To begin, Angel is such a sweet person. They carry themselves with so much genuitiy that you feel as if you've known them for your entire life even though you just met. I have not always been a fan of informative food tours (sometimes I just want to eat) but Angel made it so interactive and fascinating, every story she told was one you couldn't find in history books, it was lived experience. The food itself was amazing, it was just the right balance of sweet and salty and the right amount of food. I do recommend eating a little before you come as the portions are not big (but it was exactly what I needed and was expecting from street food). If shes available and you have the choice, pick Angel. They will make your trip so much better.Tasty (and Informative) Tour!

It was a relaxed evening with Isabella as we walked through the flower and night markets and grabbed dinner (some tasty noodle soup). I had visited the Temple Street night market already, so that gave us more time to explore Mong Kok - and for me to leverage Isabella's local knowledge to bargain with the shopkeepers as I stocked up on gifts for families/friends :D The 2.5 hours just whizzed by, so dont hesitate to book this tour.

I had 24 hours in Hong Kong and I'm glad I had Sum and Casi to show me parts of the city in the short time I had. I would not have discovered the areas and foods without them. Overall I had a great time soaking in the sights. Sum gave me some tips of places to check out the next morning before my flight - the dim sum place he suggested was life changing. Pros: - Guide: very friendly tour guide - Duration: 3 hours getting to know surrounding temple market area - everything became a bit of a blur at one point since we walked around so much - Included other stops: takes you places you would’ve never seen/noticed (not food related) which was unexpected but cool Cons: - Price: really expensive per person for the type of food you get to try (cheap eats / street food snacks) we wanted to know more about how things are cooked or its origins / history / its influence on HK culture. There was no food commentary. - Speed and lacking depth: tour was long but somehow felt rushed, Matteo speed walked around quickly pointing things out without much context / history or background. The food we tried was ok but there was no context or explanation to it In comparison to other food tours we’ve done, we felt like we didn’t learn much about Hong Kong’s food history / history or anything about the market/s. This felt like we had met an old friend who walked us around the neighborhood pointing out streets and shops while buying us snacks. He’s a really friendly guide though, but if you’re on a budget and really want to learn more about HKs food and its history, you might want to consider doing a larger tour group.Friendly guide but tour missed the mark

We found the tour very disappointing - we’ve done similar tours in other cities, and this one was by far the worst. Some of the food was delicious, but: - Others were very bad, without any recognition of this (we had sticks of Yak, which were basically fat; when I mentioned this, Matteo suggested I could do with some extra fat in me) - An hour in we’d had five courses; I asked what we were trying next and he recounted the five courses we’d already had. I then asked what we were doing for the remaining 1.5 hours of the tour and he couldn’t really answer - Some of the places we tried to go to were closed; which gave off the impression Matteo was unprepared - He didn’t provide much insight into the city or the origins of the food; when we asked questions he didn’t have an answer - He mentioned his budget a few times; we’d said in advance that we were happy to pay extra to the food stalls to try more, which he then didn’t want to let us do Overall it was a very poor experience, and we cut the tour short.Very Disappointing

We thoroughly enjoyed our “taste of Hong Kong” street food tour with Matteo. Communication was great from the started and he was easy to find at the agreed meeting place. He listened to our preferences and encouraged us to try some more challenging dishes (e.g. pigs ears!) since we told him we were adventurous eaters! The tour was not rushed and we felt that we got a really good feel for the nighttime culture in Kowloon. All the food was delicious, although we saw and learnt about so much more than just the food. Matteo was very knowledgeable about life in Hong Kong. He was very entertaining and showed us places we would never have found by ourselves! I wouldn’t hesitate to book another tour with Matteo!Great food and evening with Matteo!

Cosmo was an excellent tour guide, he was very informative of local life and surroundings in Hong Kong. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of walking the streets of Kowloon and trying local food tastings. Personal favourites were the coconut milk and baked cheesecake! Cosmo is very kind and patient, we never felt rushed while looking through the different markets. Took the personal guided tour with Matteo. He was great. Asked us what our preferences were, then proceeded to take us to a whole bunch of places that suited our interests and tastes. Tour included numerous stops at eateries and shops that we would have never found or even if we did find, would not have been brave enough to venture into on our own. Matteo explained the history behind many of the sights and shared his personal experiences with living in Hong Kong. Memorable tour, would definitely recommend.Hidden gems of Hong Kong

We did the night market tour with Cosmo. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and his English was very good. He answered all my questions and even told us about his life and how he grew up in Hong Kong and where he’s traveled. We walked around the flower market, Ladies market and took the tram to the Temple Street night market. We sampled 4 street food items and 1 drink. We didn’t leave overly full which was ideal and we saw some areas we never knew existed. Cosmo even made sure our Uber picked us up before leaving us. Would definitely book again with Cosmo and recommend him for tours around Hong Kong Great tour with Cosmo

Ronnie was outstanding, picked me up from my hotel, showed me around the tourist spots and gave a good deal of history and tips from both a traditional viewpoint and also a younger generation viewpoint. We then ventured to a locals food market off the beaten track. Well worth it was a true locals experience with plenty of food and good humour. Excellent locals experience

Matteo seemed knowledgeable about the area we walked through and greeted people as we went. He is friendly and shares many details about his personal life. If you like shopping he will take you to places where you can purchase souvenirs and other knickknacks, but don't feel pressured to buy anything. We had more than 5 tastings, but since I did the tour by myself it was still pretty expensive for that amount. I would have liked more information about the food we ate and possibly a different drink other than beer.Not worth the price

‏I’ve grown up watching Anthony Bourdain TV shows, one thing I’ve always loved about them is having the right tour guides/ fixers. The people that come on his show don’t only speak about food, history, and culture (like your typical tour guide). They go beyond and chat about life, love, and memories of some childhood iconic moments and the architectural memories of certain neighborhoods. It’s like chatting to an old friend. Our tour with Angel (AKA Durian) felt the same. She is fun, soulful and full of life. She also has great taste in food! Note: we call her Durian because she loves the fruit, which is a must to try when you are in Hong Kong or in South East Asia.Life of a Hong Konger

Had a great time food tasting with Matteo. We had a group of six - including our 7 year old granddaughter. Great variety of street foods and really nice converstion along the way. Even got to walk through some traditional shopping areas. Would highly recommend for adults and familes with children. Great night of food tasting!

My family and I had a great tour, Angel is friendly and her knowledge of Hong Kong and the Mongkok area is second to none. Angel was able to guide us through the area, explain where we were and the history of the area and answer any questions we had on the topic of Hong Kong in general. We tried foods at places we'd have never known about before and gave us information on places to try through the rest of our trip. My 8yo daughter especially took a liking to Angel commented on how friendly Angel was and how Angel could be her teacher at school. Loved every minute of this tour, would do it again in a heartbeat.Fantastic experience

I booked the tour „Taste of Hongkong“ with street-market and street food experience and my guide was Wing Wing. I had a really good time and so nice tastings. Even though I had touched the area around Tempel Street before, it gave me a complete new view, so many more details and of course great street foot experience, which I would never had experienced on my own. Strolling through the busy streets with Wing Wing was a real pleasure. She explained the best food, the best spots in the area, and I had a really good time. The task 2 1/2 hour and it felt like it was over in no time, because it was so entertaining and delightful. Apart from that, Wing Wing is a very amiable, knowledgeable and sympathic person, with whom I really liked to spend time. De trip met cosmo viel ons tegen, er was moeilijk contact met hem te krijgen en pas als wij wat vroeger kwam er uitleg. Erg jammer want er had veel meer in gezeten dan slenteren door Kowloon en hier en daar wat uitleg krijgen. Ook zou het beter zijn als je niet wandelend moet eten maar bij een kraampje zit. Onze ervaring in Georgetown en Kuala Lumpur waren veel positiever. Ipv 2,5 uur. waren we na 1:45 al opweg terug naar ons hotelJammer

We took the Kowloon night market (food) tour on the first day of our visit to Hong Kong, which was absolutely the best time to participate this activity (at least for first time visitors). Edward introduced us to the local markets, lifestyle and foods in an easy-going way, and also gave us some "survival tips" for the rest of our stay. The tour also included a variety of interesting facts and history-knowledge which we definitely would not have learned by ourselves.Amazing tour with a great guide

I had four days in Hong Kong and wanted a local to assist me on a night food tasting tour of the Mong Kok neighborhood. Wing Wing was perfect. We met at 6:30 pm on the Sunday evening of the first huge Hong Kong demonstration against the proposed extradition law. Wing Wing came directly from the demonstration and we spent a good portion of the evening discussing local politics and the mood of Hong Kong residents. This is exactly what I want in a local guide. She ensured the evening a wonderful experience with great conversation and insights. The food we sampled was far from secondary and I felt like a local out for the evening with a friend. We ate like locals do, sampling many things, from stinky tofu to sticky buns to sweet potato soup among other things. We walked through the Ladies Market, passed scores of Philippine housekeepers out for their weekly holiday and ogled groups of pet stores, sneaker stores, clothing stores and restaurants. We talked about Hong Kong history, neighborhoods and present day life. She pointed out favorite restaurants, vibrant neon signage and architecture. We had a blast. I'll be sure to look her up when I return.Wing Wing was awesome
