This was a very good tour led by a very friendly person. Cristian was attentive, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The locations that were picked were representative of Ecuadorian foods and were very delicious. Overall, it was a great experience led by a very good guide. Cristian took the four of us on a nice walking tour of the old town. We sampled many different foods and drinks too. Definitely skip breakfast before doing this tour -- you will be full. Our group hired Cristian for two tours in Quito on consecutive days. He was timely, knowledgeable and was able to cater to our groups (reasonable) requests. For example: one of our group members was interested in purchasing a hat. Cristian knew of a quality, indigenous hat maker whom he could contact and arrange a visit. Cristian was very friendly and had carefully selected some very representative local tastes and places with super nice locals to experience them. What would take the experience even to a higher level is sharing more interesting facts about the city and the food as we walked through, give tips on what additional local delicacies to taste after the tour (where to go / what to eat) and also finding an alternative for the last food we were supposed to taste where the store was closed. We only had a day in Quito and so we booked a foodie walking tour with Cristian. It was a fabulous 3 hours of trying all the local food and drinks whilst learning about the history of Quito and walking around the beautiful historical area. Cristian is extremely personable, spoke great English and made the experience special by explaining in detail the history of the city as well as the food and drinks. He supports the locals so we got to eat at some quaint and pretty places. You definitely won't go home hungry, so prepare your stomach! Thanks Cristian for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. We had a fantastic food tour with Cristian. He is incredibly knowledgeable and will give you opportunities to taste some of the best local foods you may not find on your own as a tourist. As a cook himself, he is very particular and has put together a great tour of wonderful tastings. Hint: come hungry! You may want to have a very small breakfast before joining him for 3 hours of tasty delights. Don’t miss this opportunity when in Quito!

Christian was very accommodating despite us being late to the party. He clearly loves his city and knows about all the right places to explore and makes it a point to explore the various locations. For me the highlight was a visit to a local place with many city-ethnic stands. I loved the smoked tripe and fritada. And we went to lunch the next day to sample again the best locra I had in Ecuador. Awesome food!

Cristian was very accommodating and met us on time at an easy landmark. His local knowledge of Quito and Equadorian culture was good and we were soooo stuffed with food at the end of the tour! (come very very hungry) The food tour also included city landmark information so you are getting a bit of both. My daughter and I only had a few days in Quito but Josue got us off to a great start with our food tour. Cristian is very accomodating, friendly and helpful host, who reacts flexibly to his guests' preferences. His food tour is well thought out and went absolutely smoothly - except for the beginning, when my wife and I lost each other before meeting him. In the end, the tour started about an hour late, but he did not cut it short anyway. On foot and by taxi we visited several place that all were interesting for both the food and the ambiance - some touristy, some seemingly visit only by locals. Cristian has worked as a chef, so he clearly knows what he is talking about. Food and drinks ranged from absolutely delicious to somewhat challenging, all dishes were not like anything we would be able to find at home - exactly what we hope for in a food tour! As this is a totally private tour, the price is a bit higher than some other tours but in our view completely worth it.Great private tour with Cristian
