I’ve just returned from a wonderful trip to South Africa. I was traveling on business, but managed to squeeze one extra day in for exploring Cape Town. One day is absolutely not enough, but with Elizabeth’s knowledge of the city and sights - and her expert planning - I managed to see sooo much! If you’re looking for a guide that knows all the sights in and around Cape Town like the back of her hand, can explain both history as well as the current state of affairs, can plan the most efficient use of your time, and is just incredibly kind and pleasant - then she is your gal! Christoper was such a joy to spend the day with! He picked us up at our hotel promptly and the fun began the minute we were safely in his car. Sebastian was the best guide. Picked us up on time. Showed us what I had asked to see, only had to cut the botanical gardens but knew we wouldn’t have time for everything on the list. Best part was he got us to Table Top mountain, bay point lighthouse , took great pictures of us at Cape of good Hope and at Chapman Park. Had some great story to tell us. Sebastian is FABULOUS! We had an incredible day touring the Cape with him. He is a Cape Town native and is extremely knowledgable about the entire area and its history. We learned so much and had a lot of fun! He was super accommodating all of our wishes. We were three generations traveling together. When my 82 y/o mom passed on certain walks and hikes, Sebastian showed her other sites and kept her company. He was also our 'go-to' photographer! He even took extra shots of us from afar and sent them to us after. He provided cold water, Biltong (South African jerky), and mints. Following our Cape tour, he added a great city tour pointing out notable spots of interest. We feel so fortunate to have found Sebastian, he made our trip extra special and we now can say we have a dear friend in Cape Town! We highly recommend Sebastian! BEST Cape Day!

WOW….from the point of booking, Sebastian’s communication and arrangements were perfect in every way. My wife and I have just returned from a two week tour around SA and were finishing with a few days in Cape Town. As all visitors to Cape Town will know, there are lots of things to see, and knowing what to do can be the biggest challenge. We decided to use the services of Get Locals and after researching the various guides available, we selected Sebastian, based on his previous reviews. Well, call it luck or good judgement, but we hit GOLD when making our decision. Sebastian met us at our hotel on the Waterfront and after a brief discussion we embarked on one of the most interesting and memorable days we have ever had on a holiday. We will be returning in the next two years with our our “kids” to enjoy the wonders of South Africa with us, and the first thing we will do is to book Sebastian for a couple more days. Oh what a day!! We spent almost 12 hours with Chritopher and he did a great job. We asked him in advance to adjust the tour a little, couse we wantet to go to Hout Bay to "Fish on the Rocks" an he also came with some ideas to rearange the programm and so it was a very personal tour. Because of the hugh amount of visitors we decided to visit Table Mountain in the afternoon, the best decision we could make! I don't know where to start, we saw some beautiful landscapes, pinguins, seals,.... also went to Cape of Good Hope and had a stuning view!! Christopher was so friendly and passioned even when my partner was so cheeky and told him all the information which we heard the days before in the Hop on Hop off Bus :) The sentence of the day: "Where do you know from? -- Let me guess-from the red bus!" :) Christopher is great and I could not imagine to spent the day with somebody else!!!an amazing day in Cape Town

Chris as a local was so knowledgeable about Cape Town and South Africa in general and gave me an incredibly varied tour around the city and the wider peninsula. He tailored everything to suit my needs, taking out things I had already done myself and adding in extra highlights. One of those was going to buy and watch some locals make koeksisters a traditional sweet in the colorful Bo Kaap neighborhood. The wine tasting and the visit to the Cape of Good Hope were particular highlights. I was also very interested in the old and modern history of Cape Town and Chris was very objective in his views, which gave me a wonderful 360 point of view on the history of the city and South Africa. I would highly recommend Chris as your tour guide if you are visiting Cape Town, I will most certainly be booking a tour with him again should I return to Cape Town in the future. We had the absolute best day with Daryl from With Locals. He picked us up from our Cape Town hotel and took us on an unforgettable adventure. From start to finish, he was so excited to share his beautiful city with us. We explored more in one day than we ever imagined possible. Starting at Bo-Kaap, then to Lion Head & Table Mountain, stopped at a roadside shop to look for paintings (one of our requests of the day), beautiful time at the oldest winery, breathtaking lunch overlooking the ocean, boulder beach to visit penguins and finally to Cape of Good Hope where we saw baboons & ostriches on the beach and hiked to the light house. Daryl never rushed us, he made us feel like family! What was planned to be an eight hour day, turned into eleven. We loved every second of the experience. Thank you Daryl!!! I had an amazing experience in Cape Town thanks to Daryl! I went on a private tour and it couldn't have gotten any better. Besides taking me to some of the most beautiful places in Cape Town - Table Mountain, Cape Point, Boulders Beach (to see the penguins), Chapman’s Peak, Daryl gave me a few very pleasant surprises along the way, customised for me based on his understanding of “all the crazy things” I like to do. We are a family of four (parents, two daughters 17 and 10) who took a Cape Peninsula day trip with Sebastian. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this to anyone who is considering it. Sebastian told us about the city and suburbs as well as the history and geography of the area as we headed further south. He was happy to answer any of our questions about what we were seeing, about South Africa, or about the Cape in particular. We made multiple stops and Sebastian made sure to get some family photos of us at different locations. We never felt rushed, we had enough time at each spot to explore, and it was lovely to learn more about Cape peninsula from and expert *and* not have to worry about driving ourselves. Our family (parents plus 17 year old and 10 year old daughters) spent our first afternoon in Cape Town walking and eating and learning with Christopher on the 10 Tastings of Cape Town experience. It was a great way to start our time in South Africa. Right up front, Chris told us that there were no questions or topics that would be off-limits, and we really enjoyed our few hours with him. We ate some wonderful food and learned about the culinary and cultural melting pot that is Cape Town, as well as a lot more about South African history.
