Henrick was a little reserved at first whilst he was getting to know us. He was equally knowledgable about food, drink as well as the surrounding area which was the student area namely the Latin quarter. We went to three food establishments and ate cheese, ham and pate at the first restaurant, a creme brûlée at the second restaurant followed by a sweet pancake in the third restaurant. As I have a sweet tooth I steered us towards the sweet foods but the tour was flexible. Henrick’s English was very good as my French was very limited. Both my partner and me enjoyed the food tour. We had three experiences with guides, two were fantastic and one (this one) very poor... He was only interested in saving money, pushing us to always choose the cheapest options, modifying "by mistake" our preferences to save 50c, eating our cheeses and so on... A VERY POOR and squallid experience. We would suggest to choose any other guide instead of him, we met REALLY GREAT GUIDES in our other tours...Very poor experience

My wife and I did three tours with Juliette on our recent trip to Paris. I have reviewed the Foodie Montmartre tour separately. We also did Paris Like a Local and Bistrot Wine and Cheese. Juliette is everything you could want in a host. We felt immediately comfortable with her upon first meeting her, and by our last tour it was like we were enjoying an evening with a good friend. She far exceeded our expectations. She was full of knowledge and general advice on Paris and what to see/do during our trip. On our tours we saw and did things we absolutely would have missed on our own. Pick Withlocals and pick Juliette and I guarantee it will enhance your time in ParisJuliette was a FANTASTIC host

I was hoping not to have to write this review. I emailed with locals twice and never heard a reply back concerning the below. Jerome was very nice and very patient with us due to our delayed arrival with construction and street closures. Anyhow, what we paid for and what we received was completely different. Our host as friendly as he was he had absolutely no knowledge of cheese or wine. I mean none! We were suppose to have 3 wine pairing but had only two glasses of wine. We were suppose to have a meat platter and never received one. We also paid full price for our children so this was an expensive outing. Our host could not even give us a recommendation for dinner. We were so disappointed in this and the false advertising. I tried to contact with locals twice to simply ask for a refund of the food and wine we did not receive and never got a reply. So sadly this was a complete wast of hundreds of dollars, time and customer service. Wine and cheese pairing

We originally arrived at the wrong spot, but Jay was quick to come find us. My husband and I both love hearing about history and Jay was very knowledgable and excited to tell us what he knew about France’s long history. We appreciated his flexibility - when we were more excited about Camembert cheese than crepes, he modified the tour slightly to accommodate us. The Latin quarter is very nice and we would have not known it existed without being shown around. Overall, a wonderful time!Great night out with Jay!

We had a lovely walking tour of Montmartre with Olivia on a blustery September day. She was warm and genuine, very easy to talk to and full of information about the neighborhood including history and tips on places to eat, hear live music, get good coffee, etc. She showed us some of the major sights of the neighborhood including the house where Van Gogh lived, the Bateau Lavoir where Picasso had a studio, the beautiful 12th century church Saint-Pierre de Montmartre, and of course Sacré Coeur. We also stopped for a sweet treat and later for a coffee and conversation, and by the end of the tour we were sorry to say goodbye. Montmartre Walking Tour

Our guide, Thomas was an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable, friendly, informative and flexible. The rain was off and on and we made the best of doing inside visits to different buildings and landmarks in addition to walking through beautiful gardens and neighborhoods. Our first trip to Paris was unforgettable, thanks to Alexia! She gave us the perfect mix of history, culture, food, and fun. From Notre Dame and the Marais to Montmartre and the Eiffel Tower. Along the way, she introduced us to amazing local treats like Maison Georges Larnicol, Ladurée, and Les Merveilleux de Fred. We also stopped for shopping along the way and having Alexia with us for language assistance made it much easier. What really stood out was Alexia’s knowledge and passion. Every stop had a story, and she made the city come alive with details we never would have found on our own. She balanced sightseeing with hidden gems and gave us time to soak in each moment, whether it was strolling through a garden, enjoying lunch in Montmartre, or taking in the rooftop view at Galeries Lafayette. She knew which shops to go into and which to avoid. This was helpful in the pastry shops! She also helped us navigate the city and the different arrondissements. We never had to look at our phones for directions! Even more, she felt more like a friend than just a guide- warm, thoughtful, and fun to spend time with. For a first-time visit, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Alexia!1st time in Paris! Great experience!

Carlos was extremely accommodating to the specific locations my wife and I wanted to see. On the way to meet Carlos for our tour, I discovered I was another victim of a Paris Metro pickpocket. While I was careful to guard my wallet, holding on while standing exposed my holstered mobile phone. Carlos helped us get to the third police station to file a report (the first two claimed to be unable to do so) and to communicate with the authorities to facilitate this process. After we completed the report, we set about on the tour and Carlos helped us to take our minds off the potential consequences of the information possibly in the wrong hands. We benefited from his personable demeanor and knowledge of the sights we planned to visit. Anyone electing to choose Carlos should be more than pleased with that engagement. Carlos is a delight

We recently enjoyed a private tasting tour in Paris with our guide Andrea, and he was truly fantastic. He was personable, very knowledgeable, and we really appreciated his insights and friendly approach. Our time with him was enjoyable and engaging. However, the tour itself did not quite meet our expectations. I had purchased a 3-hour tasting tour that promised 10 tastings across Paris. While the experience started well with a quick bite at a local bakery, the focus quickly shifted to a history tour, and the next tasting didn't come until almost two hours later. Throughout the 3 hours, we only visited three places and sampled macarons, meats, cheeses, bread, and crepes. We were hoping for a more food-centric experience, with more tastings and less emphasis on walking and history. It would have been better clarified if the tour was advertised as a history walk with food stops, rather than a pure food tasting tour. Our kids also felt disappointed with the structure, expecting more emphasis on food. Overall, Andrea made the experience memorable, but the tour content did not fully align with what was promised or expected. We still enjoyed our time in Paris and appreciated Andrea’s company.Great guide, tour was not as expected

We loved our relaxing morning stroll with Alexia. She made us feel very comfortable and was super friendly. it was easy to find the meeting spot. We visited a shop to get ice cream and macrons, enjoyed viewing gardens and notable houses as well as St. Peter church and Village de St.Paul. She catered the tour to our requests and ended by taking us to Notre Dame area and gave us directions of how to best get to our next activity. We had a Pastry Tour with Andrea. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and also really tailored the tour to what we wanted to taste but also had a plan for some really delicious items he wanted us to taste.
