Paolo was a terrific guide for both the golf cart tour (exploration of Rome) and the Guided Tour of the Colosseum. He began the golf cart tour by asking us what we wanted to see and learn. Paolo provided an excellent overview and history of what we were seeing. We, a family of 6, had the most wonderful experience of a 3 hour tour, with Lia. Through Colosseum, The Palatine and Forum Romanum, Lia shared her deep knowledge and great stories about this part of the ancient Rome. It is clearly, she's very passionate and at the same time, the facts and stories are told lively with humour and smiles. This was our first tour on the day we landed from the States and our youngest was beyond jet lagged, but Pietro was understanding and still gave a great tour. He saved us so much time in navigating the check points on entry for each section and his iPad with additional pictures and videos were very helpful in explaining and visualizing what it would have been like during the games. Alessandra was absolutely amazing. We got to the meeting place early and she was there ready to start. I have 4 kids ranging from 7-16 and they were all so engaged in everything she said. She always made sure my youngest came to the front so he could see and hear. Alessandra was so informative, we learnt so much from our hour with her and she happily answered any questions that we had. We were all so glad we had an expert showing us around, it made the experience so much more worth it. We opted for the shorter 1.5 hour tour thinking our kids would lose interest and Frederico made the most of it, filling us in on the history and giving us an appreciation of what it was like in Ancient Rome. We booked a 90 minute tour of the Colosseum with Pietro Paolo. The administration of booking and connecting was highly efficient and user friendly. The actual tour was phenomenal, Pietro Paolo's background knowledge, level of detail and understanding, coupled with his ability to communicate not just fluently in English, but with nuance and metaphor was fantastic. Our tour guide Paolo was the best! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Answered each and every question we had. No matter how silly. He joked with us and informed us of several facts that we did not know. He was packed full of so much good information. We are so grateful and thankful for him and the way he elevated our experience at the colosseum. Highly recommend him. We are from the United States and were worried about the language barrier but Paolo spoke English very well and his communication skills were top notch. First day in Italy, just off the plane, 4 adults and 3 small children. If this first family adventure was to be a success we had to do a Coliseum tour that first day... we met Pietro exactly where and when he said he would be. The tour gave us access to parts of the colosseum that we would not have been able to view and also allowed us easy entry and to skip the long lines. Of particular interest was the training of the gladiators and the lives that they lived, albeit short for many. Very knowledgeable, prompt and polite.

Paulo was a fantastic guide and I couldn't recommend him too highly. From the point of booking, his communication was excellent, clear and very helpful indeed. We booked Paulo for a tour of the Colosseum, wanting to gain a better historical understanding than we might have done from the audio guide or the boards around the site. And we had a much, much better experience than we could possibly have hoped for - Paulo really is a passionate historian and incredibly knowledgeable about all of Rome. We had already covered so much of the history even before we walked through the archway and onto the Arena floor and Paulo made it completely come to life for us as we entered the Arena. He answered our questions brilliantly - the history, the architecture, the nature of the games, the animals, the gladiators, the emperors and the citizens and so much more AND his many pictures and historic images helped to further illuminate and enhance the experience. I think our tour over-ran a bit as Paulo was happy to answer all of our questions in great detail and with true depth of knowledge, being very generous with his time and knowledge and very patient with all our questions. If you are looking for a guide who will bring historic Rome to life, is a font of fascinating information, as well as being charming and helpful - pick Paulo for your tour!.Fantastic guide, highly recommended
