Heerlijke wandel tocht gemaakt met Urgur (en zijn 12 jarige dochter). Begonnen bij Anne Frank museum om een indruk te krigen van de vele streetartists hun manier van communiceren. Duurzaam, effectief en heel inspirerend. Uygur's dochter wist de artisten op de muur tussen al die duizenden afbeeldingen feillos aan te wijzen ! Jmmy C, maar ook Mimi the Cat. Het museum is aan te bevelen, weggestopt in een steegje. Zegt dat wat? Vandaar op ons verzoek naar Kreuzberg, daar waar UYGUR als (voormalig?) bewoner veel van wist. Het " little Istanbul" , waar Engels en Turks de voortaal zijn. Veel geschiedenis en een wijk nog steeds in beweging. Wilt u een ander beeld krijgen van Berlijn, doe deze wijk aan. I was traveling with my elderly husband, who is 90 years old and he has some energy and mobility issues. Uygur took us to several great places to sample Turkish and Lebanese foods. Every dish was very tasty and Uygur went out of his way to make sure that we were tasting foods that we had not tried before. Il tour e' molto interessante perche permette di conoscere la storia recente della citta attraverso i murales. Elisabetta ci ha mostrato non solo la East Side Gallery, ma anche tante altre opere nascoste o perlomeno non facilmente individuabili, anche perche non presenti sulle guide ufficiali. L'arte dei murales e' in continuo cambiamento, alcune opere che vedi oggi, magari non sono piu presenti un mese dopo, o nel frattempo nascono dei nuovi murales nella notte. Per questo motivo consiglio questo tour con Elisabetta, che ha uno sguardo da insider e vi permette di scoprire quello che le guide non dicono. Inoltre e' consigliabile fare il tour all'inizio della vacanza, perche nei giorni successivi, camminando per i quartieri di Berlino, si possono ritrovare altre opere degli stessi artisti riconoscibili nello stile perche spesso vi e' un Leitmotiv che ritorna (oltre al Tag spesso presente). Noi ci siamo divertiti, durante il nostro soggiorno, a trovare altre opere che abbiamo identificato in diversi quartieri di Berlino.Scoprire una Berlino in mutamento

We met Uygur in a part of Berlin where he clearly felt at home. He knew his way around and based on our personal interests gave us some excellent food tips! We really enjoyed exploring with Uygur while learning about street art in Berlin and also getting to know each other better. Every art piece was met with enthusiasm by Uygur and with explanation where possible. We even discovered some new pieces together and Uygur's enthusiasm for this only highlighted why he is a great choice for a tour like this. Our tour lasted over 3 hours and I think that if there would have been time we could have gone around for 3 more! Great tips afterwards about places to go and things to see and do. I had a grafitti and streetart tour with Elisabetta and we covered Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte areas of Berlin with some amazing grafitti and streetart. Elisabetta knows so much about the artists that create this wonderful art and the meaning behind it and it was so interesting to hear the explanations and interpretations of the art pieces which made all the art come alive even more. I have passed many of these places so many times but never had explanations for what all these art pieces meant and represented. Thank you Elisabetta for a wonderful tour. An excellent tour

Voor het eerst in Berlijn. Net uit de trein naar het hotel gesneld om daarna door te gaan naar onze afpraak met Uygur die ons van alles zou gaan laten zien en vertellen over de streetart van Berlijn. We waren iets later door oponthoud met openbaar vervoer en ik had daarom al even telefonisch contact gezocht met Uygur om te melden dat we wat later waren. Geen probleem zei de vriendelijk klinkende stem van Uygur aan de andere kant vd lijn. Ik wacht op jullie op de afgesproken plek. En daar stond hij inderdaad toen we 10 min later aankwamen. Uygur nam ons mee de wijk door en vertelde over de kunst op de muren. Wie de kunst maakte en waaraan we ze konden herkennen als we elders in de stad iets zouden zien. Heel leuk! Ik kijk nu met hele andere ogen naar wat in eerste instantie voor mij gewoon een muur met graffiti en stickers was. Als je goed gaat kijken zie je steeds meer details en gaat zo'n muur leven. Uygur heeft ons ook vooral de niet gangbare dingen laten zien. We zouden dit anders nooit gezien hebben. We hebben er erg van genoten en waren blij dat Uygur ons met zoveel enthousiasme en vriendelijkheid heeft rondgeleid! Echt een aanrader!Our streetart guide Uygur
