We’re a family of five with kids ages 18, 15, and 11. Fabrizio was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and spoke excellent English. He even took us slightly off the beaten path, which we really enjoyed. Along the way, he introduced us to a traditional Peruvian game called Sapa. Melisa’s many years as a guide is obvious in her knowledge and understanding of the Incans, their way of life, belief systems, etc. Not only that, but she knew how to plan the day so that we avoided the crowds of tourists visiting the sites! We also found her to be a very kind person-someone very easy to spend the entire day with. I had an amazing day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas with Fabrizio. It was like hanging out with your best friend, laughing and having a fun time. He's a great host, knowledgeable, and you won't be disappointed! Fabrizio's grandfather was a pioneer in Puru's travel industry, owning hotels in Cusco and Yucay. So, Fabrizio grew up in the valley and knows the history and the best places to visit. Our first stop was at Tika Centro de Produccion Textil, a female weaving cooperative located in the town of Chinchero. Tika's products are hand made from sheep, alpaca, and llama wool. Tika offers free demonstrations showing how the wool is washed, the threads are made, how it is colored using many native plants, rocks, insects, and then how the colored threads are meticulously woven into beautiful clothing and shawls. Our next stop was Moray, one of the famous Inca ruins near Cusco. It is composed of three groups of circular terraces, or muyus in the Indigenous Quechua language, that descend 490 feet from the highest terrace to the lowest. Each muyu has 12 levels of terraces with the largest depression having a diameter of 600-feet. Surrounded by the towering Andes mountains, looking into the depths of these man-made craters will fill you with awe and wonder. It is widely believed that the Moray ruins were used as an experimental farm by the Incas over 500 years ago. We then traveled to Maras, a town located in the Sacred Valley where an ancient custom is still practiced, the use of pre-Inca salt ponds. These amazing constructions continue to provide pink salt which has been recommended by experts as a healthy option to flavor meals due to its curative properties. Aside from its nutritional value, the salt ponds of Maras are often visited for their spectacular scenery. Our final stop was Yucay for a delicious lunch at the hotel Fabrizio's grandfather once owned. At 9,373 feet above sea level, about 1,640 feet below the city of Cusco, many feel its warm, temperate climate is one of the best climates in the entire Sacred Valley of the Incas. Yucay is a Quechua word that, translated into Spanish, means ‘deception’ or ‘charm.’ During Inca times, Yucay was the residence of the emperors Huayna Cápac and Sayri Túpac. Due to its importance throughout history it is recognized as the ‘capital of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.’You'll have a fantastic day with Fabrizio!

My partner and I had a wonderful, full, fun day with Noé as our guide to the Sacred Valley and other fascinating areas in the region. His knowledge and his ability to discuss the history and culture of the various sites we visited was extensive and interesting. When we asked questions, he made the effort to answer in context, and it was more like a discussion than a one-way lecture. Also, as the day went on we were able to make changes to the schedule he had prepared to better suit our specific interests. The driver, Ronnie, was equally up to the task, and given some of the mountain roads we traversed our kudos to him as well. My wife and I did Pilsac on our own so we didn’t want the advertised Sacred Velley itinerary so I messaged Fabrizio before booking and he suggested a varied itinerary. Our trip took us to Chinchero, Maras, Ollantaytambo with varying routes of travel and side stops to see some beautiful vistas that were off the beaten path cutting through dirt roads and isolated from tourists. We never felt rushed at any of our stops and were able to go at our own pace and make decisions on the fly as to where to go next within our day. We chose to have lunch in Ollantaytambo at Chuncha of an multi course sample of local foods for two that included Cuy and Alpaca among many other locally sourced vegetables and fruits. On the return we took another route to make a full circle back to Cusco giving different scenery than on the way out. Fabricio definitely put his touch on a great day and to top it off we managed to avoid rain in January.A Customized Day in the Sacred Valley

We had an excellent tour with Fabrizio. My mom ended up injuring her knee so he slowed it down so we could take it at her pace. The food we sampled was what the locals eat and it was perfect. We have been on numerous food tours in many different countries. The only reason for 8 and not 10 is at times there was some silence where on other tours the guide always had some interesting facts to share about the town, culture, or food. Still, do not hesitate and book Fabrizio! What the Peruvians eat!

Fabrizo was very flexible when we had to change our tour date due to other commitments. He picked us up at our hotel to start the tour which was very nice. We went to two restaurants, the first where we had fantastic adobo and chicarrón and enjoyed a local beer. We then went to another restaurant and had picarones. Delicious and we were so full. Plenty of delicious food. But what we didn’t know was that we wouldn’t get the tastings that were listed on the itinerary. It felt a little more like we went out for dinner and dessert rather than sampling a bunch of things. But it was still all very good. If we had known the change of date/time would have changed the food itinerary, we may have considered cancelling or going with another guide. It’s fun to sample multiple things. Fabrizio was a very knowledgeable guide. He knew a lot about the city and answered all of our questions. A bit more quiet and not as gregarious as our experience with other tour guides, but still provided us a good tour and experience. Nice tour of Cusco and great food

Fabrizio provided a wonderful tour tailored to our interests. When touring the market, he explained the different sections which greatly enhanced our experience. Additionally, when I mentioned wanting to buy a painting, he helped find a reputable artist! My wife and I were very lucky to have Melisa as our tour guide for a custom Cusco city area tour. Melisa was not just a guide but an ambassador to the wonderful culture and history of Cusco. Melisa was very prompt in her responses before the tour. I requested that she add San Pedro market to the tour and she was able to accommodate. Her communication via WhatApp before we arrived in Cusco included tips on how to handle the altitude sickness and also to make sure that we have arrived safely. On the day of the tour, she was at our hotel early and we were off to a wonderful and insightful tour of the city. Without going into details of each area, I felt that Melisa timed everything perfectly. Spending a significant amount of time at the biggest and significant archeological sites. Each site, she provided the background, history, and the cultural significance. Her connection with the area is felt through her explanations and you can feel the pride she has in showing off Cusco. Her tour of San Pedro was exactly what I was hoping for. A local that knows the vendors and can provide an explanation. We were able to sample the delicious fruits at the market and also quite a few other items. Even as the tour was running long, Melisa did not take any short cuts. She made sure that we got everything we asked for and more! Melisa is definitely a guide I would recommend highly for Cusco and its surrounding. Her language skills were impeccable. Her warmth and kindness was genuine and you just feel like you have a friend in a new city. A wonderful ambassador to Cusco!!

We booked our tour with Fabrizio. Our flight was unfortunately delayed and we arrived in Cusco later than we expected. Fabrizio was so gracious working with us to reschedule the tour for a time that worked better. As Fabrizio was unable to make the new time, he kindly arranged for Pauld to meet us. It was an amazing tour of Cusco and we learned so much history of the area we would never have known! Pauld brought us to a huge local market that left us amazed. He showed us pre-Incan, Incan and post-Incan foundations that are still used and still structurally sound! We never would have known! My sister and I took a Cusco food tour with Fabrizio in May 2024. He was on time, pleasant, and a wealth of local information. Went to a "hole in the wall" restaurant for lunch. It was the best food we ate in Peru. After Fabrizio took us into a local neighborhood to a local estabilishment for three different desserts. All were great. My wife, Tia, and I had the distinct pleasure of spending time with Fabrizio for the full day Sacred Valley tour— customized exactly to our needs. He was extremely responsive and even offered to talk beforehand because my wife has altitude sickness quite often and was a little anxious about our first couple of days at altitude. Fabrizio took care of us and treated us to a worry-free day. We enjoyed every single site he took us to and perhaps most importantly his pacing! He never once rushed us, but also kept us informed in how long he recommends for each site so we didn’t miss out on anything. I warned Fabrizio ahead of time that my wife needed lots of time meeting Alpacas, and he certainly delivered. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so happy. Fabrizio also customized our needs for coffee, food and brewery stops, and captured amazing photos along the way. He was equally up for more challenging hikes or adventurous food options. We had a very limited time to enjoy Cusco before moving on to our next destination and we knew the best way to get the most out of it would be with a local so we booked a tour. We enjoyed learning more about Cusco from Fabrizio! He was kind and showed us around the area. Unfortunately the tour did not meet our expectations in terms of learning about the gastronomy of the region as there wasn’t a lot of explanation about the food itself. It felt like more of a history tour with breaks for eating. More of a history tour

Great food tour with Fabrizio! He included specific dishes we asked for like cuy and introduced us to new ones like adobo and chicha morada, all of which were delicious! Highly recommended a food tour with Fabrizio!Great introduction to Peruvian food!

We booked a tour with Fabrizio our first day in Cusco to help introduce us to the city and it did not disappoint at all. Fabrizio was so awesome from the moment we met him, it felt like we were adventuring around with an old friend. He showed us the cool high points, and also some authentic Peruvian experiences so we could get a real feel for the culture. It was awesome! Fabrizio gave us a really engaging tour of Cusco centre from a local’s perspective. He took us to the market, introduced us to some of the stall holders and arranged us to taste some locally produced chocolate. We then went to a local bar and guinea pig restaurant and tried some local beer before marching up some rather steep hills to take pictures in the best viewing spots. Throughout, Fabrizio explained the history of Cusco, local customs and prompted us to stop for photos in the best spots. A very enjoyable experience with a brilliant guide that we will remember for a long time to come. Picture perfect local tour

We had a great experience with Fabrizio. He picked us up at Cuzco and took us to various interesting places in the Sacred Valley on our way to Ollantaytambo, where we picked up the Machu Picchu train. The itinerary was very well chosen, he was knowledgeable and efficient, and this trip proved to be a great idea. I wish we had hired him also on the return to Cuzco...it would have been far better than taking the bus back. He took us to Chinchero, Moray and up the ruins in Ollanta itself...a magical experience that prepared us for the magic of Machu Picchu.Excellent

We booked a full day tour with Fabrizio. Because of our likes, he was able to customize it to see some ruins, city center tour, and some good tasting. We had a great time, but more importantly, he was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the pre-Incas, Incas, and general life in Cusco! Highly recommend him if you’re in Cusco! Great Experience!

Fabrizio is a fantastic guide! It was an easy meet up and he took us to various spots around Cusco. He gave us an in-depth tour of the market and taught us about parts of the culture through this experience. We tasted fruits and chocolates and learned how various produce and products are used in daily life. A wonderful experience for our senses and mind. Afterwards we strolled through the town up to higher elevations for views and a history lesson along the way. Truly an authentic experience that all four of us thoroughly enjoyed.
