My husband and I met with Alessandro near to where we were staying at his suggestion which was very helpful. He showed us lots of things we would have missed without his help. We enjoyed tasting some wine and nibbles while we chatted and explored Verona, we would have book another tour if we were in Verona again. Alessandro also gave us plenty of ideas for restaurants, coffee shops and bars. He was easy to contact to arrange our meet up.friendly, good company and full of facts

Alessansro was a great host, he guided us round Verona and pointed out so many things that only a local could tell you. The pizza and wine was amazing and on his recommendation, with his expert ordering we finished the evening with the most amazing tortellini. Grazie Pizza, wine and Tortellini 👍

We were given 3 fried items at one locale to eat. Not very interesting or imaginative. No variety of places at all. We had a spritz ( our choice) and we were offered one other glass of wine. That was all. We were shown the good tortellini place - but no offer of any tortellini. This was an expensive tour and was not worth it. We were disappointed . Also, you should suggest that your guides not dress in an old sweatshirt. Not worth the money!

Wir, zwei Paare aus Österreich haben uns gleich nach unserer Ankunft in Verona mit Martina am Piazza Erbe getroffen, wo wir sofort in die bewegte Geschichte Veronas eingetaucht sind, bei einem schönen Spaziergang durch die wunderschöne Stadt haben wir immer wieder Rast bei reizenden Lokalen gemacht, wo wir köstliche Häppchen und guten lokalen Wein probieren konnten. Auf besondere Vorlieben wurde im Vorfeld Rücksicht genommen. Martina war mit ihrer erfrischenden Art wirklich eine Bereicherung, hat auch einiges von ihrem Familienweingut erzählt, es war auch hilfreich, dass sie uns einige Tipps zu Lokalen und Aktivitäten in Verona geben konnte. So haben wir uns von Anfang an in der Stadt zurechtgefunden und wir würden es jederzeit wieder genauso machen! Our guide ,Manuel, was super accomodating, helpful and knowledgable and made us enjoy our day trip to Verona. The restaurant that he recommended for lunch, Trattoria Fluviale Vecio Mulin, was so good and tucked away, as only a local would know as it was what we wanted. We enjoyed the view of the river and the castle while enjoying the great food. Our trip to Verona is indeed made memorable with Manuel as our guide.In love with Verona

We booked a day trip to Lake Garda and the surrounding area with Alessandro on February 13 25, He was prompt to the hotel and our journey was on. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, it was foggy and drizzly. But Alessandro did his best to keep us entertained. We stopped at several villages and took in the history of the area. We concluded our day trip with a tour of a local Winery, what a great way to finish the day. I would do another tour with Alessandro,he is knowledgeable,courtesy and helpful. We met Manuel at the Porta Borsari and immediately felt welcome and at ease. He delighted us with facts about Verona, its history, lifestyle and customs. Our tour took us to the main attractions in the old part of the city and a wonderful selection of wines and tasty foods. Manuel was friendly and knowledgeable and even sent us recommendations for wineries and restaurants as we travel further into the Dolimites. We had a great time on this tour. Manuel was super informative and engaging. Each stop was filled with good food and rich history and I would highly recommend him as a guide. This Verona food and walking tour is a beautiful experience. The guide took us through the city’s streets, stopping at authentic places where we could taste typical things from Verona. The wine tasting was incredible and included 3 of the best Valpolicella wines. It’s an excellent way to explore the city and the traditions, highly recommended for a taste of true Verona!Beautiful day in verona

I had a last minute oppurtunity to tour Verona and Alex happened to be available. He catered the tour to the flow of questions and time allowance we had. It was a great mix of history, food, and of course he even mixed in some wine. Alex knows his city and wasted no time navigating from one point to another. He even has a few tricks up his sleeve to find access to places that may not be so easily accessible. I had a great time spending the afternoon with Alex and I am sure you will too!Great custom tour

Christina was super nice and a great host and took us to some cool little local spots and we enjoyed some simple fare from caffe to bruschetta, to arancini, to Campari spritz, and a few other good bites. Nothing extraordinary in the culinary department but overall just what we wanted in a quick tour of Verona for our first time in the city. During our evening walk we managed to take in many of the sights including Juliette’s balcony and we passed by the Basilica di Santa Anastasia, Piazza dei Signori, Castelvecchio, the Arena de Verona, and several other historical gems within a stone’s throw of the Roman gate (cloaked for renovations). Grazie!A great walk and some tasty bites!

terrific tour. we only visited family run activities: a bakery, a local trattoria where the chef does all days his fresh pasta (we had the one with truffle ) AND A NICE VINERIA where we hada great introduction to the wine regions around verona. our guide Virginia was amazing. she knows a lot of the story, her city, wines and more. she gave us tickets fort the cable car, too. where there is a stunning view of the city. great dayvery local and tailor made tour in verona

We just returned from an amazing tour of the Verona area with Virginia and Sara as our guides. Their knowledge of all things Italian is simply perfect...history, local highlights of Verona as well as further away "things not to miss" in the Veneto region, making of Parmesano Reggianno, balsamic vinegar not to be believed all combined to make our visit unforgettable. We have been on a lot of tasting tours in various cities. We do it as a way to acclimate ourselves. Alessandro’s tour wasn’t the typical where you eat something, walk a couple blocks, eat something else. He took us out on the town in his city. He showed it to us as a proud son of Verona, imbuing history and coloring it with the personal. We did duck into places to try a nibble here or sit down in one place to try several bites. One eatery he wanted to showcase wasn’t open, but it was okay. He gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay—many of which we tried. His recommendations were spot on. Do yourselves a favor when you come to Verona and book an evening tour with Alessandro. He will set you up for success for the rest of your trip.The best first night in Verona

Our tour guide was not available on the day, but sent another “Maria” in her place which was kind of her. Our Maria was an absolute delight from the moment we met her. We learned so much about the history of Verona, from the Romans to the families who influenced the culture and customs under various rulers and factions. We met Alessandro on a very rainy day for a tour of Verona. He took us to some amazing places, including a very old wine shop, fantastic pizza (the best we've had in Italy), and all of the important sites. Alessandro showed us his favorite places in addition to his childhood school. He was very interesting, fun, and knowledgable. Martina picked us up at our apartments and drove us to the Valpolicella region where we enjoyed tastings at two different wineries. Martina, being from a wine-making family, had great background knowledge of the area and the processes in the vineyard and the winery leading to the production of the final product. An enthusiastic, interactive and genial host, Martina was able to convey the knowledge in a complete way and increased our understanding of the different requirements to produce the finished products emanating from the region. We went to her friends winery first and had an introductory wine tasting, paired with local cheeses and meats (yummy!), then on to Martina's family winery wit more exploration of the processes and tastings of their selected wines (excellent). But not only the wine - before we returned to Verona we were treated to a scenic tour through the hills overlooking Verona, including the views from a retreat/ monastic area which were spectacular. All in all a wonderful excursion into the world of wines in this region. Wir (2 Personen) haben am 06.09.24 eine wundervolle kulinarische und zeitgeschichtliche Reise durch Verona gemacht. Begleitet wurden wir von Martina, die perfekt auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist. Sie hat uns viel über Verona historisch und neuzeitlich erzählt. Es war eine sehr entspannte Zeit (4 h). Wir hatten im Vorfeld ein paar mal gechattet und schon war alles perfekt. Da wir weder fließend italienisch noch englisch sprechend sind, war für uns die perfekt deutschsprachige Martina ein unglaubliches Glück. Alessandro came up with a fantastic personalised tour of Monte Baldo and its beautiful forests and mountain scenery and then we went along the shoreline of Lake Garda. Starting at the dramatically beautiful north end of the lake, down to the more popular and picturesque southern villages. He was informative and friendly and knew the best views, gelato stops, prettiest towns and food spots along the way.
