We did this tour with our 4 and 5 year old as well as their grandparents. Vasaliki was great at engaging everyone where they were at. The treasure hunt for the kiddos was a real motivator, and Vasalikis knowledge of the city allowed us to see gems we would never have had time or patience for if we were touring alone. We spent a wonderful first afternoon in Athens with Vasiliki. She planned a perfect tour, with many interesting stops throughout the neighborhoods of the city to learn about history, culture, art and more. Our kids liked her immediately and even though they were tired, they were completely engaged in all that she shared with us. We stopped for bites and treats at the perfect times, and the experience was really a great introduction to Athens with just the right blend of information and places to rest and take it all in. Wir hatten bei Vasiliki eine Führung zu Zweit zum Start in Athen. Es war eine richtig tolle Führung. Wir haben ohne Zeitdruck viele spannende Orte in Athen entdeckt, ein paar Wörter griechisch gelernt und eine super leckere Süßspeise kennengelernt. Die Führung war perfekt auf mich und meinen Sohn (10) ausgelegt. Vasiliki ist sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Unser Flug hatte Verspätung und Vasiliki hat die Tour statt am vereinbarten Treffpunkt direkt vom Hotel aus gestartet. Das war sehr hilfreich für uns. 100% Empfehlung!Es war toll!

Vasiliki was excellent. She met us on time at an easy to find spot and immediately engaged our two children ( aged 10 and 14). The tour took us through lots of areas of Athens that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. It was paced just right and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the city ( modern and ancient). We had an incredible tour with Vicky around Athens. Her knowledge of the city and hidden gems are incomparable. We did a family friendly food and walking tour which had perfect amount of walking and break stops. Each break stop included a food and drink component. We loved going to all of the different eateries and trying everything out. The highlight of the tour for our family would have been spice alley and the olive tasting. Wow! We (a couple with a 3 years old child) booked the Athens tour with Vasiliki for last Sunday. It was a really good experience to get to know the city from a local. Also the way she does it is very nice for children. Maybe our daughter was quite too young to understand the play. I think, from 4 years old would be better. We also got some recommendations from Vasiliki for the rest of the days in Athens and for our stay in Naxos. We recommend it!Great tour for families

Great walk through the city center. It is tailored not to be boring for kids, thus expect it to be lightweight. This was exactly what we have expected and needed. A recent excursion through Athens left us with mixed feelings. The tour showcased some interesting stops of the city but ultimately fell short of expectations. Our three-hour journey took us through graffiti-adorned walls, busy flea markets, the fish and meat market, and the iconic Parliament building. While the itinerary covered a diverse range of sights, the lack of a cohesive narrative made the experience feel disjointed at times. On the positive side, our guide provided insights into recent economic challenges faced by Greece, adding a contemporary perspective to our exploration. Additionally, she sprinkled in tidbits of ancient history, which was appreciated by our children who are fans of Greek myths. Despite these highlights, the information provided felt cursory, and the tour often seemed improvised rather than carefully planned. While the spontaneity had its charm, it left me longing for a more organized and engaging experience. I must commend our guide for her warmth and enthusiasm throughout the tour. Despite the shortcomings, her genuine passion for sharing her city with visitors was evident, and her efforts to make the experience enjoyable are appreciated. The visit to a cafe was a great hit with all the family. In conclusion, my tour with Withlocals offered glimpses of Athens that I might have otherwise missed, but it fell short of delivering a truly enriching experience. While the guide's charm and authenticity were notable, the overall lack of structure and depth left me feeling underwhelmed.Mixed Bag

We booked a tour hoping to see more than the main historic sites and typical attractions and to see more of Athens. Our kids are 4 and 6 so we looked for a tour that catered specially for children, hoping it would keep them interested. As soon as we met Vasiliki, the kids were engaged and excited to start. We got to experience things that you probably wouldn't do, if you were just walking around, and Vasiliki was so knowledgeable about all of the areas we visited, the graffiti, fish market and Greek donuts and ice cream being the highlights for the kids. All the information was presented so even our 4 year old was telling us about some of the facts the next day. We would definitely recommend this tour for families of any age, Vasiliki was a fantastic guide, thank you!Fun and engaging tour for the whole family

Theo was great at boy helping our boys learn and stay excited through a scavenger hunt, lessons on the gods, history lessons, and even local art and cultural curiosities. Weaving points of interest for both adults and kids, we toured 4 local neighborhoods and felt like we got a local’s personal touch. We especially loved Psyri and the little island neighborhood near the Acropolis. Plenty of recommendations and ideas to do after the tour as well. Include this tour easy in your trip and then choose what to do with your time left!Great way to see Athen’s neighborhoods

We booked a Colors & Myths Tour with Vasiliki because we wanted our kids to explore Athens from their view. The tour with Vicky was definitely worth it. Not only was she able to capture the attention of our kids during the whole time, we also explored a part of the city we would not have, without the tour and discovered an Athens besides the ruins. Besides that our kids loved to learn to write their name in Greek letters, taste Greek deserts and draw their own graffiti. Our family (myself, my husband, and 3 kids ages 8, 7 and 6) recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Colors & Myths of Athens: Family Friendly Tour led by the incredible Vasiliki, and I cannot express enough how much we all loved every moment of it. This tour was an absolute gem and provided an unforgettable experience for our entire family. Vasiliki's expertise and enthusiasm shone through right from the beginning. She began the tour by captivating the kids by teaching them a little Greek mythology. What made it even more special was that she encouraged each child to pick a god or goddess they wanted to be, and she adorned their hands with that character's symbol. This personal touch immediately sparked the kids' imaginations, and they were thrilled to be a part of the mythical world. Vasiliki then showed us with a scavenger hunt page that listed various items and hidden gems we would encounter during our walk - the kids loved being on the lookout trying to find each of these places! Vasiliki's ability to strike a perfect balance between walking and taking rest breaks with the kids was commendable. She ensured that we explored different neighborhoods and soaked in the vibrant atmosphere of the city, all while considering the energy levels of the little ones. Her thoughtfulness in incorporating breaks allowed us to enjoy the tour to the fullest without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. One of the standout moments of the tour was when we made a stop at a charming little shop. Here, the kids were treated to Greek donuts (loukoumades) and ice cream, which they absolutely adored. Our family really enjoyed our off the beaten path tour of Athens with Vasiliki. We scheduled our tour with her for the first day of our arrival. From a multi-generational Athenian family, she gave us a great overview of the city and, most important, the heart and soul of the people. She is deeply knowledgeable, outgoing and an a wonderful local ambassador for Greece. She held the attention of our teens (and us!) with great insights of current and ancient history, fun facts, a city-based scavenger hunt, a stop for a treat rewarded the earliest of Olympians (Lukamades), and so much more. We absolutely loved our tour with Vasiliki. We all learned loads and explored streets we wouldn’t have found without her. Our 7 year old son has ADHD and can be quite intense but he loved Vasiliki and the fact that we kept moving and didn’t stay in places too long. Vasiliki, was so patient with my wild and somewhat cranky boys! Our tour was at the end of a hot day walking in Athens, which wasn’t the best planning on our part, but when you only have one day you make it work. She was flexible, positive and high energy. Athens is huge. Any like any city it is often difficult to know where to start. So a 3 hour tour with Vasiliki is a perfect way to start. As we had two young boys with us of 7 & 9 we wanted to ensure that they wouldn’t be bored too. Vasiliki made the tour engaging for them from the start to finish and tailored the tour to meet their needs. We discovered some real gems and felt like we had seen some of the new and old on the tour. The boys are still talking about it now. I won’t spoil any of the details, but if you want a good intro to Athens and to keep the kids engaged, Viki the one to call! A must if in Athens!

Vicki shared some interesting tidbits about various parts of the city and also helped explain to my son the various gods in Greek mythology. Our tour with Vasiliki was a great introduction to the amazing City of Athens and a real highlight of our trip. We have a 2 Hours tour ( Colors & Myths of Athens: Family Friendly Tour ). For me and my family this tour is the best one , where my 6 year old daughter is fully engaged with some games and stories and along with that she makes sure we are also fully engaged. She showed us nice authentic amazing restaurants , Flea Markets and what is tradition in Athens , what gifts and souvenirs we can buy. Even she went the extra mile to help us buy some good Olives and Oils . Taught my daughter to write her name in Greek . This Special Tour for us , because till now what tour we taken its more focused on history but this is first time where our daughter enjoyed most and she first time start liking the place and love to walk along with that we see complete other side city which is more amazing than most of Tourist driven places and its happen only and only because of Charismatic and engaging skills of Vikki.
