Day in Girona with my 9yo nephew and Ivanna could not have been better. We took the train out, spent time together talking about the history, amazing sushi, beautiful views of the city and great ice cream for the ride home! Irina was my local for a day in Girona and she was truly amazing. It felt like I had hired a friend. She was so nice and accommodating. She was professional yet personable. I really wanted to experience Girona the way the locals do and she provided me with that experience. Every church, Gelateria and cafe she took me to was part of the Girona I was looking for. She also gave me tips of Restaurant’s and place to visit along with helping me find my way around the train station. The second tour with Ivanna went to Girona and to Tossa de Mar with a short swim event. Everything was perfectly prepared here too and it was an incredible experience. The view from the castle was amazing. She came up with several alternatives to design the route with us. The hours flew by. Nevertheless, she tooks extra time to show us more. Seb was amazingly communicative before the day of our tour, so that it was clear what the day would be like, and what the timing would be because I had to catch a plane later that day. He picked me up from my hotel and we headed north. The ride was very comfortable and pleasant, and Seb and I chatted about all kinds of things. Once in Girona, Seb provided a nice background and history of the area, and we walked the entire city, from the wall surrounding the city (you walk ON the wall) to the Jewish quarter, to the cathedral, etc. I had never been to Girona and Seb was the perfect guide to introduce me to the city and to spend the day with. I liked what we saw and did - Girona is pretty - but would have liked more time there getting there at 10:15 and then catching the 13:30 train back made the experience feel a bit rushed. There were some architecturally interesting buildings near the station that I would have liked to have seen. Also, we spent less time in the Jewish museum than we probably would have done without the time pressure. I would rather have paid a bit more for more time and a more relaxed experience.Girona Daytrip

Sebastian delivered with facts, highlights, history, architecture, and music in this wonderful visit to Girona. Game of Thrones notwithstanding (we haven't watched one whole episode), there is much merit is visiting this fascinating place. Some of the stairs are steep, but Sebastian easily modified the ascent to the top of the Roman walls for us. Recommended tour, highly recommended guide. By the way, he sings and plays guitar on the opening page musical trailer on the Withlocals app.Spectacular!!

My wife and I booked Ilona for a tour of the beautiful Medieval city of Girona, Spain. We met her at the train station in Barcelona at a pre-determined spot and time and she was right on time. She handled all the rail travel details and we had great conversation on the way to Girona. We walked the wall built by Romans and toured the Jewish Quarter along with a visit to the Museum of Jewish History. We visited the Girona Cathedral and Ilona made sure we had a great restaurant to take a lunch break and experience some delicious local cuisine and wine. Ilona has great knowledge and speaks perfect English. We highly recommend a tour with Ilona! Thanks Ilona, we really enjoyed a fantastic day with you as our tour guide!!!! We did the 10 tastings of Barcelona with Elvira. As a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 kids (10 and 13), we had very different preferences for food. She adjusted quickly and made sure we had a great tour. As it was our first day in Barcelona, and we were very jet-lagged, we were not as hungry as we should have been for such a tour, so she quickly pivoted and included some walking and historic tour of the City. She was very knowledgeable. She was very generous with her time, and made sure everyone had a good time. I highly recommend!Super flexible and great with kids!

Sebastian was punctual and waiting for us with a big smile, that made us feel like old friends from the first moment we met. He guided us through delicious local tapas and patisseries at unique local spots that we would never had found without a Host :) Between spots he told interesting stories and fun facts about the city. The whole tour was a perfect balance between a laid back and well organized local experience. Thanks to his actor skills, he is a great communicator and sociable, which made our time together truly enjoyable! What an amazing experience! I can't even just call it a tour, it was definitely an experience! Alan was amazing and really went above and beyond! We ate so much delicious food, trying things we hadn't yet as well. He picked great places to stop. Drink recommendations to pair with our food was great as well. Now comes the best part...Alan our guide, friend, host, teacher... He was AMAZING! So much knowledge shared in such a wonderful way! To say he went above and beyond is an understatement! He showed us so much. You could tell he loved being there sharing his knowledge of the beautiful city of Barcelona as much as we did! Elvira was patient as we got lost and were running behind and greatly appreciate her flexibility! Alessandro was amazing! Catered the tour to our likes and was a wealth of knowledge on the history of the buildings and Spain itself. We learned so much history and even learned about and got to taste authentic local food and he took us to the oldest hat shop when he heard hats were a thing with us! Sebastian is a kind and open minded person and he makes you feel very welcome from the first moments. He is sufficiently knowledgeable about Barcelona's history, but for our taste the tour was not well structured. It was meant to be a Gaudì tour but in the end it was more like a general explanation of the many things that happened in Barcelona throughout history enriched with some anecdotes from Gaudì's life. Overall it left us with some interesting impressions but we were not satisfied, especially given the high price we paid for this. At this cost we would not recommend it. By means of constructive feedback: a few days later we decided to join a free tour organized by Civitatis and it had quite a few parallels but everything was explained in a more in-depth and structured manner. Regardless of the price (here you donate whatever you feel adequate, ca. €10-20pp) we preferred this tour.Gaudì tour
