Our family group of 10 did a 2 hour tour of Lucerne with Tainah and she was a wonderful guide who gave us a great overview of the city! She was very flexible and answered all of our questions, she gave us history & brought us to of all of the most visited sites and gave us advice and suggestions for the rest of our Lucerne visit. I’d definitely recommend a tour with her and schedule it on your first day so you can use all of her suggestions for your remaining visit!A wonderful tour of Lucerne!

We had a great 2 hour private tour with John. He shared the history of Lucerne, explained the layout of the city, and introduced us to many of the key landmarks and areas throughout the city. John’s knowledge gave us better perspective on touring and understanding Lucerne and the things we see throughout the old town. He also left us with some great recommendations for places to eat/drink and other sites to see and experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone experiencing Lucerne for the first time. Our Viking Host, Sandiana, was exceptional. She was so friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. I especially appreciated her help with the hotel when there was a problem with our room. My husband and 4 20 something daughters had a delightful 3 hour tour of Old Town Lucerne with local, John. He was lighthearted, easy to understand (he is originally from Scotland with just a hint of an accent), and had some great fun facts and not-so-fun facts (history is a bit dark at times) about the inception of the city and current events. John was hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had a tour with. Plus he’s friendly, easy to talk to, and you can tell he’s genuinely passionate about Lucerne and history. He was also able to answer all of our random questions about Swiss culture, it’s history, politics, etc and we knew we were just scratching the surface of what he could share.
