We loved our tour of Valletta with Victoria she was super knowledgeable and helped us to get oriented with the city with lots of history and fun facts too. She was great at suggesting an alternative start time for our tour avoid heat of the day and met us directly at our hotel. Victoria is an extremely nice lady with a lot of knowledge about Valetta. She gave a good overview, jumping from one topic to the other, which made it kind of interesting. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot, so it was not that much fun to walk around. But that was not Victorias fault. She also gave us a few helpful tips for restaurants to visit and even walked us to our first reservation. Really nice. Crazy little walk

We had a lovely tour in Valletta with Ilona. She was extremely knowledgeable about Malta and its history, and was very open and shared knowledge you wouldn’t typically receive in a regular tour, so it was really interesting and insightful. She is also super friendly and funny, very easy to talk to! Ilona took us to some beautiful spots and provided some great recommendations for places to see and eat / drink - not just in Valletta but also where we were staying in Sliema. I booked a 2h walking tour of Valetta as part of a bachelorette party and it was the best way to end our trip! Josefa is very passionate and knowledgable about her home town of Valetta. She gave us lots of history about the city as well as the best spots to eat/visit. She was really kind and even offered all of us a drink in her local pub at the end to celebrate the bride to be which was so much fun! I would highly recommend using Josefa! Fantastic Guide!

Bruna accommodated a later time for me and I was so grateful and she advised that her representative Deborah will so the tour. I arrived early and could not see a guide however it ended up that Deborah was there the whole time and on her phone and not looking for me at all until I approached her. Deborah was friendly and shared interesting facts of fascinating Valletta. However she spent a lot of time on her phone and did not dedicate her time to the tour.i also struggled to understand her at times.

Josefa was fantastic! She showed us so many things during our tour, and she even extended the tour for an extra half an hour! She was funny, knowledgeable, and answered every question we had. Our first full day in Valletta and Victoria took us around the city to learn about its history and taste some traditional foods. Victoria was very engaging and we now feel like we have a proper understanding of the key historical points of the City. If you want a high quality introduction to Valetta and Malta you must meet Victoria and have her take you around. Historical over view was excellent and she took us to places that other tours don’t go. Victoria’s local food tips and suggestions were excellent and much appreciated. I would definitely recommend booking with Victoria. Great experience with Victoria.

Victoria has great knowledge about Valletta an its history. I got dizzy by all the mentioned celebrations and all matching food. We walked around the center and tasted food at the places for the locals, curiously little other tourist at the spots. Certainly no tourist food! Luckily we found a cooking book with the tasted snacks. Now we are going to try to replicate the good feeling of Malta. Thank you Victoria, a walk to remember. We had great fun!Great walk! Of particular note was the library and the band rooms, little cafes and centres for the community to gather. We never would have found some of these places without a local guide. Our culinary tastes walk with Victoria started with meeting outside the main court building on Republic Street. We strolled and were told about the early history of Malta and some of the impressive buildings built by the Knights Templar and later occupiers of the islands, we then tried our first local speciality pastizzi a filo envelope filled with chicken or ricotta style cheese a three bite delicious snack from a little bake shop.in a side street we then moved on to a small bar/cafe called the Museum cafe,where we had a local sourdough sandwich (fcira) filled with tuna, salad beans,tomato and tomato paste,onion, capers and sliced onion. Delicious and very popular with locals and visitors We also tried a local bean curd paste and cheese with a pepper coating. All delicious and well worth seeking out.We walked on with loads more information on the work.of the Knights Templar building grand houses and churches, passed close to the Cathedral of St John and the to another little shop to taste a honey based treat popular with locals which we chose to have boxed for later in the day. Next back to Republic Street and the very posh Caffe Cordina a lovely cafe styled on the great Vienna coffee shops, must with posing citizens and their patisserie called cannoli o pastry tube filled with sweet cheese or a pistachio curd very yummy! Our final stroll.psst more impressive Templar built palaces used by the government to our last stop 'The Pub' in Archbishop Street famous for a very blow away visit by Oliver Reed when filming 'Gladiator ' which resulted in a fatal excess of liquid joy! A quirky place to end our excellent tour with a glass of the local beer.A walk with a local in Valetta

Absolutely brilliant! The knowledge and narrative that Victoria has on Valletta and Malta is immense....even after 6 days around Valletta, we thought we'd left it too late to get the full benefit but we didn't (it was impossible to book Victoria before then). Lots of little gems to find and so many interesting explanations around the history, art, buildings, architecture and hidden local communities that you simply can't locate just meandering the streets and visiting the key attractions. Yesterday we went to Mdina and Rabat with Victoria as our guide. Our contact prior to the visit was very smooth and meeting Victoria at the gates of Mdina was easy. On our tour around the cities Victoria was very good at informing us of details and small stories. She was attentive to our students and welcomed their questions. When finishing the historic tour, Victoria gave us tips on where to go and what to have for lunch. And also which local treats to try. All of this was greatly appreciated by us and our students. We (a group of 5) booked for 4pm, and moved to 5pm to accommodate Bruna's schedule (or we could move to a colleague). There were only 2 food stops: one at a food stand by the Triton Fountain, for pastizzi (cheese/pea) and the second at Luciano in Merchants Street, for a platter and a pizza. Bruna also gave us a box of Maltese biscuits. The tour lasted only 2 hours, not 3, finishing at the Queen Victoria Pub. After the tour we asked why, and it was because we were "very energetic". The tour was not absolutely not worth the EUR425.43 we paid, and WithLocals has provided a gift voucher for part of the cost.Disappointing

Our tour with Victoria was fab - we were a large group from all over the world but unfortunately a little limited on time and the weather was not in our favour! Despite all that, she provided a fantastic tour for our group - an informative overview of the history of Mdina, scenic route through the windy streets to see and learn about the most striking landmarks and even tailored the tour to add in some unique nuances that personalised the tour to us (church visit and coffee shop stop). We were a group of 11 and we can't recommend Victoria highly enough. She was flexible and accommodating to the needs and expectations of our group. We had an interesting time with Victoria yesterday. We had booked a walking food tour of Vallatta as we thought that would offer a different experience to just a walking tour. We were not disappointed! It was a marvellous morning discovering the food history of the capital. I would really recommend Victoria ( her knowledge was amazing!) and this tour. Don’t have breakfast. You are going to be nibbling all morning! Highly recommended. Fantastic food tour of Vallatta
