My first visit to HK so I decided to book a guide someone local so I could see all the special sites in this fabulos city. The tour was booked as a gift for my birthday. My wife and enjoyed two very different, but both enjoyable Hong Kong trips with Angel. The first was the night markets & street food, that we undertook a few hours after landing from London, so a great way to start exploring this great City. The second to Lantau island, was a complete contrast to the city. Angel was a great guide very knowledgeable, but also great at prioritising what to see and when. Ich war alleine mit Cosmo auf Lantau Island unterwegs. Cosmo erzählte sehr viel über das Leben dort, den vertretenen Religionen und deren Tempel und deren Bedeutung. Dabei war immer sehr viel Zeit für Fotos. Ich muss aber auch dabei sagen, dass wir etwas Glück hatten und keine 30 Min. auf die Seilbahn gewartet haben, was nicht oft vorkommt je nach Tageszeit. Wer sich einen Tag Zeit nehmen möchte und mehr als nur das hektische Grossstadtleben Hongkongs erleben my, sollte unbedingt diese Tour buchen. From the moment we started communicating with Cosmo we knew he was a "Local" and loved what he was doing. Meeting him in Lantau Island we started our journey on the cable car up to the Buddha. An amazing 25 minute ride in comfort up to the top of the mountain - wow Hong Kong looks amazing from there. Then a leisurely walk around the summit and into the beautiful temple and then up the 268 steps to the Buddha. What a great story of dedication and resilience in building this monument. We then boarded a bus and went into a little fishing village which was quaint and "set back in time". Going for a little boat ride around the waterways and then out to the sea looking at the amazing structure of the bridge (that goes underwater) and looking for dolphins. Back on land we stopped for looking around the village and having some lunch. After this heading back to the bus and down the hill, like a local, finishing back at our starting point. A full day of wonder and history. Cosmo is interesting and knows the history of the area. Thanks for a great day! Highly recommend.A fabulous day with Cosmo

My wife and I and 2 friends toured Lantau Island with Edward. Edward is very personable and interesting and we all had a very good time with him. He was very accommodating to my wife’s crustacean allergy. The fishing village was especially interesting. The protests required us to change our travel plans to meet up with Edward but he found us quickly and off we went. The Big Buddha was truly impressive and the fishing village was fascinating. Edward was a great host and guide.Great tour!

Whenever I arrive in a new city I always hire a local guide as soon as I can. Hopefully the guide can help me get my bearings, show me the best food, the best sights, and give me tips and information to make the rest of my trip efficient and enjoyable. Angel is ace. We met on time, explored markets, ate local delicacies, and all the while Angel had advice and information on anything I asked. She is personable and spent the time on the sites and foods I was interested in. I’ve already visited some of the places she recommended. We have been fortunate enough to take equivalent great food tours in a number of different countries across Asia and without question Angel was the best host we have had! Aside from being highly knowledgeable about the neighborhoods and food destinations, some of which she has visited regularly since childhood (!), she is considerate, attentive and clearly enjoys both sharing with and learning from her guests. She effortlessly weaved a massive raft of other information and stops of interest around the delicious food destinations, making this an all-round tremendous experience. My friend and I really enjoyed this Behind The Scenes: Kowloon tour with Ron (Sum Pui) and Kerry. He is very energetic, animated and passionate about sharing his knowledge! He also has an excellent sense of humor. He accommodated my request of a 10am tour instead of the typical afternoon time frame. E we started near the MTR meeting point where he explained and we toured an affordable housing building. There were small eateries on one level and we walked through the very local market at the lowest level. We had a quick breakfast snack of rolled noodles, shu mai and fish balls. Delicious! It was really great to learn about the items and the foods I have seen before but didn’t understand. Like burning paper offerings to ancestors. Fascinating. We ended this part of the tour with excellent milk tea. We then walked many of the market streets of Sham Shui Po. We also visited a temple with an excellent explanation of the gods and the process of wishes. We ended the tour at Ron’s favorite small restaurant which was packed and without a word of English - he was kind enough to order for us before departing! I would highly recommend this tour and this tour guide, Sum Pui. His friend, Kerry, assist with the tour, because her forte was the markets. She was also quick and efficient to translate and look up things on her phone to really deepen our understanding. Thank you so much Ron and Kerry for a lovely day!!Great walking tour!

We had a group of 8, including 3 seniors and a child with a recent knee injury. Requested a less strenuous walking tour, and Ron helped with that. The tour was customized to our interests. We saw and learned a lot, but the extremely hot and humid weather significantly affected us all, and we cut the tour short. If our travels brings us back to Hong Kong, I would not hesitate booking another tour with him.Awesome!

Ronnie was so nice and he showed us all of the local marvels and foods we wanted to see. He is clearly an experienced guide and enjoys sharing culture and history with others. He is great with kids. We were 1 adult and 3 teenagers and he kept us all engaged. I would highly recommend spending time with Ronnie. He also gave us recommendations for the following days in Hong Kong and followed up to check in on us which I thought was wonderful. To begin, Angel is such a sweet person. They carry themselves with so much genuitiy that you feel as if you've known them for your entire life even though you just met. I have not always been a fan of informative food tours (sometimes I just want to eat) but Angel made it so interactive and fascinating, every story she told was one you couldn't find in history books, it was lived experience. The food itself was amazing, it was just the right balance of sweet and salty and the right amount of food. I do recommend eating a little before you come as the portions are not big (but it was exactly what I needed and was expecting from street food). If shes available and you have the choice, pick Angel. They will make your trip so much better.Tasty (and Informative) Tour!

Our guide ‘Ronnie’ was very good but the description of the tour was misleading. Description said beer and wine and 9 different tastings, but most were in one Dim Sum restaurant. We imagined a number of different stops in close proximity with different tastings not just mainly dumplings. Beer was the only option until we requested wine and were taken to a wine bar. Soup stop was very good. Being in Hong Kong we would have expected a Peking Duck pancake too.Anita

This private walking tour was a good introduction to Hong Kong. We saw the sights mentioned in the description along with a lot more. We had a great time. However, we did not have a good experience at one of the recommended restaurants (Luk Yu Tea House) after the tour.Good start in Hong Kong

My husband and I spent an excellent day touring Hong Kong with Sherman. It was our first trip to HK. We asked her to customize our tour to help us understand how people live, eat and get around HK and to take us to places that only a local would know about. We were already booked to see the standard tourist destinations via our Viking cruise excursions so we wanted a counterpoint to that. Sherman designed a day for us that exceeded our expectations! We started with an incredible dim sum lunch at a place we never would have found on our own and might have been too timid to try. It was crazy busy and frenetic and we had a wonderful time trying lots of their specialties. We rode trams, the subways and walked a lot. Visited markets where residents actually shop (not the touristy markets), visited a public housing estate and got a better understanding of how people live in this crowded and expensive city and joined some school kids enjoying after school mango ice treats. It was a fascinating day! Sherman went out of her way to tailor the experience to our interests, including reviewing the details of other excursions that we had already planned thru Viking. She met us at a convenient place, gave us lots background on the city and personal insights insights about living there. She let us borrow her Octopus card to use public transit while we were together and even made recommendations for places we might visit and eat after our tour with her. All in all, it was an incredible experience. If you have a chance to book a tour with Sherman, you will not be disappointed! Great off the beaten path tour

We booked Cosmo for our first day in Hong Kong to show us around and get our bearings and he didn’t disappoint. He met us in our hotel in the morning and took us straight to the bus station so we knew how that worked from the start, tick. On the tour he gave us lots of information about the history of where we were and also what is happening in those places while we are in Hong Kong. Also took us to the metro and showed us how that worked, even helped us with buying the octopus card which set us up for the week. Gave us lots of information about hikes and places to see in Hong Kong on the days after we had been with him. But most importantly we asked him to show us some good places to go out for a drink and he didn’t disappoint. He went above and beyond to show us around and we had a great time with him. Thoroughly recommend a tour with this lovely guy!Book Cosmo!

It was a relaxed evening with Isabella as we walked through the flower and night markets and grabbed dinner (some tasty noodle soup). I had visited the Temple Street night market already, so that gave us more time to explore Mong Kok - and for me to leverage Isabella's local knowledge to bargain with the shopkeepers as I stocked up on gifts for families/friends :D The 2.5 hours just whizzed by, so dont hesitate to book this tour.
