Sara was fantastic, fun and positive! She did everything from start to finish. We only had to show up! She not only has a wonderful tour, she pre-bought our train tickets having them ready for us to go to Naples from Rome, before we even met her at the train station in Rome to go to Naples. We enjoyed that she took us to places that most tourists do not typically see, and taking us to places where locals eat. Sara was able to show us hidden gems along our tour that we would have missed if she was not with us. She would patiently wait as we went into places she suggested, or if we stopped to buy pretty jewelry from street vendors. She knows exactly where she is going and was observant regarding time. When we would go to Foodie places, we did not stand in long lines. She went to the front person and they immediately had our food ready. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. She suggested for us to have WhatsApp on our phone, which was very helpful in conversing with her prior to the tour and for an easy meeting point. First time in Rome and first time using With Locals. This is a private tour in every sense and we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Max! He tailored everything to our preferences (including breakfast place recommendations and switching meeting place to our Trastevere neighbourhood). With our two boys (15 & 11) and in an actual heatwave, Max made sure we saw all the key sights, found us shade and water (and gelato) along the way and held their attention the whole time. His knowledge of history, culture, religion, art and literature was so impressive and he peppered it all with hidden gems and local history stories off the beaten track. He had a wonderful time walking with and learning from Max. He is incredibly engaging, crazy smart, but has the agility to communicate with individuals of all ages and interests. Emanuele is a wonderful guide. We were in Rome for five nights, and we spent time with him for three of them. He showed us marvelous gems that were not crawling with tourists, and is super knowledgeable about Roman history and art. He planned special surprises for our 15 year old son -- including the Capuchin Crypt, a super-creepy crypt decorated with thousands of bones that is definitely worth a visit. He showed us a Michelangelo sculpture of Moses that is an absolute masterpiece in the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, and countless other surprises. He took great care of my 80 year old mother-in-law and made sure that she was not getting too tired on the walks. For part of the tour, we drove around Rome in his car, and we would park and get out and walk a bit, which was a great way to really experience more of the city. Highly recommended.Wonderful guide

I would highly recommend Eleonora if you want to do a private tour of the Vatican/Sistine Chapel. This was the first time at the Vatican for our 18 and 20 year old granddaughters and Eleonora struck the perfect balance of providing interesting info about the most important features of the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel without getting bogged down on any one subject. Even though my wife and I have been to the Vatican several times, Eleonora made it interesting for us as well. Simone was a hoot! It was a very casual and fun tour, with Simone very easy to speak with and making for a very fun tour. He personalised our tour on the fly and provided some great tips on where we could explore once our tour had finished. Our daughter slept in the pram for majority of the tour, but that didn't hold us back from touring the city. There was plenty of history, culture and insight into the Roman way of life, told through his eyes. We covered lots of ground (which we were very much open to). This was our first time using the With Locals platform. We loved that we got to pick our guide and that we were put in contact with him after booking, allowing for easy communication. Our group was a mix of people who had been to Rome before and some who hadn’t, including two small children ages 5 and 3. Max was able to put together a tour that kept everyone entertained. My family and I did our first walking tour of Rome with Max. Max wss super communicative from the start, chill and very easy to talk to . He’s funny, kind and very accommodating . We had 2 kids who weren’t always the best behaved through the 3 hour tour ( some tantrums and fights along the way) but he was super patient and went with the flow. He took us to this amazing gelato place too :) Max had lots of stories to tell which made all the history so fascinating - his depth of knowledge and all those details that he knows are clearly impressive . Auf unserer Rom Städtetour Anfang Mai 2025, haben wir Romain für eine 5 Stunden Full Coverage Rome City Tour gebucht. Zuerst einmal möchten wir uns noch einmal bei Romain für seine unglaubliche Flexibilität und seinen Kundenservice bedanken, da wir aufgrund von Anreiseproblemen erst mit 8 Stunden Verspätung in Rom eingetroffen sind und den vereinbarten Termin mit Romain nicht einhalten konnten. Internet sei Dank, klappte die direkte Kommunikation und Romain hat uns angeboten die Tour zu splitten, so das wir am Anreisetag 2 Stunden und am Folgetag 3 Stunden das Vergnügen hatten uns von Romain fachkundig, mit vielen Anekdoten und Hintergrundinformationen versehen, durch diese erstaunliche Stadt führen zu lassen. Oft liefen wir abseits der überlaufenen Touristenattraktionen, entdeckten versteckte Hinterhöfe, gingen kleine, schmale Gassen entlang, um plötzlich wieder auf einer belebten Piazza heraus zu kommen um dann in der nächsten Gasse weitere Jahrhundert alte Säulen und von außen völlig unscheinbare Gebäude, kaum als Kirche zu identifizieren, zu entdecken, die dem Besucher viele Malereien und andere Schätze bereit hält. Wir können nur jedem, der eine Städtetour abseits der normalen Wege sucht ( Closseum, Vatikan etc. sind groß genug, die findet man auch allein ;) ) eine ausgedehnte Tour mit Romain absolut empfehlen und würden diese auch jederzeit wieder buchen, da es noch viel mehr zu sehen gibt. 11 von 10 Sternen.Full Coverage mit Romain. Paola was awesome. She took me around on her vespa for part of my tour so I got to see a lot more than just walking around. She was fun and insightful and was the perfect beginning to my Rome vacation.

It was a delight for us to spend time with Eleonora on our food tour. We had some amazing food and tasted some items never experienced that were delicious And of course to top off the night some amazing gelato😊 Eleonora is fun, informative annd a pleasure to be with. We had a terrific time walking around and taking in the sights and tastings of Rome!! Delicious
