech like the back of his hand. This wasn’t just a fixed tour that he talked and we followed. He listened to what we wanted and was very flexible with the schedule and tour, because it was our first day at the city and we just wanted to get a general feeling of it. Also, he was very endearing and playful with our to young kids, which made the whole experience very relaxing and easy. Our only regret was that we did not book him for an extra tour regarding food tasting, but we will do that the next time we visit his beautiful city. We definitely recommend Omar for any kind of guided tour around Marrakech. Relaxed, knowledgable and fun!
