Overall, the tour was okay. We did the Kickstart to culinary Paris. We walked for about 20 minutes down Rue de Honare which is the luxury shopping street. Interesting, yet not why we were there and I don't care so much for fashion and designer stores, which we talked about for the 20 minute walk. During this 20 minutes, there were also no food stops, just to find out the first place was closed. I would have assumed the guide would know this in advance. During the tour, we stopped at only 3 places. First was Laduree, then a pastry shop, then charcuterie. so I was also expecting more stops, not many times at one stop. I would be unlikely to use this company again based off my experience. Not exactly what I expected

We had a flight cancelation and reached a day late. Nella was very understanding and rearranged the tour. My 10 year old was super tired with only an hour of sleep, yet Nella managed to engage him and showed us plenty in Montamarte to feel accomplished. Highly recommend. Fantastic

It would be difficult not to connect with Giedre. You'll delight in her joy of Paris' many hidden spots. More than once on the tour, we ducked from the busy main road into a magical courtyard the hurried passers-by missed entirely. Some of them, seeing her, did the same. They always had an expression of wonder that said, "I never knew this was here!" All our cares were gone, as we knew we were in good hands. Andrea's tour was a great intro to Paris. We hit several of the highlights, and he also took us to some places we never would've known about. For example, since we're from Philadelphia, he took us to see Benjamin Franklin's Paris office. We moved quickly to maximize our time, but didn't feel rushed. We booked our Montmartre tour with Max on a rainy and gloomy winter day. Max was a great sport, led us through hidden alleys and passageways. We stopped to warm up in churches and coffee shop. The area is spectacular and it helped to have a knowledgeable guide to discover gems off the beaten path. Maxime is a history and art buff, and will gladly engage in philosophical and cultural discussions. Book him if these subjects resonate with you too. This was our first time booking withlocals! I went with my intuition and booked with Anukool and I'm so happy I did. I saw that he had a love a history and so does my Husband. What I didn't know was that he also has a fashion degree which comes with its own history and is perfect for Paris! He was able to keep the attention of my Husband and my three teen girls. He even went out of his way to help us navigate the Paris Metro system, helping us buy our tickets to Versailles and Disney Paris. He suggested buying our return tickets at the same time so we didn't wait in a line when returning. Anakool has so much to offer with his world traveling, fashion background and his love of history. Friends who had recently been to Paris recommended Withlocals, and after looking through all the guides we decided to go with Giedre. She was excellent! She was waiting for us at the designated spot with a smile on her face, and spent just over 3 hours taking us on a personal walking tour through Paris, with some stops along the way to for some quick shopping or to grab a drink at our request. Her knowledge and passion about the history and architecture of Paris was apparent from the start, and she had a great ability to share the history and stories of all the places we passed in such an interesting way and answer our questions. It was really fun exploring Paris with a local, and she was full of helpful little tidbits of information, like when we took the Metro together to one spot she told us to make sure our pockets were zipped and our bags were held close because of pickpocketing, or took us to a street with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower that tourists don't frequent but where the locals like to go. She also shared some of her own personal recommendations for areas to visit, restaurants she loves, good places to buy posters or grab a cafe latte. She curated the tour a bit based on some of the things we wanted to see and do, and at the end dropped us off at an amazing cafe that won the award for the best croissants in Paris in 2023 where we had an incredible lunch. I would highly recommend Withlocals for an elevated experience touring Paris, and if you do a walking tour, you can't go wrong with Giedre. She's absolutely lovely and delightful and is sure to make your tour a wonderful afternoon in Paris. Amazing guide and experience

I feel awful giving a negative review, but I wish I had come across more critical reviews of this tour. All three people in my party were really disappointed with this tour. To give credit, Anukool was flexible and allowed for us to move along to the next spot if we weren't interested or extend if we wanted to stay longer in an area. He was *very* flexible. The stops on this tour were mediocre at best. We arrived hungry and the tour began with an overly sweet dessert from a popular chain, then we went to a quiche our guide bought at a window and we ate outside in the rain, and next was oysters. It didn't feel well thought-out regarding order of food and the quality was subpar. Furthermore, we expected to meet a local with a bubbly personality who may customize based on who we were and what we were interested in. Our guide was an expat who talked about the history and asked few questions. He was really knowledgeable, but for us, the tour fell flat. We really liked the area. Ultimately, we wanted to be captivated by our tour guide, have a generous amount of curiosity sparked on our end, and leave feeling like we ate foods we wouldn't have found on our own. Honestly, we expected a more for the money

We spent the afternoon wandering the streets of Montmartre with Nella. We had a fantastic artists view of the history of the suburb, which we really enjoyed and learnt about some of the more hidden aspects as well. We even popped into the local craft brewery which was a treat! It’s not always easy to keep a family of 5 ( kids 17,15,10), but Nella did a great job of chatting to each of us throughout the tour, making sure each of us got something out of it.
