Not your average cooking class!

This is a personalized cooking experience in a beautiful exclusive location, made of 4 courses, an aperitivo and different wine to taste

I’m your chef Irene, I’m 38 and originally from Northern Italy, and I’ve been living in Florence for over 15 years. Food is my passion, and I love sharing food culture, stories, habits, and regional differences in a fun and easy cooking class that will bring you closer to Italian culture.

I want each class to be tailored to the customer: we’ll meet in a professional, beautiful kitchen in Oltrarno (2 locations available), and we’ll build the menu together choosing from many options. There will be four courses, plus a seasonal appetizer and wine pairing, all based on your tastes and curiosity.

Everything is made fresh on the spot, using only first-quality, carefully selected ingredients. Whether it’s handmade pasta, something regional, or a twist on a classic — including vegan, vegetarian, or dairy-free options — my goal is to be inclusive and offer an unforgettable experience to everyone.

For the menu selection, I will send you some dish ideas, but please feel free to make any special requests and I will do my best to accommodate them.

  1. Meeting point

    Meet at approximately Piazza Santo Spirito to start your culinary journey.

  2. Example menu

    This is what our dinner could look like, but it’s not set in stone! Once you book, you can chat directly with your host to make small tweaks to suit your preferences.

  3. Aperitivo

    Cheese / Cold cuts / vegetable selection of your choice from the best Italian and Tuscan selection
  4. Antipasti /Entrées

    - Focaccia seasonal vegetables and/or cheese - Coccoli: fried pizza dough - Flan - Several different bruschette - Small bites to taste
  5. Primi / First Course / PASTA!

    - Gnocchi - Ravioli - Tagliatelle - Fettuccine - Pappardelle al ragù - Cavatelli - Orecchiette - Lasagne in different sauces - Pici If you'd like to place a special focus on pasta, there is the possibility to design a masterclass dedicated to a variety of preparation and cooking techniques. This could include creating modern and scenographic plates or traditional regional specialties, for a deep dive into Italy’s culinary heritage.
  6. Secondi / Main Course

    - Chicken in traditional recipes or modern presentation - Pork and beef - Meatballs of any kind - VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN meatballs and full plates - Eggplant parmigiana
  7. Dessert

    Going from classical such as Panna cotta, tiramisù, cannoli and gelato to cakes and biscuit, affogato, or italian cheese cake
  8. Special Historical Menus

    For those who love history, and are a little nerdy, like me, we can arrange a unique menu through the ages: from Roman antiquity, through the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Each era brings its own distinctive flavors and stories, with a focus on different ingredients and techniques.
  9. Wine

    For this experience, I offer a wine pairing that always includes, in addition to a white and a red, either a sparkling wine (Prosecco or traditional method) or a sweet wine (Vin Santo, Passito, or Moscato). Alternatively, a selection of local craft beers is also available.

I focus on local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients, i like to supporting local producers and traditions for preserving our culinary heritage.

I offer cooking classes (at home or in stunning city and countryside locations — and don’t worry, I will arrange transport when needed!), as well as private dining experiences tailored to your preferences, including gluten-free and vegan options.

My goal is to create unique, personal, and unforgettable experiences — a true taste of Italy, from my kitchen to your heart.
