I ask a lot of questions. And Long had answers for all of them. I was looking for a tour that was interesting and fun, but that also provided the history, culture and stories of Angkor Wat- and wow did Long deliver. While I saw other guides along the way breezing past murals with just a few words, Long paused, and took the time to explain the stories - fact and fiction- behind the main points of interest, and of course take lots of questions. I also found our conversations about daily life in Cambodia very interesting. I hope I’ll come back to Siem Reap, and will 100% contact Long when I do.Patient knowledgeable historian

Pok is an excellent guide. He showed us the most famous temples of Angkor. Appreciate his knowledge of ancient Hindu stories. We grabbed lunch at a local place and we travelled around by tuk-tuk. I admired his photographer skills. I would recommend him!Excellent guide!

We had hired Long for this day as a guide for a visit to Angkor Wat, the Bayon Temple and the Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider temple). Long is a very dedicated guide who knows a lot about the history of these temples. He speaks clear and calm English. Tuktuk driver and unlimited cold water were available. We had a great time with Oun. He is full of information and shared lots of knowledge about the three temples we visited. We were very satisfied as we learned lots. Oun has great English and is fun to be with. The 6 hour day flew by. The tuk tuk driver was great, he drove safely and was ready with cold water and towels after each temple to help us cool down between journeys. We did a sunrise tour with Long, and we were not disappointed. It was the first day of Khmer New Year and we saw all the local dignitaries getting ready to welcome the king to Angkor Wat. What a once in a lifetime experience for us and our two kids aged 10 and 8. Long was very knowledgeable about Cambodian history and told us some amazing stories about Buddhism and Hinduism. Our kids really enjoyed those stories, as did we! A wonderful Khmer New Year tour

The trip with Long to the temples was great! Usually these kind of trips a bit boring, but he managed to make it interesting. He took us to a great spot for sunrise photos and after that explained thoroughly everything about Angkor Wat. His English is great, even our 11 year old understood. Long is very well educated on the history of the Khmer empire and about Hinduism and budism. What was a very pleasant surprise were his skills with the phone camera, he made great photos of us! I would fully recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the history or just wants to have a pleasant conversation!Better than expected

Oun toured Angkor Wat, Baphuon, Ta Prohm and two lesser known temples in Angkor Thom with us. He was thoughtful and tailored the content well for my wife and me, as well as for our two girls. The logistics worked perfectly too. We visited in a tuk tuk that had been specially built and driven by his brother. Overall, a first-class experience and would highly recommend to other travelers. Going without another group meant we could adjust the pace according to everyone’s interest levels which was a big plus. Oun grew up in the area, and his dad worked as a security guard at one of the Angkor Thom temples. Very good English too. Great energy, knowledge and English

Pok is a true local, having been born only hundreds of meters from the Angkor Wat Temple and its complex. Throughout the day and 3 major temples he demonstrated to us his deep knowledge of the temples, their histories, the myths pictured within it and their significance to the Khmer people. Long gave a really good tour of the temples at Angkor. He was able to communicate all of the key information about the Temples and could answer all of my questions. I did not feel rushed at any time and we took plenty of stops to admire the view before continuing. The driver was always ready to pick us up to take us to the next location. Pok was an excellent guide in our tour of the Angkor Wat temples. He is very passionate about history and told us in detail the Khmer Empire's history. He showed us around the main 3 temple complex and highlighted many details we would have missed. He kept repeating us the names and the stories, so by the end we truly learnt them. The tour is well designed, showing the main sights in a reasonable time. At 35+ degrees (as it was on the day we did it) it would be hard to see more. Oun was knowledgsble and spoke good English. He pointed out some good photo opportunities, which I appreciated. Water snd cold towels were provided after each stop, which was very thoughtful. Long is the man! He is VERY knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. He told us the history of the different temples and was patient when we asked questions. Since he is a former school teacher, you can really tell he has a passion for teaching. In the morning, Long met us at our hotel on time and knew the best spot for seeing the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Throughout the tour, he took great pics of us in scenic spots and his tuk tuk driver always had cold water available. He was a pleasure to talk to when traveling between temples and we learned about Cambodia and its more recent history. He gave us many good restaurants to try and even a recommendation for a private driver to Phnom Penh. He gave us new insights into the temples by explaining the history and importance and was very kind and considerate along the way. Long knew all the great spots to take photos and offered to make plenty of them. He also gave great insight into modern day Cambodia and how the locals live by talking about his own experiences. Communication was easy through WhatsApp and he was on time on both days we were going on a trip with him. The tuktuk was also great, they always had cold water waiting for us whenever we left the temples (it was needed, it was very hot). John shared his extensive knowledge with us exploring the major temples of Angkor Wat. He is also a great picture taker, angling our way into the best photo spots and taking lots of pictures for us. After about 5-6 hours of exploring, we were hot and tired. John kindly asked us if we wanted more small temples or to go directly to the last major temple. It was well worth getting a private guide for the Angkor Wat experience. Oun was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed his company. He managed to avoid the worst of the tour groups and we saw so much more of the area than expected. The lunch venue was very busy but so efficient that we were served a delicious meal within 10 minutes. An exhausting day as it was extremely hot with a lot of walking and steep steps. Lux demonstrated excellent knowledge about Cambodia, which is the main reason for the three-star rating. His expertise on the country's history and culture was evident throughout the tour. However, several aspects of the experience were disappointing: 1. Pacing & Guidance style: The tour felt rushed, with Lux constantly hurrying us along. This made it difficult to fully appreciate the sights and take in the atmosphere. Lux often walked ahead of the group, which made it challenging to hear explanations or ask questions. A more inclusive approach would have been preferable. 2. Tour duration: Despite paying for a private tour, Lux cut the experience short by two hours. This was particularly frustrating as there were numerous interesting temples within easy reach that we could have explored. 3. Value for money: Given the premium price paid for a private tour, the overall experience fell short of expectations. While Lux's knowledge was commendable, the tour's execution left much to be desired. For future visitors, I would recommend seeking a guide who balances expertise with better time management and a more attentive approach to their clients' needs.Yay and nay and the same time

We had a great tour of Angkor Wat with Pok on a sunny hot day. So much information, we learned a lot. Pok was able to answer to all our questions. He also took very nice pictures of us. The tuk tuk was comfortable and clean. Thank you Pok!Fantastic
