Our guide ,Manuel, was super accomodating, helpful and knowledgable and made us enjoy our day trip to Verona. The restaurant that he recommended for lunch, Trattoria Fluviale Vecio Mulin, was so good and tucked away, as only a local would know as it was what we wanted. We enjoyed the view of the river and the castle while enjoying the great food. Our trip to Verona is indeed made memorable with Manuel as our guide.In love with Verona

This was our second tour with Martina during this stay in Verona. Martina was simply exceptional in looking after us on this occasion also. She arranged for her boyfriend Henny to take host us for the initial part of the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed his company during the wine tasting. Martina then took over and completed the tour which included a visit to Lazise. Again, her knowledge of the area and historical locations was outstanding. We are particularly grateful for her care and assistance in conveying us to Bardolino which was our next location for our visit to Verona and Lago di Garda. We like to preview areas for planning our future trips to Italy. Martina took us on a half day trip to see the beautiful area of Lake Garda. Martina took us to a winery that we loved. My husband does not even drink and thoroughly enjoyed the tour about the process and the history of the winery, owned by two sisters. Martina was knowledgeable about the region. Alessandro was a great tour guide. He was able to accommodate a short notice tour and we saw some really great things. He had a lot of information about the area and was easy to talk to. Unfortunately a lot of sites were closed down during our time there, but Alessandro was able to make up for that by showing us more off the beaten path sites and took us to an incredible winery. Alessandro was an amazing host in Verona. He met us close to our rental and took us through all the highlights of the city. It was hot but we didn’t mind because the history and beauty of the city came to life. He gave us great tips for dinner and we had the most amazing ice cream in the world!! We even got to see the best tortellini maker in the world - who is his friend. We are so glad we made a stop in Verona! We will be back!!We love Verona!!

If you are considering it, do it! Alessandro was a fantastic guide, full of knowledge about the local area and food. Often sharing where he would go and what he would eat - great recommendations! We spent three hours with Alessandro on one of the hottest days of the year so far. The Affogatos were a great way to start the tour. We loved the tapas style lunch and local wines and oils to try. Gelatos, cannoli, granitas all appreciated too! All the information related to historical Verona through the ages and how it has become the beautiful, eclectic city it is now. Never rushed, Alessandro became part of our group of 6 walking around the city. He tailored the food and tour to our questions, likes and requests … but also added far more than we expected! A plate of not very good pasta and 2 glasses of wine did not live up to the 10 tastings promised. More knowledge from the guide about what was open on Easter Monday would have helped. Saw some interesting parts of Verona but a disappointing tour overall More of a history than a food tour

We were fortunate to book a tour of Verona with Alessandro recently. Him being born and raised in Verona provided us with an intimate glimpse into what Verona is all about. Having studied and worked in the US his command of the English language was perfect. At every turn of the tour he provided fascinating information regarding our next encounter, such as the meaning of the crenels on bridges and buildings. he also made sure we were introduced to the local food. We chose affogato and bruschetta and his choices of where to go and enjoy it was "perfecto". Alessandro was very informative and yet down to earth and relatable. I always read these reviews and think "it's a bot, or paid advertising", so let me start by saying I'm neither. Just a traveler from another country trying to have the best experience possible in Italy and Alessandro made that happen. Before even meeting he was extremely helpful in finding locations and restruants in near by cities and helping to navigate certain aspects that may be confusing for a foreigner. For our tour, sadly it was a rainy day, but it didn't stop us. He expertly guided us through the beautiful city of Verona pointing out things that anyone but a local would miss. Sharing stories of his personal past along side historic facts that were awe inspiring. He is truly a man of the people, everywhere we went we bumped into locals he knew and shared a laugh (and even a glass of wine). To put it plainly, we started with the best hot chocolate we've ever had, ended with the best pasta we've ever had and everything between was absolute perfetto!! Thank you again Alessandro, may your days be long and your wine glass always full. Perfetto!!!!

We had a wonderful day with Alessandro. It was an easy tour from the beginning. He picked us up at our hotel (right on time) and off we went into the countryside! He took the time to show us several beautiful spots along the way to Lake Garda. The winery at the end was really lovely. We got to meet the owners and it felt very special. We are on our way to Venice and he sent us some recommendations for that stay as well! It was a wonderful day and I recommend him very highly! Italy wins!!A wonderful day going to the lake

We booked a day trip to Lake Garda and the surrounding area with Alessandro on February 13 25, He was prompt to the hotel and our journey was on. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, it was foggy and drizzly. But Alessandro did his best to keep us entertained. We stopped at several villages and took in the history of the area. We concluded our day trip with a tour of a local Winery, what a great way to finish the day. I would do another tour with Alessandro,he is knowledgeable,courtesy and helpful. We met Manuel at the Porta Borsari and immediately felt welcome and at ease. He delighted us with facts about Verona, its history, lifestyle and customs. Our tour took us to the main attractions in the old part of the city and a wonderful selection of wines and tasty foods. I had a last minute oppurtunity to tour Verona and Alex happened to be available. He catered the tour to the flow of questions and time allowance we had. It was a great mix of history, food, and of course he even mixed in some wine. Alex knows his city and wasted no time navigating from one point to another. We have been on a lot of tasting tours in various cities. We do it as a way to acclimate ourselves. Alessandro’s tour wasn’t the typical where you eat something, walk a couple blocks, eat something else. He took us out on the town in his city. He showed it to us as a proud son of Verona, imbuing history and coloring it with the personal. We did duck into places to try a nibble here or sit down in one place to try several bites. One eatery he wanted to showcase wasn’t open, but it was okay. He gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay—many of which we tried. His recommendations were spot on. We met Alessandro on a very rainy day for a tour of Verona. He took us to some amazing places, including a very old wine shop, fantastic pizza (the best we've had in Italy), and all of the important sites. Martina picked us up at our apartments and drove us to the Valpolicella region where we enjoyed tastings at two different wineries. Martina, being from a wine-making family, had great background knowledge of the area and the processes in the vineyard and the winery leading to the production of the final product. An enthusiastic, interactive and genial host, Martina was able to convey the knowledge in a complete way and increased our understanding of the different requirements to produce the finished products emanating from the region. We went to her friends winery first and had an introductory wine tasting, paired with local cheeses and meats (yummy!), then on to Martina's family winery wit more exploration of the processes and tastings of their selected wines (excellent). But not only the wine - before we returned to Verona we were treated to a scenic tour through the hills overlooking Verona, including the views from a retreat/ monastic area which were spectacular. All in all a wonderful excursion into the world of wines in this region. Alessandro came up with a fantastic personalised tour of Monte Baldo and its beautiful forests and mountain scenery and then we went along the shoreline of Lake Garda. Starting at the dramatically beautiful north end of the lake, down to the more popular and picturesque southern villages. He was informative and friendly and knew the best views, gelato stops, prettiest towns and food spots along the way. My husband and I met with Alessandro near to where we were staying at his suggestion which was very helpful. He showed us lots of things we would have missed without his help.
