With so many food options available in Venice, I wanted to have someone guide me through the street food options. Adair certainly managed that plus more. She weaved snippets of history into our conversations whilst savouring a variety of foods. Adair made navigating the alleyways look easy and we probably needed her the next day when revisiting one of the cafes! We booked Adair for a Food and drink Tasting tour in Venice. She was fantastic! We could not have made a better choice. She was warm and friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the food and the culture of the city. We had been to Venice before and wanted to see it from a different perspective. We also got to know a little about her personally which was delightful. We even stopped by her husband’s bar the next evening when we found ourselves wandering through the streets of Venice, looking for a place to eat. Her husband happily referred us to a wonderful local eatery. Obviously, the whole family is lovely. If we come back to Venice, Adair will be our first booking.Adair's Tour is wonderful!

Our afternoon with Alexandra was one of the highlights of our trip to Venice. She displayed incredible depth and knowledge of the traditional foods of Venice including where to find the local specialties and even how to prepare them. She also provided extensive information about the general culture and history of the city. Her enthusiasm about her home town increased our own appreciation for Venice and all it has to offer. It is likely that you will not need dinner, given the quality and quantity of the tastings.

Mina is knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and fun. He was a good guide for our teens who had already been a bit overloaded with history after touring Doge’s palace, St Mark’s basilica and the Bell Tower. He adjusted the tour accordingly. Mina has a vast knowledge of history and was happy to answer all questions. A tour with Mina made our visit more meaningful because he shared tons of Information that we would have missed on our own. We originally chose a different guide for this food tour. She canceled on us a day before and arranged for Mina to be our guide. For this reason the tour time changed. We only made two food stops. While we enjoyed everything and didn’t leave hungry, we expected this to be more of a food tour and less of a historical walking tour. I highly recommend Mina. But I was not thrilled with “With Locals” and the last minute change. Mina is a wonderful guide!

We were a group of six and all loved Claudia. She took us on a food tour that was both informative and delicious. She also pointed us to the Modern Art Museum and an out of the way gelato place (both in quiet neighborhoods). My son insisted on going out by himself in the evening to find the place Claudia had taken us to get more of the spinach lasagna. Claudia was great!

Claudia is a cheerful, knowledgeable, truley born Venezian, who guided us through her town on a Saturday morning. It felt not like a guide, who gives away the prepared story for another time, more as a friend, who is strolling with us through her quartier on a sunny day. We chatted about Venice becoming Venice, the structure of it, advantages and disadvantages of this unique place. The 2.5h passed by like nothing and we will know always be aware of Niklaus last rest, or maybe only tiny parts of him. In addition we will keep an eye on bell-tower forms and referring dates. We gained a competent inside of Dorsoduro, which means 'heard torso'. She left us at Scuola di San Rocco, which was the perfect and mind-blowing ending of a great tour. For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. While visiting Venice, I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Valerio for fish shopping at Rialto Market followed by home cooking in Murano. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary and truly authentic. We began our day at Rialto Market, selecting fresh, local ingredients under Valerio's expert guidance. From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. Claudia took us on a walking tour of the Dorsoduro area of Venice. She was lovely from the start and very knowledgeable. It was great to talk about Venice with a local guide who became more of a friend as the tour went on. We have visited Venice many times but we saw new things and learnt a lot from Claudia. Claudia provided an excellent tour for our group which included a good mix of history and other things interesting to the younger adults. Elena is a great storyteller and extremely engaging. Plus, she is a native with a worldview having left the city before. So she understands the nuances of being a Venetian and looking at the city through the lens of a tourist! She was also very informative, we had a great time, in spite of the December winter cold. She was also good with answering questions from my tween/ teenager and made sure we were comfortable whilst walking. I had studied The Merchant of Venice for literature - and Elena gave me the 101 on the key places mentioned in the book and even took us on a Traghetto boat ride! Highly recommend if you're looking to discover more about Venice through the eyes of a Venetian. Best way to immerse in Venice history!

We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. We had just arrived the previous day and were still getting up to speed. Needless to say, the tour was absolutely fascinating. We learned some very interesting facts about Venice as well as about Donna Leon and Brunetti's Venice. A most enjoyable 2 hours. If your a fan of Brunetti and visiting Venice, definetly look at this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Aside form the tour, Valerio was extreemly helpful in giving us some recommedations for restaurants and some things to do in Venice and Murano.
