Our guide was very friendly and willing to adjust to our interests. I was expecting him to take us to more "Hidden Treasures" rather than the regular visitor sites. Also, he gave us information when we asked for it but didn't initially give us the kind of detailed history and stories that I was expecting. I have used WithLocals guides in several countries before so I was expecting more, especially when paying for a private tour. That said, he was punctual and friendly, and we had a lovely morning with him. Friendly and flexible

We met up in the centre of Reykjavík and walked for about 3hrs around the city. Lalli gave us a comprehensive history for Iceland. He was interesting and made the morning very enjoyable. With locals is a great app. In this case we gave a low review because we booked “Askari with friends”. We lost the local feel and would advise to only book with the person you read about and not be subject to who Askari may choose for you. Our guide was kind and nice but we learned very little and not too much excitement about the local feel of Retjavik. Book with a local, not their friends

We were undecided on what to do in Reykjavik on a recent cruise. We had been here before but were traveling with family, one person who walked slowly with a cane. We decided to take a walking tour at the last minute with Lalli. I let him know we had a slow walker with us and he led us on a wonderful tour of the city. He was extremely understanding about making a stop to rest for my brother; was very imformative including a good dose of humor; and truly loved sharing his city with us. We enjoyed a special fish and chips lunch together and he was the perfect guide for our morning in Reykjavik. I'd highly recommend Lalli to anyone wishing to learn about the history and culture of this wonderful city.Best Last Minute Decision

We truly enjoyed Elisbete as a person and as a guide. The info she provided enriched our experience and the care she took with our hikes, pictures and gear was exceptional. From the instant we met Said we knew that not only would we have an amazing day, but that we had made a friend for life. He was easy and funny, and laughed at all my hy husbands jokes. We were five women, 4 who had never been to Iceland. Lalli was just awesome. We enjoyed every story and history lesson he told us. He took us to some really beautiful and interesting places. We especially loved the sculpture garden. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Iceland and his story telling kept us captivated. We loved how he would throw in some humor to go along with the stories. I rate Lalli a 10 out of 10. I recommend Lalli highly. Lalli was amazing. We loved everything!

This driver really warms me up! From the moment he got in the car, he greeted us with particular enthusiasm, offered to chat and greet us, and intimately asked me if the temperature inside was right. The driving was particularly steady, it made people feel safe, and I was reminded of the beauty along the way, as kind and natural as an old friend. The room was clean and tidy, there was no smell, even the details were well taken care of. Being particularly familiar with the route not only didn't take a detour, it saved me a lot of time. To meet such a thoughtful and professional driver is a particularly enjoyable travel experience, must give five stars praise!Good driver for Said

The wife & I had the best time with the likely happiest guide in Iceland! Iceland may be gray, rainy and cold but SAID was warm, knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining! We had the best day (we were here for 4) with SAID - he selected the route, sights, timing & dining and we just relaxed and had fun. We didn't stop talking, smiling & laughing the full day. If you want to see/learn about sights & feel warmly treated - please call Said. Such a personable man, we even met his family who were lovely! He picked us up at the hotel for our on time transfer to the airport for our flight home. Ober offers all transport, private and group touring and will make your travel to Iceland hassle free! We met Nataliia in front of the Hallgrímskirkja church. She was nice and enthusiastic and told us (in English) a lot about culture, history, buildings, food, etcetera. After a citywalk with a lot of information and about 8 different tastings (which are chosen in consulation), we said goodbye. It was an awesome experience and I can surely recommend this activitity. We were looking for a food tour with unique local delicacies and we found it! We tasted delicious cod stew and soup with lamb. And Natalia also challenged us by offering to eat the local treat Hákarl, fermented shark. Quite an experience :) Together with the other tasting we had more than a full diner. Next to this we had a lovely strawl through town and Natalia told us all about local culture and the history of Iceland. Also she gave us great tips for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend Said and the Ober company. Said went over and above our expectations. He was friendly, fun, knowledgeable, helpful, and trustworthy. Our first encounter was at the port, and we rode in his taxi to our Air B&B in Reykjavik. He played a guessing game; he was so surprised my friend guessed correctly. Because of the correct guess, he gave us a discount card to use for a future taxi booking. When we arrived at our destination, he was not able to pull up to the entrance; he parked and carried all our luggage into the building for us with a smile. We were impressed, appreciative, and happy. When we inquired if we could have him as our taxi driver to take us to the airport in three days, he said yes. Said made it so easy, gave us his card and at least four different contact options. We could call or text by our phone or call and text by What’s App. Said answered immediately when we called him to schedule the time of our pickup and arrived promptly. Said greeted us with a smile and again carried our luggage to the car. He pointed out the points of interest and answered our questions about the sights and Iceland in general. I absolutely plan on booking my taxi and sightseeing trips with Said on my future Iceland trips!!Outstanding, friendly, courteous and fun Ober Taxi Service!!

The place is amazing. So quiet and serene and beautiful that never wanted to go back home. The service of hotel staff was gracious and generous. All happily ready to help out. Was also safe to venture out at 3:00 am chasing northern lights which refused to show. That’s the only regret. Else it’s heaven on earth.Wonderful

Nataliia was not feeling well, and was kind enough to send a friend rather than expose us to her ailment. Our guide was Maria. She is delightful!! She met us at our hotel, which we greatly appreciate. She rearranged the path of the tour to start at our location! Her English is exquisite so we were able to understand all of the interesting historical stories, which she told very well. She introduced us to Iceland’s history with enthusiasm and humor. We felt well informed, and also felt that we truly got an experience with a “local” who made us appreciate the Icelandic people very much more. There’s no words to compare the stunning sceneries we’ve seen but we would never have this amazing and more private experience if we didn’t have Sultan as our guide. He’s simply the best! His priority is us (his clients) and he’s very thoughtful and always thinks ways so we can have the best time ever.. and we did! . We did the Golden Circle and the South Coast Tour and everything was just so convenient! He picks us up and drops us off from and to our accommodation every day. He knows when’s the best time to go to places when there’s not much people or tour buses around so we can have better photos. He even made an extra effort and took us to a place that is not part of the usual South Coast Tour and boy, the view there was breathtaking!! He even gave us Icelandic snacks and drinks to try… and I mean, which tour does that?? I can’t recommend Sultan enough.
