Teo gave us a very informative tour of the gothic quarter. She took us into shops and explained the history/unique architecture of places the average tourist would walk by, and have no idea the historical significance or story of that spot is. This is the only type of tour you can get from a local, that really knows Barcelona. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip, so you can return to places you saw on tour that you would like to spend more time at. Informative - not your typical tour!

Our host was a great guide for the area of the Gothic quarter and Jewish quarter, with a wonderful grasp of the history from the Romans to today. My husband and I enjoyed the "backstory" on the various neighborhoods, houses, cathedrals, and castles we passed, with lots of opportunities to take photos. As this was a fantastic first experience with this type of city guide, I will definitely sign up again with other guides!First time with locals!

Hi Teo I just want to thank you for an excellent tour of Barcelona - we learnt so much about the areas we visited and saw things we would never have found if we hadn’t have been with - both bookshops with cafe and restaurant were one of our highlights. A. Teo was really kind to rearrange the date of our tour last minute because I was unwell. She was an informative and friendly guide who showed us some of the secrets of Barri Gotic and El Born, including great pastry shops. It wasn’t as indepth about the history of the city compared to other tours we’ve been on elsewhere, but we learnt about Catalan culture and had an enjoyable time. Interesting tour of the old town

We found Teo on the web. We told her in advance we were particularly interested in medieval and Judaic history in Barcelona. She took us into places we would never have found or known of. We wandered all over the medieval section of the city -- I would have been lost trying to see all the places she took us to. Her English and knowledge of history are excellent. Our tour with Teo was wonderful! Teo is a warm and engaging tour guide and my husband and I both enjoyed her so much. She taught us quite a lot about Barcelona and pointed out many things which we had not realized. She clearly loves her city and she is a delight to talk to. Teo also made sure that we had several places to go to enjoy an authentic meal. She gave several suggestions and we were able to enjoy some of them with our limited time in the city. Not only did Teo teach us about the Catalan culture and history, she showed us the inviting and loving nature of the Catalan people as she included our young children in each aspect of her tour. Would recommend. Esp for new comers to Barcelona or history / architecture nerds. A. Teo. is incredibly well-informed, flexible, fun & funny, and is a seemingly bottomless font of Barcelona and Gothic Quarter knowledge, have grown up there. Being our first time in Barcelona we knew we wanted to do a tour to understand the history of the city and it was so nice to get it from a locals perspective. Teo gave so much colour to the tour around the gothic quarter pointing out things you’d normally just walk past. We also had the best churros in the city to fuel our adventure. We did a private tour of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona with A. Teo and it was great. My husband and I are 74 and 71 years old and both use a walking cane. We loved this personalized tour that went at our speed and we could ask questions about things that interested us. She was very knowledgeable and spent extra time with us without extra charges.
