We had a great city tour with Loredana - she showed us the highlights of Palermo and gave us ideas of how to best spend the rest of our time. She informed is about the city’s history, culture and delicious food. We also appreciated the explanation she gave of the history of the Mafia issues in the city, helping us to understand its history, particularly from the early 1980s to 1992, and the strong anti Mafia spirit in the community since. Loredana is enthusiastic about her city, and she was very welcoming, and a pleasure to spend time with. She also gave is some restaurant recommendations and very kindly offered to help with any other advice needed. The tour was the highlight of our time in Palermo.Great Introduction to Palermo

Luca was a great guide who really took us through the historical sites while providing current political context around each of the streets and neighborhoods we visited. Luca tailored a thoughtful tour for me in the city of Palermo. He was courteous, prompt and very knowledgeable. It was great to have a guide who grew up in this colorful and storied place who lovingly and critically spoke about the past, present and future of each landmark and noteable place that we walked. Valeria, is an excellent knowledgeable & personable guide. I really enjoyed my time spent with her & her encouraging me to speak Italian. However my tour was confirmed to start at 10:30 am & go for 3 hours. Unfortunately my tour ended at 12:30 pm at only two hours. When I got back to my hotel I double checked my confirmation which said 3 hours not 2. I am wondering if there was some miscommunication somewhere & will follow up Withlocals. Walk Palmero

We are a group of ageing siblings who, once a year, travel together to an European city to experience the history, culture and definitely food. We have used WithLocals in Rome, Athens, Istanbul and Naples and so we asked Luca to guide us round Palermo for a day and a half guided tour of the main sites and hidden gens, including great food. Luca was perfect! His knowledge, choice of sites to visit (including food!), his enthusiasm and love of Palermo, plus being an excellent, interesting and funny guide. We could not have wished for a better, happier introduction to Palermo, its history, culture and food - including some amazing icecream brioche rolls! We even had full storms, thunder. lightening and a lot of rain one day, but that did not dimish Luca's interaction and we didn't even notice how wet we got because it was still a fabulous experience. We had a really enjoyable couple of hours wandering the streets of Palermo with Luca. He has a real love for his city and it was brilliant to spend time seeing it through his eyes. 3 of us enjoyed a private walking tour with Fabio early April. He was excellent - we were pleased he started the tour Porta Nuova and then winded our way through the city ending at Massimo Opera House. We stopped to learn more about major sites as well as local points of interest. We spent a couple of weeks all over Sicily and Fabio's suggestion for dinner was among our 3 best meals including a few Michelin restaurants I would highly recommend this tour Andrea

We were a small group of 3 and enjoyed our time with Fabio to the max. He took us on a very interesting tour through the historic city and told us memorable stories. We had a great time and the 3 hours were over much too fast. Fabio is very knowledgeable, speaks English very well and had a good feeling for what spiked our interest. Luca hat uns viel gezeigt und erklärt. Wir waren dadurch an Plätzen, die wir alleine nicht gefunden hätten u die sehr sehenswert waren. Als sportlicher Typ hat er ein ordentliches Tempo vorgelegt, ebenso hat er sehr schnell gesprochen....um möglichst viele Infos an uns weiterzugeben. Es hat Spaß gemacht mit ihm die Stadt zu erkunden. We had a 3-hour walking tour with Salvatore, starting at the Porta Nuova and ending at the Capo market. We very much enjoyed the history and details provided by our guide and were also able to determine what else we wanted to be sure to see before leaving or on a return trip. I soon as we met Salvatore we knew we were with the right guide. His calm demeanor, enthusiasm about the city he lives in, love for his culture, food, and history made our trip exceptional.
