Andras took us on an interesting tour that showed contrasts of the old and newer more popular parts of Budapest. He is so knowledgeable and really fitted the experience around what our interests were. We loved it and learned lots about the country and its people. Budapest is busy with traffic but we felt safe following Andras along the roads and cycle paths. We’re all in our fifties and haven’t cycled for years but it’s made us keen to start cycling again! Brilliant tour

We had the most wonderful afternoon with Andras, eating our way around Budapest. We chose the 5 hour Budapest City Tour and were able to do it the afternoon of our arrival in the city. It was a great introduction and overview of what we would be experiencing during our time in Budapest. Andras provided great insight and context about the City, the country and the region. We visited all the highlights, sampled local snacks and jumped on public transit. It was a fantastic experience. Andras stepped in after our previous guide was forced to cancel and his quick response to questions and updates were very reassuring, as this was our first "With Locals" tour. Showed us a number of the sights on the Pest side in the three hours but also by spending time at the river managed to highlight key Buda attractions . With only two days in Budapest we needed a thorough overview and Andras delivered. He met us at our hotel with day passes for public transit which was a great way to see all the important sites. Andras’ commentary was filled with history, politics and a locals perspective on life in Budapest, providing us with real insight into what it is like to live here. We covered a tremendous amount of ground during our 5 hour tour. We then spent the next day getting a deeper dive on our own, fully confident in how to use the transit system. Andras was a really nice guy to hang out with and took us to some interesting spots off the beaten track. He was friendly and knowledgeable without being a historian. Andras shared some of his real life experiences of living in Budapest as well as his worldly views of being a Hungarian today. The bikes we hired were excellent and comfortable. Due to time we were not able to have a beer with him which was a shame, but it was so nice of him to offer to hang out with us.Great local insight from a young local

Andras was our guide on a great bike tour of Budapest. We got a little lost on the way to the meeting spot and it didn’t matter- he was able to adjust his time and make the tour later. We saw all of the sights and even stopped for a quick snack at a spot we never would have found on our own- thank you for the time and local knowledge! We partook of the “kickstart tour” with Andras on our very first night in Budapest. It was the best way to begin our journey. Très déçue de cette visite, car Andras n’avait pas l’air d’avoir préparé quelque chose. On un peu suivi… je ne sais pas quoi. La visite n’avait rien de familiale: de la marche d’un endroit de la ville à un autre et enfin les enfants n’ont jamais eu le gâteau promis dans la visite… Bref, les enfants n’ont pas aimé. Je déconseille Andras pour les familles Sinon guide plutôt gentil, avec un beau français Guide gentil mais visite pas prête

Andras took us through his city explaining all the prominent sights of Budapest. We had two children aged 6 and 11 along with us and he kept them engaged. He was extremely knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed along the way. Andras, thank you for such a welcoming and outstanding early morning tour. You were so right: the wonderful sites and views of the city without the crowds is the way to go. I really appreciated how well you threaded geography, history, language and heritage iinto our tour. We recently braved a bitterly cold day in Budapest for a 5 hour highlights tour with Andras - and I’m so glad we did! Andras was a perfect host for Hungary, a vibrant example of hope for the future and love of country that every citizen would do well to emulate in their own countries. His knowledge of the sites and history kept us interested for the entire time, we were mesmerized by the stories he told and loved talking politics in a civilized manner (we’re Americans, that doesn’t seem to happen in the US much anymore). Andras was conscious of our comfort during the cold, stopping for warm ups but never wavering on helping us better appreciate his country through commentary. It was utterly delightful and we left Hungary feeling as though we truly experienced a big slice of it, although we only had a day to spend there. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better guide for Buda and Pest, this man loves his country and it’s infectious. Andras was an informative, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly guide. A local of Budapest his work with the UN gave him a unique perspective on the city - throughout the tour we had many questions that he answered with considered detail. I can highly recommend this personalised experience, especially as an introduction to a new city.
