Leider war die Tour das Geld nicht wert. Jack's Englisch war für uns (obwohl wir gut Englisch sprechen) kaum oder nur sehr schwer zu verstehen. War aber nicht schlimm, weil Jack uns im Grunde nichts erzählte. Wir marschierte vorweg, wir versuchten ihm mühsam im Gedränge von Chinatown zu folgen. Neue Information erhielten wir kaum, auf Fragen ging er kaum ein. Außerdem bot er uns nach kurzer Zeit an, die Tour zu beenden, weil am Vortag des chinesischen Neujahrsfestes in ChinaTown ohnehin alles geschlossen wäre (und - wo unsere Vermutung - er selbst lieber zurück nach Hause wollte). Warum bestätigt er diese Tour an diesem Abend, wenn das ein ungeeignetes Datum ist? Statt dessen überreichte uns zwei (ohnehin kostenlose) Tickets für eine öffentliche Veranstaltung in den Gardens by the Bay. Zu der Veranstaltung konnte er uns wenig sagen. Wegen seiner schlechten Zeitplanung konnten wir dorthin nur noch mit dem Taxi fahren. In Summe die schlechteste Tour ever mit einem unseres Erachtens ungeeigneten Guide - trotz seines offiziellen Tour Guide Zertifikats.Mega-Flop

The guide Ronnie was nice and knowledgeable about the tour but it was not what we expected. There was also a lot walking involved which was not mentioned in the description of the tour! We would not have taken the tour had we known that beforehand. This was in food tour category but was lacking in food. Beverages were only non alcoholic and no other options. Tour description said non alcoholic was available not that it was the only option. If classed as a walking tour Ronnie was very good at his knowledge and was an enjoyable person to interact with. Grayson's tour was a very positive experience for us. Even though we had another Singapore tour earlier that day, Grayson gave us a more complete picture of the Singapore culture. While the tour was a food/drink tour, i think it focused as much on explaining the local culture, history, and customs. The only drawback on the tour is that there was a great deal of walking through areas that weren't of much interest. All in all, I would highly recommend Grayson's ability to communicate clearly and knowledgeably.Very knowledgeable guide.

We wanted to understand local food in Singapore; pictures of food in hawker markets doesn’t help in knowing what they actually are made of. So Grayson gave us a walking tour of a local (non tourist) area, we learned about social housing, why markets always have Malay, Peranakan, Chinese and Indian options and that eating out can be cheap, tasty and fun.Local colour, local food.

Sadly, our tour started in a market that was closed, he found one stall open and started listing off vegetables that were there. He took us to a closed museum after we ate a few chicken skewers and then we walked through a community that he knew absolutely no one in. A sample of the 10 local cuisines were deep friend bananas, a cold deep fried pie, soup, a drink, a curry with a slice of potatoes in it, a jelly coconut ball and my husband I were not even given our own dishes, we had to share what was ordered.... even the tiny piece of potato. Our guide was nice enough, but truly, I want a refund. Don't waste your money

I visited Singapore by myself for a short weekend trip and found myself at a loss regarding what to do on my second evening there. Leo was available at short notice for an evening food tour and so I took my chance and made a booking. I was not disappointed. Leo is a very polite and knowledgeable host who went out of his way to make my tour the best for me. He took into account what I would find interesting and took me to a great variety of food stalls and small shops which worked perfectly for me. As a single woman travelling on my own, I felt perfectly comfortable and at ease at all times and Leo even made sure I would find my way back safely. He is very knowledgable and didn't grow tired of my many questions about Singapore and its food culture. Leo's tour definitely made my trip great!Leo is a fantastic host

HJ gave us a wonderful introduction to many of the signature foods that Singapore has to offer. In addition to selecting dishes for us to try, HJ gave background information about each item and the culture behind it. Moreover, between eating destinations we saw many sites and were given detailed information about the neighborhoods, cultures, and city more generally. The quality and variety of food was great, and we finished the tour feeling very full. HJ was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and we would recommend him to others considering this tour. Doing the food tour with Monica went better than I had expected. We felt like we got the "true local" tour with her. We went to places we never would have known about as tourists, ate foods and learned about their history, and also learned so much about Singaporean and Peranakan culture. My husband and I were in Singapore for 36 hours on a long layover and booked this tour with Ronnie before we left on our trip. Ronnie was very communicative and kept in touch with us before we left the states and right when we arrived in Singapore. Ronnie is full of knowledge, super funny, and took the best photos of us on our tour. The tour included amazing Instagram photo opps! We walked a lot, and Ronnie gave us so much cultural, historical, and social information that really blew us away! We ate a variety of very interesting and delicious food and Ronnie had us eating a bit, and walking in between tastes. A little bit of shopping time was included and my husband bought a very cool shirt in an affordable market. Ronnie does other tours too and I wish we had enough time to stay and have him show us around more of the city. We highly recommend Ronnie and his excellence in creating an unforgettable experience for us. My husband and me were so lucky to having a private tour with Leo. Leo proved to be a very charming knowledgeable passionate guide, who was very generous with sharing his knowledge. And we learned about the history of the one or other European dish as well: the pastry for the miners 😎. The evening started with delicious roti with curry, the pie and fried bananas, eaten in an neighborhood stall. Excellent. But the good stuff kept coming. It was wonderful to getting to know more about the tremendous variety of the Singapore ‚fusion‘ cuisine! But one of the highlights was for sure the outstanding seafood laksa with the very richly flavoured fishcake. Not only for this one we‘ll retrace our steps. The evening went by in a breeze and Leo graciously spent a good amount of ‚overtime‘ with us and took even the pain to join the bus ride to bring us back safely to our hotel! We have just finished a wonderful walking tour through Gardens of the Bay with Marcus and cannot express how happy and satisfied we felt after the tour. We chose tour in order to learn about the colonial history of Singapore. Grayson was an excellent guide and certainly did not disappoint us. William was excellent throughout our tour. 3 adults and three teenagers, he was excellent with all of us. A Malay breakfast as well as tours through Little India and the Hawker centres of Chinatown, it was a fantastic introduction to Singapore. As well as the food he was so keen to ensure we had a great stay in Singapore and was full of ideas for the rest of our trip. Our family had a great time with Kang! He is very knowledgeable about the past and stories of Singapore and loves to share his knowledge. Kang was really thoughtful and flexibly adapted the tour for my children, finding interesting activities for them and making sure they were comfortable in the hot, humid weather. Our tour with Grayson was simply fantastic. From the moment we were greeted by Grayson at our meeting place we knew we were in for a brilliant 3 hours. Grayson was superb. He was punctual, super informative, full of local information in addition to historical information of the 3 cultural centers. He also adjusted our visit based on what we wanted to do. For example, we passed a durian stand and I wanted my daughter to try it so we took a moment to sit down and enjoy some durian. I am sure that was not part of our walk but he was great about accomodating our wants. It was a hot day and Grayson was always mindful of asking us if we need drinks while we walk. Another reason why we really appreciated Grayson is that he brings his own stories to the visit. For example, for our snack in Little India, he explained to us how his family would buy the snack for him as a child. This tour was such a wonderful experience! Instead of the usual tourist spots, we got to see the real Singapore — where locals shop, how they live day-to-day, and even visit beautiful temples. Our guide was amazing: warm, funny, and full of interesting insights that made everything come alive. It truly felt like stepping into the authentic side of the city. What made it even better was that after showing us the local life, she gave us fantastic recommendations on which tourist attractions to visit the next day, so we got the best of both worlds.
