Alp showed me the lesser touristy part of Istanbul: Kadiköy on the asian side of town. We went to several art works and murals and Alp knew very much to tell about every artpiece. He also responded to my questions on culture, language and history in a very interesting and facing way. I learned a lot new facts about Istanbul and e.g. the role of Germans in the development of the railways in Turkey. We had coffee and turkish cay and chatted about photography. Hope to come back to Istanbul and hopefully doing another tour with Alp.A different perspective

We booked the Street Art Tour with Alp but it was so much more. He showed us his favourite food spots in Kadikoy, we had a nice Coffee break and the street art was really special. My friend and I did a morning street-art tour with Alp and it was definitely one one the best experiences of our Istanbul-trip! Alp is a a kind, knowledgeable and service-minded guide and it was pure luxury to spend three hours in the company of someone who is born and raised in Istanbul. Alp was clear, concise and timely with communications. He allowed our group of two to ask many questions and make requests. We toured during February’s 1st snow and Alp graciously continued to guide us stopping a few extra times for hot beverages and warmth. He was quite knowledgeable about Turkey’s broad history, current events, Europe & Asian sides as well as extensive details on the who:what:why:when of the STREET ART. The community jewels (restaurants, stores, architecture, etc.) were welcome additions to our journey. We enjoyed this modern glimpse into the heartbeat of Turkey. We were looking for a reason to explore the Asian side of Istanbul, and found this tour. We're so glad we did it! We had a wonderful afternoon with Alp - his tour is more than just street art, we went to a couple of local cafes, learned about culture and history, and even got some great shopping tips. Alp is a friendly, knowledgeable guy, and adjusted the pace where we wanted to stay a bit longer & take photos, or move on to the next things. We highly recommend Alp as a guide ! We spent a full afternoon with him walking around the Kadikoy area discovering Street Art. The annual Street Art Festival in Kadikoy turns the place into a real museum. Just follow Alp from one wall to another, listen to the story and background of each work and feel the atmosphere of the place. The stop at the café was welcome to enjoy a warm Salep and get Alp's tips to discover Istanbul in a different way. What an excellent afternoon!

My daughter and I really enjoyed this street art tour! First, you get to see a really wonderful neighborhood in Istanbul and a different slice of life that is less touristy. Second, there are some great street murals and history behind them. Third, Alp is super personable and an excellent guide. He even made a detour to take us to two comic book stores because of my daughter's interest. Highly recommend!Fabulous tour and experience

Istanbul is very crowdy, I chose Alp for a Street art tour, in a nice neighbourhood at the Asian side. Lively but not too crowdy. He surprised me everytime with Street art you would not see walking alone. With that as the red line he expalined and told a lot about Istanbul history and present. And we have a love in common, comic books, so we ended at a comic store. I've learned a lot and it was pleasant. So yes, I can say, have a walk with Alp and enjoy Istanbul from a more relaxed way. The street art tour is the second tour we've done with Alp (also did the 10 tastings tour 2 years ago). Alp is a warm, engaging and interesting guy who kept our family (2 18yo lads) entertained. This was our first time in Istanbul and we wanted to explore the Asian side of the city. We booked this tour to (a) commit to seeing the Asian side and (b) to explore the street art of the city. Alp gave us excellent directions for a meeting place and we headed off. We were immediately taken by Alp's calm and relaxing persona, this certainly worked well for my personality type as I hate being rushed around....... especially when on holiday! We chose really well as Alp had an excellent knowledge of the impressive street art which he is clearly passionate about. He was equally engaged in our experiences and took genuine interest in the other places we had visited. Overall this was a fantastic tour with a genuinely lovely chap. He also treated us to some lovely drinks and snacks. Relaxed, interesting and unique.

Alp was a fantastic guide with an incredible knowledge of street artists, local history and art in politics. As someone who travels quite a bit, I love the evolution that is occurring with street art all over the world. The transition from back alley graffiti to the guerilla art seen today is fascinating and Alp's input on the political and societal commentary from this art is what elevates this tour. His personalized recommendations for me were spot on as well, sharing art, exploration, dining and shopping suggestions that were perfect. Alp was a gem. Our three hour tour was over five. He had certainly done his research. We saw the art from all perspectives, social, political, aesthetic and just for the enjoyment. We didn't backtrack at all and the tour was well paced. No question or request was too difficult. We learned a lot about the area of Kadikoy and the lives of the people there. He gave us a great restaurant suggestion close to our hotel which we followed up on (the meal was fabulous). We also followed up with a trip to the Pera Museum he recommended. Alp was a fantastic tour guide. He took us to many out of the way murals that would have been very difficult to find on our own and his tour was very thoughtfully planned. Alp has an engaging interactive style and a wealth of knowledge about each mural as well as about the area in general. We were able to view more 20 street murals by international and Turkish artists as well as several smaller street art works. We learned about the architecture and local history along the way, stopped for coffee in a neighborhood cafe, and he translated graffiti we were curious about. More than that he recommended local cafes for dinner and even took us to each one to review them and secured us an outside table reservation for restaurant with fabulous food and a great atmosphere (Musaade Meyhane). Although I was actually feeling very ill the stories about the streetart but also some of the buildings were so interesting that we almost made it to the end. We visited Istanbul on a cruise ship and were able to spend 2 full days here. We were fortunate to spend both days with Alper as our guide and could not have enjoyed our time there more. Day 1 we did the Princes Islands tour via public transport, ferry and cycling on the island. We were able to see a good bit there because you can get more done on a bicycle than by foot (although we did have to walk the bikes for some very short distances). Lunch was at our expense at a wonderful seafood restaurant with incredible views. Day 2 we did the "Alternative Istanbul" tour which includes street art and architecture on the Asian side. Although we had been in Istanbul a number of times in the past, Alper was able to share a part of the city (and it's wonderful art and architecture) that we had never visited before. All in all, an incredible and wonderful 2 days with a knowledgeable, friendly and very capable guide in Alper. Highly recommended!2 wonderful days with Alper

Met Alper at the assigned time after following his instructions to get to the Asian side. He gave us a great tour of the residential neighborhood and its street art. The market visit was exciting.
