Lucia was a wonderful guide. She managed to make the visit to St Mark's and the Doge's palace highly enjoyable for all family members. We all learned a lot and had a great time. Lucia was terrific. We had a group with a wide range of ages including kids ages 7 to 13. Her tour is set up to be engaging with children, and they stayed engaged for several hours. It was also informative for the adults. I would highly recommend her especially for families. I’d love to come back to do some of her art tours for myself - another time!Excellent kid friendly tour!

We had an incredible time learning everything about the Doge's Palace and their history. Lucia's fascinating knowledge was share in such a bright and entertaining way that our time flashed by. You can feel just how much Lucia loves her city and she imparted that love to us and our kids so that we were just as swept up in it. We had an amazing time exploring the Doge’s Palace and San Marco’s with Lucia! She was fantastic with our 8 year old son and kept him engaged the entire time. We learned so much about the Republic of Venice and origins of the basilica. I would highly recommend her to anyone traveling to Venice!!!

We loved every second of our tour with Lucia. Our boys, 5 and 3, were captivated by her within minutes. She planned little activities and games to get them excited to see and learn about the History of Venice, the Doges, and the secrets of the palace art and architecture. She listened eagerly to their thoughts and questions. They really connected with her and were eager to hear her next challenge to find something. My 5 year old wanted me to add to this review “This was the BEST TOUR EVER! And Lucia was the nicest and kindest girl I ever met” and my 3 year old added “I loved finding the golden lions!” The time flew by as we were all having so much fun. I have done several “for kids” tours over several Italian cities, but the tour of St Mark’s Bascillica and Doges Palace was by far the best ever! Lucia was friendly and full of ways to engage my 8 and 10 year old granddaughters in both the history and beauty of both. This was my 4th tour of both places, and I even picked up new knowledge! An incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and patient guide, Lucia made our family feel right at home. I booked the Doge palace tour with Lucia while in Venice for my dear friend and our kids (11 & 8) It was a miserable day high tide but we made the best of it. We had a fantastic time with Lucia when she took us around San Marco and the Doge’s Palace. She had booked the skip the line tickets for us, which helped to maximise our time together. Lucia was great with our 8 and 10 year olds and they were engaged by the mystery she had prepared for kids. Our family of eight was rather tired.. arriving late the night before . It can be difficult to tour in Venice sometimes because of the heat.. I had been with my children several times and now with my grandchildren, 4 ....the youngest of whom is 6. He did not want to go... Lucia changed his mind quickly.. she got him engaged and everyone joined in a treasure hunt.. he asked questions and she very patiently replied. My older grandchildren 9-14. For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. It is necessary to tell our story, but Lucia's tour will be meaningful to non-Jewish visitors too. The experience is a first-hand view through the eyes of a Venice local. Below is a question about Price-value rating. This is not your typical tour experience, and in my opinion, worth every dollar, eruo or shekel.Passionate Lucia

We had a great time with Lucia in the Scuola Grande San Rocco. She’s great company and hugely knowledgable. Despite having read up quite a lot before hand, we learnt lots of new things. She’s very good at interpreting the paintings as well as telling you about the history. Our sense was that she was particularly good at being able to adapt what she says to the existing knowledge of her audience, which we found really helpful. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our tour with Lucia. In the days leading up to the tour she shared suggestions on areas of Venice to visit, restaurants, and arranged for free private tour of a glass factory on Murano. She responded very quickly to all my questions, bought skip the line tickets well in advance, and confirmed our arrangements in advance so I wouldn’t worry. The tour itself exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge about the Basilica, Palace and history of Venice was impressive and so very interesting. Having a private tour is the way to go and trust me - you want to book in advance to make sure Lucia is available. You will be so thankful you did!Amazing Tour with Lucia!

We had the lovely Lucia show us around Venice. The kids, aged 9 & 11, put this as a top highlight of the trip. Lucia was passionate, knowledgable and kept the kids engaged in the 2.5hr tour. Lucia was great telling us about the history of the Jewish ghetto and the synagogues . We got to tour 2 synagogues as well as go to an amazing artist's shop. This was the second tour of the day with Lucia. She has so much knowledge and was wonderful to hear many interesting stories about some of the women who were important in Venice's history. Lucia was the perfect guide for my 3 teenage grand daughters and myself. Her warm and friendly personality, enthusiasm and sense of humour were an instant hit. We learnt so much about the hidden side of Venice while walking around her special areas … looking for clues, spotting features & collecting information. She brought the history alive by mixing her knowledge with her sense of fun, unusual facts and a treasure hunt. Visiting a Venetian Atelier at the end of the walk and painting our own masks was magical and gave us the best souvenir to take home from Venice. We had a fantastic experience with Lucia! She is an absolutely amazing tour guide who knew so much about the Jewish Ghetto. We could tell as she took us around the area how knowledgeable she was and how passionate and proud she was of this small but historic neighborhood. Our entire group were enthralled with Lucia’’s Venice biennale Collateral art venue tour! She set the stage with some important historical facts and encouraged us to see the Accademia artworks to provide a basis for the contemporary art we were about to see. We were taken to off the track places providing a range of different Biennale artworks and also venues that were special in their own right. Favourites were the art school installation and the Nigerian Pavilion. Lucia gave us some tips of venues to see beyond the tour. Lucia gave a tour from an authentically Venetian perspective and her love for the city shone through. We could not recommend her more highly!Lucia blew us away!

We had the fortune to have a private walking tour of the neighborhoods of Venice with Lucia. She was such a wonderful host and took us to some beautiful places around Venice. We had been to Venice before and seen the major sites so having the opportunity to see the neighborhoods was exactly what we wanted. We have just returned from our latest visit to our favourite city of Venice. As part of this we booked a trip with Lucia in order to explore and understand the origin and history of the Ghetto area. Our two hours with her flew by and she was able to give a much greater grasp of how and why the area was established and how it developed over the centuries. She was knowledgeable, passionate, engaging and charming and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and adding to our knowledge of Venice. She also gave us an insider tip to locate a ‘secret’ garden in Canareggio from which we were able to get a stunning view out over the lagoon on a crisp bright December day. As part of our conversation we were able to let Lucia know that one of the heroes of the Unification of Italy has a biscuit named after him in the UK…….we shall be sending some to her shortly! A Wonderful Experience!

Lucia provided an educational and fun tour for our family (kids aged 6, 6, and 10). We’ve been on several tours as a family and this was the one the kids voted best (and now they are convinced they want to move to Venice when they are older!) Hi, this is not the first tour of the Getto with Lucia, done the same thing 2 years ago but this time with Granddaughters and I wanted them to learn as well as seethe place. They were both enthralled and as last time she has the ability to make it 3D.
