From the first minute of meeting Alpha, it felt like my wife and I knew her for years. We had amazing wine, cheese, meats, and local specialties of meat and seafood. Henrick was a little reserved at first whilst he was getting to know us. He was equally knowledgable about food, drink as well as the surrounding area which was the student area namely the Latin quarter. We went to three food establishments and ate cheese, ham and pate at the first restaurant, a creme brûlée at the second restaurant followed by a sweet pancake in the third restaurant. As I have a sweet tooth I steered us towards the sweet foods but the tour was flexible. Henrick’s English was very good as my French was very limited. Both my partner and me enjoyed the food tour. We had three experiences with guides, two were fantastic and one (this one) very poor... He was only interested in saving money, pushing us to always choose the cheapest options, modifying "by mistake" our preferences to save 50c, eating our cheeses and so on... A VERY POOR and squallid experience. We would suggest to choose any other guide instead of him, we met REALLY GREAT GUIDES in our other tours...Very poor experience

My wife and I did three tours with Juliette on our recent trip to Paris. I have reviewed the Foodie Montmartre tour separately. We also did Paris Like a Local and Bistrot Wine and Cheese. Juliette is everything you could want in a host. We felt immediately comfortable with her upon first meeting her, and by our last tour it was like we were enjoying an evening with a good friend. She far exceeded our expectations. She was full of knowledge and general advice on Paris and what to see/do during our trip. I was hoping not to have to write this review. I emailed with locals twice and never heard a reply back concerning the below. Jerome was very nice and very patient with us due to our delayed arrival with construction and street closures. Anyhow, what we paid for and what we received was completely different. Our host as friendly as he was he had absolutely no knowledge of cheese or wine. I mean none! We were suppose to have 3 wine pairing but had only two glasses of wine. We were suppose to have a meat platter and never received one. We also paid full price for our children so this was an expensive outing. Our host could not even give us a recommendation for dinner. We were so disappointed in this and the false advertising. I tried to contact with locals twice to simply ask for a refund of the food and wine we did not receive and never got a reply. So sadly this was a complete wast of hundreds of dollars, time and customer service. Wine and cheese pairing

We originally arrived at the wrong spot, but Jay was quick to come find us. My husband and I both love hearing about history and Jay was very knowledgable and excited to tell us what he knew about France’s long history. We appreciated his flexibility - when we were more excited about Camembert cheese than crepes, he modified the tour slightly to accommodate us. The Latin quarter is very nice and we would have not known it existed without being shown around. Overall, a wonderful time!Great night out with Jay!

Alpha planned us an amazing tour of Montmatre (the hill). The food was naturally great, but what made the experience was Alpha’s genuine knowledge and insights. She grew up in the area and provided us with real neighbourhood colour. Would 100% recommend the tour …and it was a hit with our 12 year old daughter also: her highlight of our stay in Paris. It would be difficult not to connect with Giedre. You'll delight in her joy of Paris' many hidden spots. More than once on the tour, we ducked from the busy main road into a magical courtyard the hurried passers-by missed entirely. Some of them, seeing her, did the same. They always had an expression of wonder that said, "I never knew this was here!" All our cares were gone, as we knew we were in good hands. My husband and I did a 10 tasting walking tour of Montmartre with Alpha. I had done a group tour years ago and wanted to try a private tour, this time with my husband. We were not disappointed! She was fun, engaging and stuffed us with so many local treats we couldn’t finish them all. Andrea's tour was a great intro to Paris. We hit several of the highlights, and he also took us to some places we never would've known about. For example, since we're from Philadelphia, he took us to see Benjamin Franklin's Paris office. We moved quickly to maximize our time, but didn't feel rushed. My family of 5 recently had a food tasting tour of Saint-Germain with our tour guide, Alpha. There was a slight hiccup with the meeting time so our tour started an hour late, but once it began, Alpha was a very gracious guide. She took us to many local establishments in Saint-Germain to sample classic French foods such as macarons, escargots, chocolate, cheeses, pastries and wine. We did not need to eat dinner after the tour, that's for sure. In fact, we went to places that I had on my Paris wish list (such as Le Bon Marche) so I was able to check a few off my list early. We enjoyed our tour very much, and would certainly recommend booking Alpha if you are interested in getting a taste of Paris.Food Tour of Saint-Germain

We had gotten to Paris and it was beautiful and all but it still felt dull. Carlo’s did a great job of bringing the city to life through its rich and long history.
