The tour with Rodney was a great introduction to Belfast. The richness of the historical landscape helped us to further understand the division and the transitional journey to find a means toward unification. Conor did a great job of answering our questions and providing current and historical, local and political knowledge. However, this was listed as a "food tour" and we did not really get local food similar to other food tours that we've done. And it was not clear on how or what we should order at the 2 places we did stop (the 3rd stop was just for beer/whiskey). Other food tours had small portions of local food so we could try a variety but not get full with 6-10 different foods.Good info but not really a food tour

We unexpectedly chose a holiday and an early start which turned out to be problematic since many businesses were not open. Conor did a great job of adjusting the itinerary to focus on what was available. He is extremely well educated and speaks to the Belfast history from an educational and personal perspective. This made it very entertaining. While the food portion was limited, the city your was great.Playing with the cards you are given .

He’s Incredibly knowledgeable about the current and very complex politics of Belfast. It’s a complicated place and it’s easy to judge it quickly, but Connor helped us actually understand the people here and how they felt and why they felt that way. Basically, if you want to understand Belfast on a deep cultural, political and historical level, he’s your man. He goes out of his way to make the tour as comprehensive as possible, taking you to out of the way spots and even introducing you to some locals if you come across an interesting character. On top of all that, he’s a very entertaining story teller and, might I add, exceptionally well dressed.Connor was absolutely brilliant!

I would give him 100 stars if possible! Very personable and knowledgeable. We are history NERDS and he geared the tour to it. We learned so much about the city and country. He was extremely entertaining as well. Lots of stories behind buildings and murals and things only a local passionate about their city can tell you. Book him for your time in Northern Ireland and you will not be disappointed.Best tour ever!

Conor greeted us with a huge smile and a twinkle in his eye. With a special shot of whiskey, Conor introduced us to Belfast’s wonderful food and drink scene. We really enjoyed our taste and walk with Conor yesterday. My 17 year old grandson said he had the best lemonade, the best crisps, the best hot chocolate EVER! Plus he had the biggest lunch! Conor's cell broke and he didn't get notice of us booking the tour, and so wasn't at the meeting spot. Within 10 minutes I was able to contact the WithLocals staff, who connected with him and he arrived as soon as he could; within an hour of our original meeting time, and very eager to make it up to us. We got a good understanding of Belfast's past and present, and saw a great hidden garden of wall art. He was very flexible to make the tour relevant to us, as we don't drink and had a teen daughter with us.Accommodating even when thrown a curveball

On our first day in Belfast we arranged for Conor to walk us around the city center. We really enjoyed meeting Conor who is a warm and fun person and an excellent storyteller. He has much knowledge about local history and local beverages/food and besides showing us an excellent pub and restaurant we got to see what interested us around the city. On our request he walked us by many murals (both old and new ones). We really appreciated that Conor also made an efford to involve our teenagers like letting them try different potatoe crisps or candy. This is an excursion which is ideal as an afternoon activity. We visited Belfast in the beginning of March and had such a lovely day together with Rodney. He picked us up in his very comfortable car and took us to the fantastic Giants Causeway. Such a marvellous nature and scenery! We went for a walk in the nature park and really enjoyed our visit. During the tour with Rodney we also had time to cross the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge and visit Ballintoy Harbour. Travelling with two teenagers, we really appreciated Rodney to take his time to listen to their wishes as well. On their initiative we had a stop at the Dark Hedges for a photo opportunity and also stopped for Fish and Chips when they got hungry. We really recommend you all to go on this tour with Rodney. He has lots of knowledge about the area and is a very nice person. He is also an excellent driver. Thank you so much Rodney! Marvellous nature and scenery

I went on this tour, taken by Conor..I am from Belfast, and he took a small number of us to places in the city I wasnt aware of.His depth of knowledge and engagement was formidable.he was fun, friendly, warm and obviously passionate about sharing the lesser known wonders of the city.We visited an Art workshop, a Military museum, a bespoke whiskey shop, and were taken inside one of Belfast's oldest churches, and more.Throughout, Conor was indefatigable, unfailingly good humored and confident in his knowledge.Our tour was very comprehensive, and, although we only covered a segment of the city centre, I felt what we did see was very rich and interesting. It certainly whetted my appetite for exploring other parts of the city with this company.I felt that It was almost robbery to pay him only 10 pounds per head for this, he is certainly underpaid for the knowledge and value he provided!I would have paid twice the amount and still felt happy, it was that good. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour, for locals and visitors alike.Brilliant

Did a wonderful walking tour this past Saturday with Conor Owens, whose witty, intelligent, and thoughtful conversation brought small corners or Belfast to life. We thoroughly enjoyed our city centre walking tour last Friday. It was a great way to get up to speed with the city’s history, culture, art and a lot more. Our friendly guide was full of interesting anecdotes and took us through streets we would have otherwise completely missed. He is clearly very well-liked and seems to know most people in Belfast. Myself, wife, daughter and our Spanish friend took this tour with Conor. We cannot recommend him highly enough. He was knowledgeable, engaged, interested in our viewpoints and gave great value.
