Adriano was an outstanding guide! We had a private bike tour of Bari and he tailored it perfectly. Preparing in advance stops involving our favourites like cheeses, cold meats, focaccia and the best octopus and gelatos we’ve ever tasted! As well as local delicacies we’d not heard of! The bikes he provided were first class and the passion he has for his home town is infectious. We saw hidden gems of Bari we would never have experienced on our own. It was magical! What a wonderful and beautiful way to see a lovely city, by bicycle. Adriana provided beautiful and new equipment and willing adjusted the bikes for fit, Including a soft seat for me. The pace was perfect and safe. The stops at local attractions and explanations were spot on. Adriano is a very passionate and knowledgeable guide. Being a local means he has all the insider knowledge of places to eat and things to see. As I was a solo traveler, I booked my tour for the day I arrived, which was perfect as we walked around all the places that I would have time to go back to visit. It was also very good to know information about the things I revisited so I knew what to look for. I did try a lot of the places he recommended for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they were all fantastic. It was a 3 hour walking tour and we really did see some hidden gems it was a very enjoyable stroll through Bari and Adriano introduced us to places we wouldn’t found without him even a little Brewery for dinner. This was a great day for our two families. We had 5 kids with us and a few teenagers. Adriano did an amazing job of showing us hidden gems and giving us the history. Then the food——amazing!! Go hungry. We had trouble eating it all:) every bite was delicious. Worth every penny

Adriano was an incredible guide with an engaging personality and an obvious appreciation for the beautiful local culture. Given this, we had a fabulous 3 hour tour of the alleys of Bari as well as the area just outside of old town with French and more modern influences. Walking through the alleys of Bari, Adriano engages with the locals who are outside in their “living rooms” enjoying the community and some even making pasta! We also saw markets and enjoyed an amazing taste of local meat and cheeses. Highly recommend this experience with Adriano and the more personal With Locals tours.Excellent!

We asked Adriano for a custom tour of local neighborhoods instead of the typical tourist spots and he delivered a very special half-day walking tour. We started at the open air market where locals buy vegetables, seafood, and more. We walked by the train station, parks, university and theaters. He explained the historic evolution of the different areas of the city and highlighted different building styles. The best part was all of the local places that we visited where he knew the owners who welcomed us warmly as he explained how the family that owned the bakery actually drove McDonald's out of the countyside. We ate warm focaccia like locals on the go, toured a 100-year-old wine shop where they hid in the cellar during the war, and even visited the local shoemaker. He showed us the spot where he meets friends to listen to music, read a book or enjoy a beer. It was 100% unique and exactly what we hoped it would be. Wonderful tour of how locals live in Bari

We were fortunate to find Adriano. He was responsive. That is a big deal for us. We got the tour we wanted not a packaged presentation. We both had Barese grandparents and so a keen interest in the culture and customs and he was able to add richness to what we had been told. He brought us through the old city and gave us a picture of their way of life. We even got to meet a couple of them. He explained the later growth and showed us the life of the modern city. When my husband and I decided on going to Italy, we planned the places we wanted to visit. He then sent me on the quest to find the tours and places to stay. My wife and another couple we met on our ship, toured with Adriano 10/21/24. Adriano met us, at an easy place for us to find, in the city. From the time he introduced himself to the group, until he said goodbye, Adriano was passionate about his city. We walked and it seemed like on every block he met someone he knew and gave them a very impassioned Ciao. He spoke very clearly and ‘never missed a beat about every part of the city. My group felt like a local for two straight hours.
