Linda was a great guide, in particular for our 13 and 16-year old kids, who are 'less interested' in the historical facts. She found the right balance of facts to share, interesting stories, and activities to include ( gelato!) to keep our kids engaged for the most part. Great, relaxed tour of Diocletian's Palace and the surrounding area. Linda was super knowledgeable and very accommodating. Darko did a family tour with us in old town Split and his historical knowledge was impeccable. His English is also excellent, so we were able to follow easily. We had an amazing tour with Darko in the Diocletian Palace. Our family has a difficult time on a group tour due to our adult son being in a wheelchair and grandparents with mobility concerns. We booked a 5pm tour with Linda on the evening of our arrival in Split from the western US. Linda was an excellent tour guide. She is very responsive before the tour via text. Happy to answer all of our questions and met us at the cruise ship gate. Her English was perfect. She was kind and knowledgeable. She really made us feel welcomed to her home city. We learned a lot, which made everything more interesting. It was good that we started our Split visit with Dube- we learned so much about the history of the city and we got our bearings around town. We visited spots we would have missed and tried foods we were not as familiar with and it was all delicious. She gave us hints on where to go for the rest of our stay and places to eat for dinner. I cannot recommend this tour enough! Darko was amazing knowing all the best spots. It was worth the cost for a private tour as he was able to cater it to our dietary preferences, and even arrange some unique experiences to make the most of our time. He also shared some brief history along the way giving us more than just a good tour. It was the best way to see the city and it was clear he had some great connections with the locals also giving us recommendations for the rest if our trip. Our day in Split with Josko was perfect. He has extensive knowledge of the political and cultural history of Croatia and the entire region, and he's an excellent communicator. He's a great ambassador for his country. Within minutes he felt like an old friend. We learned more about Split and the Diocletian palace in a few hours with him than we would have in several days of blundering about on our own. There were several cruise ships in port that day, so by mid-morning the crowd of tourists swelled. Josko skillfully conducted us around the crowds to avoid lines and ensure that we saw everything we wanted to see as well as lots more we wouldn't have known to look for. He also guided us to an excellent sidewalk cafe for lunch where he helped us sample Croatian food and wines. We couldn't have asked for a better tour experience.A perfect day exploring Split

Joško was a wonderful guide...especially given the hot weather!! He was thoughtful in trying to keep us as comfortable as possible in the heat during our walking tour. Joško was great! His stories and wide knowledge really helped us see how Split changed through the ages and especially how the Diocletian Palace and the Old Town came to be! We learned so much more than we would have done just looking around by ourselves or with guidebooks (which only tell half the story at most) and he even managed to keep a thirteen year old and an eighteen year old engaged for over two hours. I contacted Dubravka to help arrange a customized tour of split for my group of 6. She was easy to work with and helped plan the day for us. She was able to arrange for a private van which was very clean which carted us off to our wonderful day of the sites of split. Dubravka was funny, organized, professional, and even treated us to some of her favorite treats on our excursion. Her knowledge and her connections with sites helped us and made the day wonderful. I would highly recommend Dubravka. And to top off our wonderful day, one of our group members left his hat in the van.
