Egle was very knowledgeable, kind and passionate about Madrid and the cities culture. She personalized the whole experience to what we wanted, even asking along the way if we wanted to change anything or try something other than what she suggested; it never felt like it was her way or no way. We tried so many things we would have never tried on our own and everything was delicious!! We even went back to some places again it was so good!! Matteo was a phenomenal guide. He had in-depth knowledge on the city, showed us delicious and unique food spots, and was very attentive to both dietary and allergy restrictions. Host was nice but the tour was lacking consistently on the vegetarian tapas options. Per description we expected 6 local tastings. We had 3 ( tortilla, plain olives , queso manchego). In addition the host showed us Torrons Vicens, a chocolate place that offers samples to anyone visiting. One of us didn’t drink alcohol, the two cocktails offered weren’t replaced in more food options either sadly. Overall not vegetarian friendly and poor price value. Not vegetarian friendly

Egle was a wonderful tour guide. She took us around so many points of interest in Madrid. She sensed our pace and adjusted to how my family and boys walked. She shared some history of the places we went to,, took pictures of us, pointed out great places to eat for meals and tapas and churros with chocolate. At the end of the tour she walked us over to a restaurant that she recommended for the type of food we wanted to it. She even called ahead to make sure they can seat us. She has a great personality and we enjoyed chatting with her during our tour. She is a gem! I high recommend her! Wonderful tour!

We had a great time exploring Chueca and Justicia with Mateo. He showed us the neighborhood and gave us a lot of interesting information about the history, architecture and daily life of the places. We went into interesting shops (chocolate! magic!), looked into hidden courtyards and had great conversations about life, music and the people of this part of the city. We know Madrid quite well, as we visit the city every year, but Mateo showed us a lot of things we did not know so far - 100% recommendable!Great tour with a lot of inside knowledge

We have done a food tour before using With Locals when we were in Rome so chose the same company again when visiting Madrid. Ariadna was the best tour guide we could have hoped for. Ari is friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Madrid in all of its aspects. We joined her for a food tour, having told her we were looking for "something different", having visited Madrid previously and been on previous food tours. She quickly determined what we wanted and then delivered. This was so much more than a food tour though, as she put many things into a historical context which was very helpful. We only had one day to explore Madrid and Ari was the perfect person to show us around! She created a custom food/city tour to help us see the best highlights of the city during our limited time. Ariadna was like an old friend showing Lyn and I a number of her favourite food spots. There’s much to be said of expectations. Since we were in Madrid, ours were high. How disappointed we were We were expecting off-the-beaten track food places what we got was the tourist food market. What we expected was some history and background to the different tapas, what we got was nothing at all. Not even that Spain has a long coastline rich in anchovies! Or that acorn-fed pigs produce the world famous Iberico hams. And lastly what we expected was some history and anecdotes of the areas we walked through the streets. What we got was a somewhat mute guide who commented only that Barquillo was gentrified only in the last 7 years. Fortunately ChatGPT was our friend and we located Spain’s first skyscraper ( Edificio Telefonica) and learned that the new Four Seasons was formerly the chairman’s office of Banco Santander. I will accept our group had some particular eating habits but this is an eating tour so one assumes that’s a routine obstacle to overcome. So I’m afraid she gets a one star, in the ongoing battle that is Woman/Man vs ChatGPT, Marianna’s performance scores one for the machines.Avoid.

Majo provided us with a great tour of the Prado! She conducted a tour that was chronological in order of the art, deftly moving us from gallery to gallery all over the museum. Her Art History knowledge and pointing out nuances and highlights of individual pieces provided us with a fascinating perspective on many famous Spanish artists, as well as life during those centuries. Maria is a fun and energetic guide which my family which includes 12 and 10 year old girls love so much. She understands that my girls couldn’t drink alcohol and would add an orange juice stop for them. My family and I really enjoyed the history and background of Spanish tapas. It was a lovely tour and amazing experience with Majo. Booked the Explore the Reina Sofia with a Local Guide somewhat last minute (as it was raining) and so glad we did. Eva was a wonderful guide. She definitely knows her art and history and took us all through the garden and museum. She was passionate about the pieces we saw and we appreciated her perspective!
