I was traveling by myself and signed up for this tour knowing almost nothing about Florence, or photography! Not only was Francesco knowledgeable about Florence (he was born and raised there, knew a ton about the history, and had plenty of secret spots and fun facts to share!), he was able to give me lots of technical tips about how to use my Poloroid camera, to capture the best lighting, framing, composition, etc. So it ended up being a photography lesson too which was incredible! Francesco is warm, energetic, knowledgeable, and everything you would want in a tour guide. Highly recommend!!!Amazing tour, amazing guide!

My family and I schedule the Polaroid photography tour of Florence with Francesco on our free day from our tour group. We had an amazing time. Francesco pointed out interesting facts about the city. He has an obvious passion for photography with the Polaroid camera. He taught us quite a bit about looking for and framing interesting subjects for photos. Where should I start? My partner surprised me with this tour that I never heard of before: being armed with two classic old school Polaroid cameras, great sunny weather and an amazing tour guide, we started our Florence adventure. Francesco was not only super knowledgeable about all the big and little (fun-) facts about the city, the expertise and his passion for the cameras allowed us to take amazing pictures and at the same time great memories for our trip. Francesco's Polaroid camera tour added a fun element of creativity to viewing Florence historical center highlights. Putting into action these old cameras brought back memories, but also helped us look for details differently with less passivity and more thought about them as we considered framing photos to shoot -- or not, as this is analog, baby, no digital free for all! He's a charming and personable guy, passionate about his instant photography pastime, patient enough to help in an encouraging manner and organized. It's nice to be shown around at times on a vacation otherwise full of self-guiding activity - with the bonus here of the take home photos. We spent extra time visiting after our tour ended, learning more and exposing ourselves to Italy from a different perspective as we enjoyed our time with this local. This is an excellent tour to take. Personal and unique. I learned things I never knew about the great city of Florence and got to see it from a different perspective. Seeing that this was my second time to Florence and I had taken the tour once already and enormously enjoyed it the previous time, I decided to do it again. Francesco was kind enough to alter the route and allowed me take Polaroids of more unique aspects to my personal visit to Florence. I learned a great deal about Polaroids and photography in general that I would have not grasped by myself if not for Francesco. He is eager to share his wealth of knowledge to ensure you capture Florence through Polaroid film. Francesco’s passion is not only for Polaroid photography but also history of Florence that you wouldn’t learn except from a local like himself. He once again made it enjoyable while being patient with my questions about Florence and Polaroid photography. He even remembered which Polaroid camera I preferred from my last tour. Francesco was so much fun. He was knowledgeable and kind. He was patient and taught us a lot about photography in a short amount of time. He was very accommodating in many ways. He answered any questions we had about Florence and showed us some fabulous places to take photos and we had the most fabulous gelato ever!!! Had a great time exploring Florence with Francesco and using one of his collection of polaroid cameras. Just letting you know he gave me options as to which polaroid camera to use. Francesco knows the city very well and his English is also very good. He knows a lot of good places, even unique places such as the famous violin workshop that is very tiny that one could miss easily. He gave me some suggestions re restaurants and other interesting places to visit and he was very hands on to give directions even after the tour finished. He is an expert in using the polaroid camera who happily shares his tips and advice on how to shoot a good photo using polaroid camera. The tour was designed for everyone and I think everyone would enjoy it easily. Especially if you like photography it is still worth taking this tour. Another thing worth noting is Francesco is very dedicated to his tour and he did not mind that the tour went over time. This tour is highly recommended for anyone visiting Florence.A brilliant tour & activity

This tour was definitely a highlight of my 5 days in Florence! Francesco is an amazing guide with a passion for both Florence and polaroid photography. The photos taken while on tour are some of my favourites from my holiday, they are made even more special as it is a tangible experience and you have something to take home with you. I especially love that Francesco shows you some of the famous landmarks as well as local spots and hidden gems (he knows where to find the best Gelato!). Our family of four (kids age 8 and 11) LOVED our Polaroid tour with Francesco! He gave great instruction and information about Polaroid and instant photography! He was very patient with our kids and flexible, finding water, bathrooms, and of course gelato as needed! We loved learning about the fun street sign art, riding the carousel, and seeing new neighborhoods and quiet nooks we wouldn’t have discovered with just our guidebook. It was a very unique and artistic experience. In our age of digital photography when we make thousands of pics without paying much attention to the composition with polaroid you act more like and artist having just one chance and choosing carefully the view and the subject. It was not difficult at all to handle the camera and Francesco was very friendly and helpful showing me best spots and giving advice how to make a good picture. I definitely recommend this experience! And moreover as a result you will have wonderful vintage cards of Florence expressing your own vision of the city looking at which you will remember the details of your stay. Francesco is the local to meet in Florence! My friend and I visited Florence for a couple of days and Francesco showed us the authentic Florence style. I had no idea about how many simple tricks are to take a wonderful picture. In the end, we could take the photos with us !! Francesco is an amazing guide - taking his Polaroid tour was a perfect way to see Florence. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He was so welcoming and put a lot of thought and care into our experience. Francesco showed us how to use the Polaroid cameras in terms of lighting, angles, composition and photographic techniques unique to Polaroid photography. My husband and I have fond nostalgic memories of using Polaroid cameras when we were children, whereas our cyber-age daughter was enchanted the novelty of the camera. We loved getting to explore the streets and scenes of Florence with such a friendly and knowledgable guide. Our favorite photo from the week in Italy was the photo Francesco took (with his own digital camera) of us holding the Polaroid cameras after we stopped to eat the best gelato in Florence (a shop Francesco recommended to us). This was the most fantastic experience. The weather was terrible and Francesco kept my kids engaged the whole time. He was very giving if his time and expertise and his local knowledge. He showed us hidden gems of Florence that we would otherwise have never seen. A must book tour for adults if you want to learn more about photography and get a nice souvenir from your trip. Francesco did a great job keeping our kids engaged during the Polaroid Tour. Love that he pointed out things about the city that were not obvious. He was accommodating to the necessary “kid stops” and saved the day with balloons both as props for the pictures and for the kids to play with. In august we spend a couple of hours with Francesco taking wonderful photos in Florence. The kids (4&7) loved it. He was very patient while the girls took their time to wonder the streets of this beautiful city. Having the Polaroid camera and searching for special places to take a picture made it very interesting. Because of the kids we had some extra breaks but this was no problem.
