We loved our tour with Giada!! It was such a great way to see some of the city and try so many of its specialties. Giada was an amazing tour guide, so friendly and accommodating and wonderful at her job. We learned a lot of interesting tidbits about the history of Venice. Of course we also tried some amazing food. Giada was great at suggesting things for us to try while also giving us some choices and customizing the tour to our preferences. She also gave us a TON of recs for other places to eat, drink and shop, and gave us custom recs for our planned visit to the islands. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially if it’s your first time in Venice. The best way to start our trip to Venice

We were 4 ladies on a girls vacation to Venice. We chose this tour as our first activity to help us stay awake after an overnight flight from the States. It was a wonderful introduction to Venice and Olimpia did not disappoint! We were hungry after our overnight flight and Olimpia introduced us to the food offerings in Venice! Genny was an amazing tour guide! We did a walking food tour with her - her knowledge of the area was excellent and the food choices superb. We went to Venice twice on this trip. The first we did a city tour with another guide and were very non plussed about Venice. We booked a food tour with Giada on the way back through Venice and we were not looking forward to it. Giada knocked it out of the park. The 10 tastings was an excellent way to see some of Venice and sample the best of local cuisine. The food tour with Claudia was simply one of the very best tours I've ever been on, She is so friendly and engaging, within 5 minutes it felt like we were just a group of friends going out together rather that any tour! She has incredible knowledge, a wonderful sense of humour and is kind beyond belief. As usual on a with locals food tour, we ate far too much, but the food was so tasty and the locations so thoughtfully chosen, it didn't feel overwhelming, rushed or too full. Claudia not only delivered a fantastic tour with lots of laughter and fun facts, she also went above and beyond and shared transport tips, a great option for Murano, and really helped us as a friend would with next plans. Loris was excellent. He thoughtfully tailored the tour to our needs, especially since I had my 8-year-old daughter with me. When she didn’t take to the chocolates at one of the stops, he kindly ordered her some jelly sweets instead. He was incredibly knowledgeable about wine, the wines he picked for the evening were the best we had on our trip. We even bought some bottles to go. We’re so lucky to have Giada as our guide. We’ve done many food tours around the world, and Giada is definitely the best as she pairs the wonderful taste of Venice with the historical highlights of the beautiful island. We have to nominate Alexandra as the absolute best guide we have ever had! We signed up for a food walking tour, and not only did Alexandra take us to authentic, locally owned Venetian cafés and restaurants, we learned so much about how and what to order, and the historical and cultural significance of the food and beverages we sampled. Everything was delicious! She was very mindful of a food allergy we mentioned. Alexandra obviously loves her job and was right in tune with everything we wanted to try. The food tasting tour with Giada was so delightful. She's warm and inviting and very knowledgable as well. The places she took us to meant something to her and you could tell she loves what she does with her tours. The cicchetti that we sampled were fresh seafood and not just the kind on toast you see too often. The time we spent with Giada went by so fast, and you know you're having a great time when it slips away so quickly. Giada is all about making your time in Venice the best. Her wealth of information was just the right amount. Sometimes you can get too much, but the pace we were all on, was perfect. I would highly recommend using Giada. Giada took us to 4 different venues for our 10 tastings, each with a different selection and ambiance. The first bacaro (bar) had an informal neighborhood feel and a wide selection of cicchettis. She explained the different kinds we sampled and about spritz’s. We ventured on to two more places, sampling more tasty items. We ended our evening in a neighborhood wine bar with a charcuterie board and wine. She explained the meats and the wine, then finished with a selection of 4 desserts from the pastry shop across the street. Giada was very knowledgeable about the wine, the food and the history. It truly was a taste of Venezia. And fun seeing it through her eyes. Fun evening with Giada

Alexandra gave us a fabulous tour of many historical sites of Venice between stops for fabulous foods and drinks, teaching us many authentic Venetian foods and drinks. The best food tour we have ever had! She even went out of her way to search out a slice of an Easter cake for us to take back to our hotel to try!!
