While I had done some research before booking this tour, I knew that a private tour for four was what I needed, but I had no idea what to expect. Antonio was great at communicating by message and was able to setup a tour that had the stops that we were looking for. Pickup went smoothly and was the start to the most memorable day of our entire trip. Antonio’s knowledge was incredible and he was a true expert down to some suggestions as to where we may want to stop for lunch. All three stops we made were all stunning in their own way. Should we ever be back in Barcelona I would make a point to book any tours we wish to see with Antonio. Tour was the best part of our trip by far

Being that this was my family's first time using With Locals and being a young family of four, I wasn't quite sure what to expect but knew what we wanted. We got everything imagined and then some on this trip. Antonio was fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable of Spanish history and the lay of the land. The trip brought us right to the point of what became the highlight of our entire European vacation. Antonio picked us up on time at out apartment and went over a few options and ideas that would work best based on our preference. We wenth through several small towns and stopped for coffee alongside some of the most beautiful fishermen towns. Ate at the loveliest restaurant on the Mediterranean (Antonio made advance reservation). We then proceed to visit some of the most spectacular beaches and overlooks I've ever seen. Peaceful and quiet beaches with the most perfect scenery. Antonio was perfect and the trip was incredible -- highly recommended.Amazing Adventure

Antonio arrived on time and had a clean and reliable vehicle. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Spanish / Catalonian culture and took us to see some incredible towns and beaches. He was able to adjust quickly when we wanted to stay longer at one of the towns and even brought us umbrellas from his vehicle when the rain started. Awesome recommendations for restaurants and great conversation. I’d highly recommend!Perfect way to spend a day

My friend and I splurged on this trip because we wanted the flexibility of a private tour. We made the right decision! I think it was a good value. Antonio arrived on time, asked what our preferences were based on the itinerary on the app. We chose to go to two beaches, have lunch on the water, and visit one adorable town inland. I am not remembering of the names right now but we enjoyed all of these places. The first beach was my favorite because it was a uncrowded, and the water was perfect. One thing to note is that the drive there was an hour and a half and the drive back was one hour and 45 minutes, which felt long after a full day of touring, but it is what it is, just good to know. Driving to and around Costa Brava with Antonio was an interesting experience filled with beautiful beaches and an ancient walled city. The coolest part about the beaches is that they were tiny, tucked-away gems that we never would have found on our own. Antonio suggested the best of the beachfront restaurants for a memorable meal in a gorgeous natural setting. After lunch we stopped at a medieval city that was like a time capsule. Antonio was on time to pick us up and a very nice person. His recommendation for lunch was great--right on the beach and good food. And while the places we went to were fine, what would have made the day better is if it were better planned/outlined prior to the trip. I had told him that we didn't want to go to the botanical gardens, and that was no problem. But the places we went felt very 'on the fly.' It was "beach or towns." Had we been given some towns/beaches ahead of time to research, we could have chosen places that better interested us and ones that had a beach plus a cute town to explore. I guess I should have done this but having never been there before, I really had no idea where to begin. And while lunch worked out, we literally had to pull over on the side of the road to make a reservation. Had he given us the name of the restaurant prior, I would have been happy to make that reservation ahead of time. Our first stop was a beautiful beach but it was a very long walk to get to it, and it was very hot and then we went on a hike but I had said we didn't want to hike in the heat--I thought we were only going to a spot to take pictures but it was a 40-minute walk/hike, and it was just a good thing that we had on the proper shoes because again, we were not told ahead of time what to prepare for. I would say, overall, it was a fine day--we enjoyed learning about the coast and saw some beautiful towns and beaches. But it would have been a wonderful day had we had some more communication and guidance prior to the trip. Last, we would have preferred the guide to give us info and then let us explore on our own as that's how any past tour we've done has been, so I didn't know ahead of time to make sure that's how it would be. I think better communication prior to a trip would be better for everyone involved. Good but could be better...

Onder een stralende zon nam Antonio ons mee naar enkele leuke , minder toeristische afgelegen kustplaatsjes langs de Costa Brava. Hij nam ons mee op kleine wandeling om vissershuisjes te verkennen, liet ons de ruimte om frisse duik te doen en bracht ons naar gezellig restaurantje met zicht op zee. we sloten af met een ijsje in een mooi authentiek dorpje. Een fantastische dag. We dachten wel dat we dichter bij Barcelona zelf zouden blijven, was toch wel 1,5u rijden vooraleer we eerste stop deden. Antonio pikte ons op aan ons appartement en liet ons overal de tijd, zelfs al duurde de dag wat langer dan voorzien. Een aanrader om eens een andere kant van de streek dan Barcelona te ontdekken.Leuke trip naar mooie kustplaatsjes

Antonio was great, started off picking us up at our hotel which was super nice and saved us some walking! He was super informative and knew a lot about the coast and different beaches we stopped at. The first beach was almost hidden and without a local we would have never found it, some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. Antonio recommended a lunch spot right on one of the beaches and took us to it, such an amazing view while we ate! After lunch we had the option to see more beaches or check out a mid evil town, it was nice to have options. We ended up at this super cool mid evil town where Antonio told us some stories about the iron work in the town. It was a truly beautiful experience and Antonio was great and very informative. A great trip up the coast!

My husband and I booked one tour with Antonio. Antonio worked with us to customize a tour of specific places we wanted to see, we were interested in visiting Girona and some sites on the Costa Brava. We had a wonderful tour of Girona, he gave us a really fascinating explanation of the city's history and even showed us places that where featured in Game of Thrones, we are huge fans of the show so that was really cool to see. We also visited the medieval towns of Peratallada and Pals which we also really enjoyed. We did some shopping at the ceramics town of Bisbal and visited antique shops. After, we had lunch at a beautiful little seaside town of Palafrugell Calella and Antonio helped us make reservations to a popular restaurant in town. The food was delicious and one of our favorite meals from the entire trip. After lunch we visited several beaches along the Costa Brava which was one of my favorite parts of the tour, the Costa Brava is absolutely beautiful. The beaches we visited are not always offered on other tour companies which is one of the reasons why we were interested in booking with Antonio. We took other tours during our trip and this was by far our favorite, we wished we had more time to book another tour with Antonio. Overall the day was wonderful and we felt like we were touring with a friend. I highly recommend booking a tour with Antonio! Girona and Costa Brava

Our family was looking to explore Costa Brava and I'm glad we chose Antonio to take us around the area! He was kind enough to take us to several places and was very flexible during the time we were with him. Despite the weather being a bit gloomy on the day we went, Antonio still made our trip worthwhile, taking us to a beautiful field of wildflowers, the coastline, a pottery shop, and a great restaurant by the sea. If you have general or specific things you want to explore during your tour, I would mention them to Antonio and he'll create an appropriate schedule. He is extremely knowledgeable about Spain as a whole and was very kind and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! Great trip to Costa Brava!

Antonio was on time Picking us up in the be city before heading out to Costa Brava. His car was a smaller Opal so a bit tight for four people. He had to stop for gas on the way out but he told us he was not on a schedule and our day lasted nearly 11 hours, so all good. He was very relaxed with the schedule and we found a very local place for lunch which ended up being the highlight meal of our three day trip. Ask him to take you to El Teatret in Bisbal. You won’t be disappointed. We felt like we spent the day with a friend or family member. Fasntastic day

Antonio arranged for a great day by the coast. Our family wanted to see another side of Barcelona and Antonio didn’t disappoint. we made several stops and each one was unique and afforded us gorgeous views of the Mediterranean. Our favorite was having lunch right on the beach with amazingly fresh seafood. Second was our time in the botanical garden as this was an unexpected delight. Antonio was prompt, courteous, engaging and catered the tour to fulfill all of our needs and wishes. I mentioned I wanted to see beaches and my girlfriend wanted to see historic landmarks. Antonio changed the tour itinerary on the spot and we visited four beaches and three small towns that had castles and cathedrals. Each stop was visually Stunning and Antonio gave us insightful historical perspective about each location. In addition to first rate service what I enjoyed most about our time with Antonio was he seemed to sincerely enjoy taking us on a tour and not once did I ever feel like an inconvenience but rather I felt like we were on an adventure together enjoying each other's company.Everything we wanted and more

We went on Costa Brava villages drive with him during Christmas week. I wasn't sure if it was a right choice during that time of the year but what a day it was. While it is close to my best day on our entire 8 day trip to Barcelona. It was my kids who are 18 and 16 say it's there best day and they credit Antonio. He explained lot of things on our way and at the 3 coastal villages we went. He is very passionate about his country. I asked him to take me back to Barcelona 30 minutes early as I wanted to take picture of Sagrada Familia just after sunset. Instead, he suggested Tibidabo and "Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus". It was on my list of places to visit for sunset and blue hour but I decided not to go as it's expensive to get there on cab from where we were staying. He took us there and waited over an hour for me to capture several lovely pictures from above the church. He is just outstanding and anyone reading this review, don't hesitate to join the journey with Antonio.Antonio is beyond exceptional!!

Antonio picked us up at our hotel and his English was great and his driving skills made us feel safe. It was a treat to have a driver and what we did not expect was for Antonio to know everything about the area and its history. It was a narrated day from start to finish and we certainly seemed to hit the best spots with the least traffic. While the car is small, it was sufficient for the 2 of us. What Antonio pulls of for such an economical price is magic. We went to small towns and incredible beaches that simply wouldn't have been possible without Antonio. Even with GPS, you cannot imagine doing this trip on your own. Antonio is a very kind, professional and laid back history aficionado. He took us to some amazing scenic beaches and towns in the Costa Brava region and to a wonderful town where the main source of income is pottery. We bought pieces for a third of the price of downtown Barcelona. He also organized a meal of paella for us overlooking the most beautiful beach cove nestled between cliffs. The entire day was enjoyable and we didnt have to rent a car, drive, or risk getting lost. I highly recommend. Tomorrow Antonio is taking us to Monserrat. Costa Brava
