Betty was a perfect companion for a day of touring around Potsdam. She was knowledgeable of local history and made sure to fill every minute with engaging conversation. I appreciated her flexibility when I wanted to explore two locations that caught my attention along the way, two short side quests. She even handled the train tickets, giving me a chance to observe how to use the rail system. We easily coordinated our meeting spot and itinerary via the app's chat feature. Betty's offer to recommend other notable places to visit after our tour was incredibly helpful. Spent a wonderful day with Seth visiting the house where the Wannsee Conference was held, then we went to see the KGB Prison at Leistikowstraße, and finally walked through Potsdam, visiting the Dutch Quarter, having lunch and hearing great stories about WW2 and the Cold War. Seth helped us plan our day and set our itinerary around what we suggested and then made his own recommendations so the logistics of our travels made sense. He is well versed and personable and an an overall great guy. My 15 year old son said our day with Seth was the highlight of our trip to Berlin. Reach out to Seth and schedule a day with him. Really enjoyed our tour with Tiago. He was lovely and very knowledgeable. We did however, feel that it ended rather abruptly and we weren't informed that we were walking back to the station. 40 plus minutes of travelling to and from Potsdam cut into the 4 hours allocated plus we finished with half an hour to spare. It would perhaps be better to meet at Potsdam thus allowing more time for the tour. It would also have been nice to have had the opportunity to stop for refreshments or even been told that the tour was close to finishing so that we could have perhaps decided to stay in Potsdam to have lunch or a drink.Informative tour

I have been to Berlin a few times before but now I had the time to explore the city a little more. I booked the Gems of Potsdam Tour with Miha and - due to a public transportation strike - we quickly decided to do a Gems of Berlin Mitte Tour :-) Miha is very open and it has been so easy to start a conversation with him. You can tell from the first minute that he loves Berlin and loves what he is doing. He tailored the 'improvised' tour exactly to my taste. He is talkative and knows so much about history, (street) art and those little stories that only locals know. I really enjoyed the time exploring the city with him a lot. Betty was just incredible! I would say our trip to Potsdam was easily the most fun & memorable of our eight days in Berlin because of her. She has a great sense of humor, is very lively, enthusiastic, flexible, and very, very knowledgeable. I found her to be a natural story-teller, bringing to life such characters as Frederick the Great and his father and the uniting of Germany so as to help make sense of everything we were seeing around us. She could point things out about the art, architecture, sculpture, and layout of the city around us, how it came to be, the thinking behind it, how it was impacted by the war. This was only topped, perhaps, by her insightful, loving, and sometimes wry perspectives on Berlin itself as we traveled by train to and from Potsdam; I learned more from Betty's thoughts and observations about Berlin and what has made it what it is today in a few short hours than I did in all the rest of our time there. Warm and easy to be with, always thoughtful, Betty is a guide I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone who wants to learn anything about Berlin!Amazing tour guide

Heerlijke wandel tocht gemaakt met Urgur (en zijn 12 jarige dochter). Begonnen bij Anne Frank museum om een indruk te krigen van de vele streetartists hun manier van communiceren. Duurzaam, effectief en heel inspirerend. Uygur's dochter wist de artisten op de muur tussen al die duizenden afbeeldingen feillos aan te wijzen ! Jmmy C, maar ook Mimi the Cat. Het museum is aan te bevelen, weggestopt in een steegje. Zegt dat wat? Vandaar op ons verzoek naar Kreuzberg, daar waar UYGUR als (voormalig?) bewoner veel van wist. Het " little Istanbul" , waar Engels en Turks de voortaal zijn. Veel geschiedenis en een wijk nog steeds in beweging. Wilt u een ander beeld krijgen van Berlijn, doe deze wijk aan. Seth was a charming and knowledgable guide. He took us round Berlin at a leisurely pace but we saw so much of the city. He wore his scholarship lightly but talked with great sensitivity and insight about memory and trauma. We visited a beautiful library, the Catholic cathedral, the opera house and a stunning 1920s shopping gallery ( with incredible chocolate shop) as well as the important historic and political sights we had specified. At the Holocaust memorial he was especially careful and respectful. A great trip and a lovely guy! Enjoyable and informative

Michele toured us on the hottest June day in Berlin… without wilting! She brought history to life, put the aftermath of WWII into a humanistic perspective, and mixed history with contemporary Berlin. My 14 yo grandson and I loved our tour with Seth. He told so many pertinent stories to our discussions on what happened in Berlin in WWII and showed us many photos of the original buildings that we discussed that were no longer there. We definitely got what we paid for and more - Seth showed us the Jewish Quarter, many beautiful memorials, talked about the damage that occurred as the Soviet’s arrived, told stories about many events during the war, and captivated us for the entire morning. The tour was well paced (including a stop at Starbucks for some sustenance for my grandson) and the rain didn’t stop him or us for a minute - in fact we hardly noticed it was raining (not!). On a special note, I asked Seth about Jazz clubs as this is a special interest of ours and he went above and beyond, doing research and giving us a list before arrival. I’ll call Seth again the next time we are in Berlin!! So many stories

We found the culinary tour very surprising. The food was diverse and more than plentiful, and it could be adjusted at any time to suit personal preferences.
