From the first minute of meeting Alpha, it felt like my wife and I knew her for years. We had amazing wine, cheese, meats, and local specialties of meat and seafood. Henrick was a little reserved at first whilst he was getting to know us. He was equally knowledgable about food, drink as well as the surrounding area which was the student area namely the Latin quarter. We went to three food establishments and ate cheese, ham and pate at the first restaurant, a creme brûlée at the second restaurant followed by a sweet pancake in the third restaurant. As I have a sweet tooth I steered us towards the sweet foods but the tour was flexible. Henrick’s English was very good as my French was very limited. Both my partner and me enjoyed the food tour. We had three experiences with guides, two were fantastic and one (this one) very poor... He was only interested in saving money, pushing us to always choose the cheapest options, modifying "by mistake" our preferences to save 50c, eating our cheeses and so on... A VERY POOR and squallid experience. We would suggest to choose any other guide instead of him, we met REALLY GREAT GUIDES in our other tours...Very poor experience

My wife and I did three tours with Juliette on our recent trip to Paris. I have reviewed the Foodie Montmartre tour separately. We also did Paris Like a Local and Bistrot Wine and Cheese. Juliette is everything you could want in a host. We felt immediately comfortable with her upon first meeting her, and by our last tour it was like we were enjoying an evening with a good friend. She far exceeded our expectations. She was full of knowledge and general advice on Paris and what to see/do during our trip. I was hoping not to have to write this review. I emailed with locals twice and never heard a reply back concerning the below. Jerome was very nice and very patient with us due to our delayed arrival with construction and street closures. Anyhow, what we paid for and what we received was completely different. Our host as friendly as he was he had absolutely no knowledge of cheese or wine. I mean none! We were suppose to have 3 wine pairing but had only two glasses of wine. We were suppose to have a meat platter and never received one. We also paid full price for our children so this was an expensive outing. Our host could not even give us a recommendation for dinner. We were so disappointed in this and the false advertising. I tried to contact with locals twice to simply ask for a refund of the food and wine we did not receive and never got a reply. So sadly this was a complete wast of hundreds of dollars, time and customer service. Wine and cheese pairing

We originally arrived at the wrong spot, but Jay was quick to come find us. My husband and I both love hearing about history and Jay was very knowledgable and excited to tell us what he knew about France’s long history. We appreciated his flexibility - when we were more excited about Camembert cheese than crepes, he modified the tour slightly to accommodate us. The Latin quarter is very nice and we would have not known it existed without being shown around. Overall, a wonderful time!Great night out with Jay!

We did a 3 hour food/tasting tour of the Saint-Germain des pres area with Alexia and enjoyed it very much! We got to see and hear about many places that we would have never discovered on our own. Alexia was very knowledgeable about the area, was an engaging speaker, and asked about our preferences to ensure we were all interested in the things that she covered during the tour. We took the Pastery tour with lovely Alexia who skillfully guided us between hidden spots, bakeries and parks in an interesting and fun way. The challange was not the easiest, really warm weather and us already starting the day with another tour and on the day of the festival "the day of the music", that brought half of Paris to the streets, Alexia had done her homework in advance, having multiple bakery options, in case of pasteries beeing sold out and even replanning on the go for a ice cream stop in the heat by choosing the lesser known location to avoid the huge lines at the main shop. The thing that really stood out with the tour was the truely great effort and huge heart Alexia showed during the tour and doing so in a genuin way that made it feel like beeing shown around by a friend. We had a wonderful afternoon with Alexia amongst delicious pastry, magical surroundings and streets filled with music. Choose a few hours, an afternoon or a full day with Alexia showing you arround, you woun´t regret it!Fun guidance with alot of heart and effort

Afterwards, she provided a useful list of recommendations which we used for walking, dining, and shopping. This tour was satisfactory but didn’t blow us away. Our guide, Anukool was friendly and had some great historical knowledge. However, we had to put him back on track a few times as he would drift into conversation about sports or travel elsewhere, we really wanted to learn as much as possible about the St. Germain area and the tour was a bit loose / not structured. Anukool also arrived 15 minutes late and we ran almost an hour over time. Which was fine but might’ve left people who had later plans not getting the full experience. Walking tour. Latin District

Carlos was my guide to see Notre Dame. It was easy to meet him there, since he was attentive and responsive to texts. He was very helpful and thoughtful in making it easy for me to navigate the crowds on my mobility scooter. He taught me a lot about Notre Dame’s history and restoration. He explained the artwork in all the chapels and even sat with me to pray for a few minutes in front of the Crown of Thorns. I couldn’t have asked for a more thorough or interesting tour! We had an excellent tour of the Musee D’Orsay with Henrick. It is obvious that he is extremely knowledgeable about art and history and the city of Paris and he is able to communicate his knowledge in a way that is engaging and lively and genuinely fun. I did the tour with my two teenagers. It is a testament to Henrick and his communicative style that even my teenagers were completely engaged and left the museum with a true appreciation for the art that we were able to see. I would absolutely recommend Henrick and the next time we are in Paris we will specifically request him for any tours that we do. We loved our Mountmarte tasting, walking tour for 3 reasons: 1- Alexia, what a gem! And a true local, she was knowledgeable and gave us so many experiences we would never have known on our own. 2- the tastes! Again, nothing we would have known to try as visitors, and new and different things then i’ve tried before. Great balance of sweet and savory. 3-Anecdotes and history, alongside incredible views and sights. Incredible way to experience the city!
