He didn’t came to give us the tour.
And told us the same day. Didn’t show up
We met as planned and Simona asked about our interests. She adapted the tour to meet our expectations in every way. She was very informative and great fun to be with. She has lots of recommendations and we followed her advice for dinner which was a great experience. She is very good on the history of Brindisi and we learned a lot. We would have no hesitation in recommending her tours. Simona is just great
We booked this tour for our day in Brindisi based on the description of the tour which made mention that we would be trying local food and drink at "at least" three stops. The tour does mention history and we did get that but we did NOT get tastings at three locations. At the end of the tour, our guide Michael took us to a local spot. Here we had coffee and a few different finger.foods. There where bbq chips, peanuts and crackers also available. I would not recommend this tour as we did not get what we paid for sadly. This Is Not A Food Tour
We had a great time touring Brindisi with Michael. Tons of interesting "local color" comments, as well as fascinating historical tidbits as well. The view of an Irish ex pat in Southern Italy was refreshing.Fun, irreverent 2 hours in Brindisi
We had 2 tous booked with this company NO ONE SHOWED UP THEY SENT A CANCELLATION NOTICE THE DAY AFTER NO REFUND. WE HAD 13 PEOPLE BOOK ON 2 TOURS! SHAME ON YOU!DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY NO SHOW NO R
We enjoyed our quick intro to Brindisi on a private tour with Michael. Since he’s only lived there for a few years he brought a European and local perspective on the history and architecture. Not only did Michael provide good info, he asked a lot of really good questions to learn about us as well.Great perspective from a new local
Be prepared for a wonderful day with Michael! Our tour with Michael was a highlight of our 10-day cruise around Italy. He shared insightful details on commercial, political, religious, cultural and culinary history as we meandered through the streets of Brindisi on a very hot day in early July. We were a group of four and we had limited time to explore, but Michael was most accommodating, helping us squeeze as much in as we could while in town. Having moved to Italy after growing up in Ireland, Michael has a unique perspective about the ways of life in Brindisi, which made our trip all the more personable and enjoyable. Michael's knowledge of the area coupled with his quick wit made us all fast friends. We wanted to do the 10 Tastings of Brindisi , but time sadly would not allow. Instead, we enjoyed sharing a delightful lunch and a refreshing Aperol Spritz at the end of the tour - a lovely way to end a most memorable day! Michael will be our first contact if we find ourselves in the area again, and based on Michael's presentation, that may be sooner than later! Book with Michael and you won't be disappointed! No better way to see Brindisi!
We were all over Italy, but Brindisi was my best experience! Mala was very knowledgeable and helpful with all our questions and showed us around for 2 hours.. I wish we had more time.. we enjoyed the time with her and she took us to the best places to try the best food and best desserts. Mala spoke very good English and we could understand each other very well.
At the end of the year I think I will be there again and I’ll make sure to make the booking though Withlocals again.
Thank you Mala and Withlocals for making this trip amazing for us.
See you soon ☺️Brindisi was my best experience!
We had great fun during our introduction with Tango! We had great fun and enjoyed ourself lots.
Nice personal stories and good personal advice on your dance! An amazing dancing class with Simona
No spoilers here, but I will say, you are in for a real treat with a great surprise! What an awesome experience I had learning about Argentinian culture! It's contagious! Now I can't wait to visit in person! Simona is a great example of what a host or guide should be - she is a great storyteller, very warm and personable! She made Argentina come alive in my living room, thanks to her passion for sharing her country. This experience is a must-do. Many thanks to Simona for brightening the COVID-19 times and introducing me to this amazing country, and her beautiful family.Love this experience with Simona in Buenos Aires!
Simona was a joy to spend the evening with. Very generous of spirit. She treated us to an amazing experience at a fantastic Milonga with amazing music (be prepared for the live band to replace the DJ extremely late at night). She told us a lot about tango culture and introduced us to friends she also danced with. We chose to see the scene at the Milonga instead of getting lessons and were so impressed with the great “expert amateur” dancers crowding a large dance floor, with more professional looking dancers taking turns and the musically superior band and singer also both accompanying the dancers and playing without dancers. I would strongly urge you to set up a Simona tango experience. Insiders guide to authentic tango
Simona was an excellent guide, telling us about the city and the food. She knew where she was going and called ahead to ensure it was smooth, and helped with general questions about the exchange rate and politics. It was a perfect way to start our trip and we couldn't be happier. We definitely recommend doing the tour with Simona.Fun and interesting!
I have known Simona for the past 10 years as a friend from her life in the US, so I wasn’t surprised to discover that she has become a local guide after moving to Buenos Aires. Her enthusiasm for everything that is culture, tango, food and art was well known to me, so I could not wait to experience her view of Buenos Aires. She took me out of the beaten path, knowing that I had visited before, and brought a new perspective on a city I fell in love with again. Being a skilled tango dancer, she is aware of the Buenos Aires tango scene and has lots of friends around her. Going to a tango party with her was an absolute blast.I could not recommend her more
For our first trip to Buenos Aires in November 2019, we were very lucky to have Simona as our guide to help us focus our activities and make the most of our limited time. Perhaps because she is a transplant herself, she has immersed herself in the BA tango scene, culture and history with a level of excitement and energy that was super contagious.
Before we left home, she sent practical suggestions about changing money, taking taxis, and going shopping so we came prepared to hit the ground running. We explored the city with 2 of her guided tours, and we had such a great time that we are hoping to make it a yearly trip, and can't wait to go out with Simona again!
She loves the city and she will be more than happy to show you the best of it. Me and my boyfriend visited Buenos Aires July of 2019 for a few days. Since we didn’t know much about the city we arranged a tour with Simona and had the best time with her. She showed us beautiful spots around the city and gave us advice and cool tips of how to spend the rest of our trip. Her energy and enthusiasm made us feel like home and changed our whole experience there. Totally recommended!Simona is the person you need to know when you visit Buenos Aires.
