Travelled to visit chateaux in the Loire Valley by metro, fast train and car with Anukool. Although this is a long day, I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations which helped the travel time fly by. Anukool shared his passion for travel as well as his knowledge of history, the Loire Valley and Paris. As a single traveller, I appreciate a guide who can customize a tour to suit my travel style. We visited three chateaux as planned, touring the interiors of two and the exterior and grounds of a third. We also fit in time to view a fourth chateau. Anukool was a wealth of information and knowledge both of the things on this tour as well as a multitude of other places, countries as he has done quite a bit of travel. It was a bit disappointing that we had to buy our tickets for the inside of Chenonceau, for the amount the tour cost and based on past experiences entry tickets are usually included in tour prices. We had great visits to Chenonceau and Cheverny. Our only complaint was that it didn't seem he did this trip that often and didn't do his homework and know about a big cycling race that was happening in one of the towns we were supposed to visit and what times restaurants close during the day as it was a challenge to find somewhere to eat lunch. Also his driving skills were not that great and at times didn't feel 100% safe. We took the train to Tours and then he drove a rental car to the Chateaus. Overall a nice day and good toursGreat Day Trip

It would be difficult not to connect with Giedre. You'll delight in her joy of Paris' many hidden spots. More than once on the tour, we ducked from the busy main road into a magical courtyard the hurried passers-by missed entirely. Some of them, seeing her, did the same. They always had an expression of wonder that said, "I never knew this was here!" All our cares were gone, as we knew we were in good hands. Jerome is very friendly and a very interesting person. He has great skills which add to the amazing tour he gave us. We tried food we would have tried that is local and visited a restaurant which is not touristy but has amazing atmosphere. Most of all he told us history facts that we did not know and had us laughing by the end when we sat for drinks at a beautiful spot with all his travel stories. This was our first time booking withlocals! I went with my intuition and booked with Anukool and I'm so happy I did. I saw that he had a love a history and so does my Husband. What I didn't know was that he also has a fashion degree which comes with its own history and is perfect for Paris! He was able to keep the attention of my Husband and my three teen girls. He even went out of his way to help us navigate the Paris Metro system, helping us buy our tickets to Versailles and Disney Paris. He suggested buying our return tickets at the same time so we didn't wait in a line when returning. Anakool has so much to offer with his world traveling, fashion background and his love of history. He can tailor any tour to your needs. I can't wait to go back and book another tour. I know we just scratched the surface with Anukool and Paris. Book Anukool! He has your perfect tour!

Friends who had recently been to Paris recommended Withlocals, and after looking through all the guides we decided to go with Giedre. She was excellent! She was waiting for us at the designated spot with a smile on her face, and spent just over 3 hours taking us on a personal walking tour through Paris, with some stops along the way to for some quick shopping or to grab a drink at our request. Her knowledge and passion about the history and architecture of Paris was apparent from the start, and she had a great ability to share the history and stories of all the places we passed in such an interesting way and answer our questions. It was really fun exploring Paris with a local, and she was full of helpful little tidbits of information, like when we took the Metro together to one spot she told us to make sure our pockets were zipped and our bags were held close because of pickpocketing, or took us to a street with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower that tourists don't frequent but where the locals like to go. She also shared some of her own personal recommendations for areas to visit, restaurants she loves, good places to buy posters or grab a cafe latte. She curated the tour a bit based on some of the things we wanted to see and do, and at the end dropped us off at an amazing cafe that won the award for the best croissants in Paris in 2023 where we had an incredible lunch. I would highly recommend Withlocals for an elevated experience touring Paris, and if you do a walking tour, you can't go wrong with Giedre. She's absolutely lovely and delightful and is sure to make your tour a wonderful afternoon in Paris. Amazing guide and experience

I feel awful giving a negative review, but I wish I had come across more critical reviews of this tour. All three people in my party were really disappointed with this tour. To give credit, Anukool was flexible and allowed for us to move along to the next spot if we weren't interested or extend if we wanted to stay longer in an area. He was *very* flexible. The stops on this tour were mediocre at best. We arrived hungry and the tour began with an overly sweet dessert from a popular chain, then we went to a quiche our guide bought at a window and we ate outside in the rain, and next was oysters. It didn't feel well thought-out regarding order of food and the quality was subpar. Furthermore, we expected to meet a local with a bubbly personality who may customize based on who we were and what we were interested in. Our guide was an expat who talked about the history and asked few questions. He was really knowledgeable, but for us, the tour fell flat. We really liked the area. Ultimately, we wanted to be captivated by our tour guide, have a generous amount of curiosity sparked on our end, and leave feeling like we ate foods we wouldn't have found on our own. Honestly, we expected a more for the money

Nice tour by a member of the French Blood Bowl champion team. Jay told us some interesting info about the differences between French and American societies. We walked through the daily market in Arr. 12 where we tasted a variety of cheese and meats. We walked to a wine shop where we had our choice of wine and then two different desserts. At the end of the tour we walked to the Place de la Bastille.Charcuterie, wine, dessert and history.

My wife and I had nothing but a great experience with Jay. We were running late due to issues with our phone service, and he was willing to wait almost 10 minutes until we arrived at the meeting spot. He took us to some great food places, which I would describe as offering more authentic Parisian food selections. The food and wine we tried were mind-blowing. As long as you approach it with an open mind and are willing to try different food options, you will have a fantastic time. To end the tour, he took us to an amazing garden in the city that makes you feel like you’re outside of it. Thank you for everything Izabele! I would highly recommend spending an evening in Paris with Izabele. She was very patient with us as we navigated Paris to arrive at our meeting spot. In the end, despite having to come and collect us she showed up with a warm and friendly smile. We walked and talked as though we were all old friends. She was flexible when we asked for a change in itinerary. Instead, she showed us the sights that locals typically enjoy. We explored two beautiful neighbourhoods that we never would have come across on our own. Izabele, answered our many questions. Since I was traveling in Paris with my teenage daughter I greatly appreciated her tips about safety and areas that we should consider avoiding after certain times. At the end of the evening, Izabele gave us a delicious dinner recommendation. After our tour she sent us an email with suggestions and recommendations that we discussed while we were in Paris. Additionally, when I asked for a further recommendation Izabele was most responsive. I would suggest booking the night walk with Izabele at the beginning of your trip.
